The League of Legends LEC is back for week two of their Summer Split and we have some hot matches to start our weekend off right. You can build DFS LoL lineups on DraftKings with the slate starting at 12 pm ET on Friday afternoon. The biggest storyline for Friday is the MAD Lions versus Fnatic and the revenge game of MAD’s new mid-laner, Nisqy. After being dropped, Nisqy has some names in a little black book he would like to prove wrong and the whole Fnatic oranization has to be in there. I am also intrigued to see what this reinvented Excel Esports will do against a Team Vitality team who knocked them out of the Spring Playoffs. In both cases, revenge is an aspect of the matchup and I love those types of storylines. With bragging rights on the line, let’s dive into Friday's DFS League of Legends slate on DraftKings.

Game #1: SK Gaming v Astralis

Game Breakdown: Astralisl is looks like the better team but don’t be fooled, they have played far lesser competition. I expect the Treatz/Jezu bottom lane poring to play much better today and that to translate into big points for SK. Kobbe has looked like a breath of fresh air for AST and Xerxe has also brought life to this team’s objective control but there is a gap in total team experience here that should shine through.

Game #2: Team Vitality v Excel Esports 

Game Breakdown: VIT somehow become lesser than the total sum of their parts in game. They have such an exceptional lineup but struggle when it comes to putting it together in-game. I think this may be the perfect example of superstars shine not because they are with other superstars but brvsjdd they fit into a team identity. XL fits that mood and Patrik tends to be the beneficiary of that approach. Love XL to get their revenge here.

Game Breakdown: this game won’t be as close as the records may look. Rogue had a brutal start to their split but with easier opponents, look for them to catch fire. Misfits will continue to struggle and I suspect Vetheo will leave Europe in 2023. Malrand will be playerof the match here bevysdr Shlatan has shown he can easily be outclassed.

Game Breakdown: on this slate there may be no favorite heavier than G2. BDS is just terrible and lack both individual skill and team coordination. I want G2’s top laner, BrokenBlade to be on a carry. Allow him to take over the hand through the side land and pick apart BDS.

Game Breakdown: I cannot wait for this match. The MAD Lions look completely different with their new mid laner. The side lanes of Armut and Unforgiven seem to be unlocked with the support of Nisqy. An angle for FNC will be Wunder jumping on the overaggression of Armut at times, but I have lived Eloyay’s ability to support lanes as of late.
