We have made it to the final week of play for the LPL! Seven teams are fighting over four playoff spots and it could not be tighter. The bulk of teams in the LPL have hovered around .500 win percentage and the tiebreaker is all about the total games played W/L record. So those teams who could steal a game from a good team in a series loss have huge advantages over those teams who dropped games in a series win over bad teams. Clean play is needed from three out of four teams for the hope to continue their season next week, so let’s dive in!

Series #1: TT Gaming v Royal Never Give Up

Series Breakdown: Heading into the final week of play, RNG is poised to finish up in the top four of the LPL Coming into their matchup against TT Gaming, RNG is on the second longest win streak of the LPL (8 games) and will close out the split against another weak team (LGD) to hopefully round out to a 14 win team. Unfortunately for TT, they are holding on to a narrow lead over FunPlus Phoenix and Bilibili Gaming and after Monday could be on the outside looking in. TT will need to lean on their mid/jungle duo of Ucal and Beichuan to continue to carry the rest of their teammates. Uacl (4.6 KDA, 109 kills) would be best suited on some of his more flexible and flashy picks like his Sylas or Azir. The problem for Ucal and TT is that even is Xiaohu (RNG mid) is kept in check, they will need to figure out how to deal with Gala. Gala (191 kills, 214 assists) is one of the most dangerous carries in the entire league. He has a killer instinct that allows him to move in and finishing off kills at a tremendous clip. The bottom laner will carry the day here and should be a slam dunk for your captain slot.

Series #2: Bilibili Gaming v Team WE

Series Breakdown: Bilibili Gaming, after one of the worst splits compared to the expectations of them, may actually back into the LPL playoffs. The key for BLG making the playoffs will be for them to cleanly win this last series, and this is what may ultimately be their downfall. I have no doubt that they will beat the worst team in the LPL, Team WE. WE has a poorly constructed roster and has only won 9 individual games all split. My pause is that BLG has an inexplicable knack for fumbling over themselves when it should be an easy game to close out. Follow this closely because while it should be a runaway series for BLG, them losing a game has huge implications.
