The first qualifier for the World Championships has been locked in with Gen.G’s win over LSB on Saturday. Sunday will give us our second with the winner of T1 and Damwon earning the right to also represent the LCK in North America this fall. In the LPL, Victory Five and LNG are looking to be the fourth participant in the LPL upper bracket. These are some of the best teams playing the best League of Legends in the world. Series #1: T1 Esports (-335) v Damwon Gaming KIA  (+235)

Series Breakdown: This is a classic showdown between LCK rivals. An overwhelming number of LCK Finals have come down to these two teams and this split has them squaring off for the right to play in the finals against Gen.G. Damwon is a decent pick for a potential upset here and I will tell you why. ShowMaker is not one to lose lane to Faker and will match his roaming. In the bottom lane you could make the case that deokdam has a higher ceiling compared to Gumayusi and Kellin and Keria are fairly comparable in terms of impact supports. With any way this series breaks, I fully expect this to be a close series.

Series Breakdown: There is no reason for this series to be close. The only lane that V5 shouldn’t have an advantage is with Rich in the top lane. V5 have the most dominant carries (Rookie and Photic) in the LPL and these two should carry the day. Most believe (and I have said it all year) that LNG are not among the elite. Most of their wins come against bad teams or getting lucky against a team having a bad day. They have shown pretty consistently that they cannot close the deal in longer series against good teams, which is what I expect to take place on Sunday.
