We are coming off a hot Monday slate, picking the upset of FPX over LNG. We used a lot a clues to pick out key matchups that led to the upset and we will be breaking down matchups for Tuesday as well. While we see a lower likelihood of an upset, we do see players across the slate who are poised for big performances. Being at the beginning of Week 6 in the 10 week LPL Summer Split means the pressure is on and every match is high intensity. Not making the post-season means a team can’t make the World Championship this fall and that remains the ultimate goal of every team. So let’s dive in and build those lineups!

Fantasy Value Breakdown

Series #1: Royal Never Give Up v Team World Elite

Series Breakdown: A few years ago you would have slammed Team WE players in this matchup and not thought twice about it. Presently, most people would avoid Team WE like the plague. They have little focus and direction, along with a lack of what feels like real firepower. WE has had an over-reliance on their mid-laner (Shanks) and that has proven to be less than successful. This isn’t an indictment on Shanks (70% team kill participation rate and only 18.2% team death share rate) but more about how there is no support around him. He is a supporting piece and prefers to shine in larger teamfights but the lineup created is forcing him to be an early game carry, which he is not. RNG is going to rebound hard after their series loss to TES. Biggest point value grabber will be Gala because Team WE’s biggest gap has to be the bottom lane. Gala (75 kills and 87 assists) is one of the highest producing members of this squad and has benefitted from Xiaohu in the middle lane creating pressure that enemy teams need to respond to. This should be a faster 2-0 series.

Favorite Picks: Gala (RNG: $11,700/$7,800), Xiaohu (RNG: $11,400/$7,600), Breathe (RNG: $6,200), Royal Never Give Up ($5,000)

Value Picks: beishang (WE: $6,200), Shanks (WE: $7,000)

Cann’s Match Pick: Royal Never Give Up (2-0)

Series #2: Oh My God v TOP Esports

Series Breakdown: While the odds for this game are arguably closer than that of RNG and TWE, I don’t think they are close enough. This is a real risk for an upset and I will tell you why. Oh My God is a scrappy team that if it were not for three uncharacteristic matches at the end of Spring, they would have made the playoffs and probably made a decent run. Their top laner (shanji) is without a doubt in the top three best top laners in the LPL and most likely on the move to a major team as soon as possible. He has 4.1 KDA and 70+ kills on a team who has a series record of 4-4. OMG as a team has some pretty decent upsets on their resume so far with wins over both LNG and EDG this split and they took RNG to a full 3 game set. TES will need to rely on the power of their mid laner, Knight, to carry the day on Tuesday. He showed up against RNG picking up 15 kills, 14 assists and only dying 4 times in the full 3 matches played. I don’t foresee this being an actual flip but I expect TES to drop a match because of an early game that went poorly and all three matches to be close.

Favorite Picks: JackeyLove (TES: $11,400/$7,600), Knight (TES: $11,100/$7,400), Mark (TES: $5,800), Tian (TES: $6,800)

Value Picks: shanji (OMG: $5,600), Able (OMG: $7,200), OMG ($4,600)

Cann’s Match Pick: TOP Esports (2-1)
