A slate full of heavy favorites is lined up for us on Wednesday. All of the top teams in these matchups have legitimate shots to make deep runs and even win their respective leagues at the end of the Summer. Consistency will be key here and how well can these top teams lockdown and close out games against weaker opponents. You should expect the series in the LPL to be especially bloody on Wednesday. All four of those teams are big proponents of trying to fight their way out of problems and if you land on the right side of those picks, you could be seeing a lot of green in your lobbies. Let’s dive in!

League of Legends DFS Breakdown

Series #1: Fredit BRION v DRX

Series Breakdown: I want to start this analysis by saying that Fredit BRION look better than they have in past splits. They have a little more coordination and have a sense of where they should be on the map at any given time. This being said, the execution of gameplans just isn't there. To their credit, they did beat Nongshim in week 5 but outside of that win, they have lost every other series they have played in. Fredit is walking into an angry hornet’s nest on Wednesday in DRX. A couple of weeks ago, DRX was going into a match with T1 Esports in a position to take a stake of 1st place. Including that series, DRX is now 1-3 in their last four including two losses to T1 Esports. DRX is desperate for a series win and they have some serious firepower to tap into.

While BRO’s ADC (Hena) has held onto a reasonable KDA this split (2.3 KDA with 41 kills) he is going to take a serious hit on Wednesday. DRX’s ADC (Deft) has a 3.6 KDA and has dropped 76 kills in 24 games. The real carry for DRX though is in the middle lane (Zeka) and he has 84 kills and a 30% team kill share percentage. Don’t leave Zeka off your lineups because his importance to this team is entirely too high to leave off!

Favorite Picks: Zeka (DRX: $11,100/$7,400), Pyosik (DRX: $6,600), Deft (DRX: $7,400), BeryL (DRX: $5,400)

Value Picks: Hena (BRO: $6,400), Morgan (BRO: $5,200)

Cann’s Match Pick: DRX (2-0)

Series #2: Nongshim RedForce v Damwon

Series Breakdown: Damwon are holding onto the chances of getting a bid into the automatic placement in the LCK Playoff Semifinals at the end of the split. The top two seeds get an automatic bid into an upper bracket that would require them to win one series to make the Summer championships. They are sitting two games back of Gen.G and T1, meaning they have no room for error down the stretch. They will need to continue to rely on deokdam (ADC) to continue to output the numbers he has been. He has 97 kills (2nd among ADCs), a 6.0 KDA, and a 35% team kill share percentage. Players like ShowMaker and Canyon have transitioned into more supportive roles and have done a good job controlling the early game to set up the bottom lane for success. Nongshim are a broken team and you can see it in their play. You have some of the biggest names in LCK history playing at such low quality that it is hard to watch them. This should be another pretty quick 2-0 in the LCK for this slate.

Favorite Picks: deokdam (DK: $11,400/$7,600), Nuguri (DK: $6,400), Kellin (DK: $5,600)

Value Picks: Dread (NS: $6,000), Bdd (NS: $6,200)

Cann’s Match Pick: Damwon (2-0)

Series #3: TOP Esports v Rare Atom

Series Breakdown: The one thing that you can almost guarantee in a split over the past three years is that TES will position themselves as one of the best teams in the LPL and then inexplicably find a way to get rolled by a bottom-tier team. Wednesday just feels like a day where TES could drop to a much weaker team and I think if it does happen, it will happen in the bottom lane. When you look at JackeyLove’s numbers (both this split and historically), he is one of the best in most categories in the LPL.

This split he has 102 kills (nearly 4 per game average), a KDA of 5.0, and a 35% team kill share percentage. What you can’t see on a stat sheet is the fact that he will produce great numbers in bursts but then disappear during other periods of time. Rare Atom really only has one consistent piece and that is their ADC, iBoy. They have a great control player (Strive) in the mid lane but his strength isn’t the making of flashy plays but finding ways to keep his opponent in the mid lane with him or punishing them heavily when they leave. If JackeyLove cannot put out a good performance on Wednesday, there may be a spot for iBoy to make this series interesting.

Favorite Picks: knight (TES: $11,700/$7,800), WayWard (TES: $6,800), Tian (TES: $7,200)

Value Picks: iBoy (RA: $6,000), Rare Atom ($4,400)

Cann’s Match Pick: TOP Esports (2-0)

Series #4: Bilibili Gaming v Royal Never Give Up

Series Breakdown: This is the closest series on the slate and it still isn’t close. I do predict RNG to drop a game to BLG but not because BLG is good but more because RNG has a hard time cleanly closing out the series. Look for them to make a big error in either the draft or early portions of a game and BLG to sneak out a win because they jumped out to a big lead. The GALA and Ming bottom lane should be more than adequate enough to put this series away but the interesting matchup will be in the top lane. RNG’s former top laner (bin) who was traded to BLG after their MSI Championship this year will have his first chance to take revenge on his former team. Going up against Breathe won’t be an easy task but I also don’t feel like he has been as dramatic of an improvement as I think RNG had hoped.

Favorite Picks: Gala (RNG: $11,700/$7,800), Xiaohu (RNG: $11,400/$7,600), Ming (RNG: $6,000)

Value Picks: icon (BLG: $6,800), can (BLG: $6,200), bin (BLG: $5,800)

Cann’s Match Pick: Royal Never Give Up (2-1)
