(-1800) Victory Five v LGD Gaming (+750)

(-135) TOP Esports v FunPlus Phoenix (+105)

Welcome to week 6 in the LPL and the Chinese organizations have limited time to get high enough in the standings to make it to the Spring Playoffs. While three of the four teams on the slate would make the dance if the split ended today, the strongest team is Victory Five. FPX and Top Esports both are sitting at the bottom of the playoff teams and have a record of 4-4. Parody may be your best bet in most lobbies but I am going to highlight some players you have to keep your eyes out for on Monday! Let’s dive in!

Series #1: Victory Five v LGD Gaming

Cann’s Pick:  Victory Five (2-0)

Series #2: TOP Esports v FunPlus Phoenix

Cann’s Pick: FunPlus Phoenix (2-1)

Fantasy Value Breakdown

Favorite: Photic (V5: $11,700/$7,800) Photic has the highest kill total on the slate with 90 total kills over 20 games played. His pace is really impressive, especially when you compare him to the current kill leader in the LPL (Betty) who has 119 in 26 games played to the 90 kills in 20 games for Photic. With both players at a 4.5 kills per game average, we can assume at the end of the season, Photic could be the kill leader in the LPL. Add to this fact that V5 have played almost all of the top teams in the LPL meaning even better performances incoming for the V5 ADC.

Favorite: Karsa (V5: $10,800/$7,200) I have said this before  and I will say it again, Top Esports lost a lot when Karsa left the lineup. In 2022 he has a 4.4 KDA (one of the highest among LPL junglers) with a 70% team kill participation rate to boot. LGD is struggling as a team and are one of the weakest teams around neutral objectives. These are crucial points for junglers to pick up points and I think we could see a big showing from Karsa.

Favorite: Rookie (V5: $11,400/$7,600) Rookie has rediscovered himself with V5. While on IG in 2021, he was the sole carry for his team and he ended up being the focus of so much attention that made it difficult for him to produce. His KDA has gone up over an entire point from Summer 2021 (3.21) to Spring of 2022 (5.02). His flexibility is rewarded and he has more freedom to make plays without having to be the only person making plays.

Value Pick: FunPlus Phoenix ($4,800) The gap between FPX and TES for Monday is similar to the RNG and LNG gap from Sunday morning. TES just hasn’t faced the same level of competition while FPX has faced the majority of top the tier LPL teams. FPX’s losses have been by one game margins, leading to them winning more singular games than TES. They are pretty linear in their playstyles but they will limit mistakes which TES look to jump on in small skirmishes. I doubt FPX wins 2-0, but they should perform well enough to pick up the cheaper price tag.

Value Pick: Gori (FPX: $10,500/$7,000) This will be a pretty slow laning phase which should benefit Gori and FPX. Gori won’t be explosive in the 1v1 versus Knight but he will be present in the very late game teamfight. I wouldn’t slot him as a captain pick but you could be comfortable sliding him into your mid lane role slot.
