PrizePicks Prop Selections
REZ (NiP) - Over 39.5 Kills vs. Entropiq (Maps 1-2) - 10:45 AM ET
- Entropiq’s projected map pick: Overpass
- If Entropiq do pick Overpass, then NiP would likely start on the CT side, which means they would be guaranteed 15 rounds on the more favorable CT side.
- REZ is the eighth highest rated player in the world on CT Overpass in the year 2021 against Top 20 opponents with a 1.17 Rating across 18 maps played. The seven players ahead of him are Jame, Hobbit, device, ZywOo, Ax1Le, YEKINDAR, and sh1ro, so he is clearly in good company.
- REZ has historically dominated CT Overpass. He was the third highest rated player in the world against Top 20 opponents on the CT side of Overpass in 2019 and 2020.
- If Entropiq do pick Overpass, then NiP would likely start on the CT side, which means they would be guaranteed 15 rounds on the more favorable CT side.
- Ninjas in Pyjamas’ projected map pick: Ancient
- REZ has been the highest rated player on his team on Ancient in the past three months with a 1.16 Rating to go along with 0.72 kills per round across nine maps played.
- The map pool looks favorable for REZ, and this could be a competitive series. NiP are a (-175) moneyline favorite, but Entropiq showed better form on the first day of the event and they are certainly capable of keeping this series close. I like the over in this spot regardless of the maps, but Overpass & Ancient would put this pick in great shape.
Ax1Le (Gambit) - Over 40.5 Kills vs. Liquid (Maps 1-2) - 2:00 P.M. ET
- Liquid’s projected map pick: Inferno
- Inferno has been one of Ax1Le’s best maps, and he has a 1.28 Rating with 0.78 kills per round across 12 maps played in the past three months.
- The only player with a higher rating than Ax1Le on Inferno against Top 20 opponents during that time is s1mple.
- In the past six months, Ax1Le is the highest rated player in the world on Inferno against Top 20 opponents.
- Inferno has been one of Ax1Le’s best maps, and he has a 1.28 Rating with 0.78 kills per round across 12 maps played in the past three months.
- Gambit’s projected map pick: Vertigo
- Vertigo has been another excellent map for Ax1Le with a 1.22 Rating and 0.74 kills per round across eight maps played in the past three months.
- Ax1Le is the third highest rated player on Vertigo against Top 20 opponents in the past six months, not too far behind his teammates Hobbit and sh1ro in first and second, respectively.
- Vertigo has been another excellent map for Ax1Le with a 1.22 Rating and 0.74 kills per round across eight maps played in the past three months.
- Ax1Le has had elite stats recently on every map besides Ancient, and Ancient is the permaban for Liquid right now, so the map pool should pretty much look great for him no matter what. Gambit got off to a slow start on Wednesday against TeamOne, while Liquid look like they might be in their best form since assembling this lineup, so we could be in for a tight series here, though Gambit are a (-225) moneyline favorite. 40.5 kills just seems to be too low of a projection for Ax1Le in this spot, so I will gladly take the over.
