PrizePicks Prop Selections
- jkaem (EXTREMUM) - Over 39.5 Kills (Maps 1-2)
I took the over on this same total for jkaem on Monday against Budapest Five and it went under with 37 kills, mainly because his team dominated on Dust2 with a 16-5 win (and maybe also slightly because Gratisfaction basically did not miss a shot and got all of the kills himself with 48 across two maps). EXTREMUM are heavy favorites at around (-500) odds against Sharks on Wednesday, but I think Sharks can compete with them here especially since both teams have similar map pools. Thus, I do not think this series will be as one sided for EXTREMUM as the one with Budapest Five was. As for jkaem, he has been sharp in the past month with a 1.16 Rating and 0.77 kills per round across 17 maps played. Both teams like Vertigo so it is definitely possible that we see it played, and jkaem has been even more impressive on that map with a 1.29 Rating and 0.86 kills per round across 5 maps played in the past month. It does not take much for jkaem to go over this total, and if Sharks can keep it a bit competitive like I think they will, then jkaem should crush.
2. roeJ (Copenhagen Flames) - Over 40.5 Kills (Maps 1-2)
Last time these teams played, Copenhagen Flames picked Ancient and dominated Anonymo, 16-6, and I think we will see that map again since Anonymo will likely prioritize banning Overpass. RoeJ managed 21 kills last time despite there only being 22 rounds played and he has just looked extremely comfortable on Ancient. He has a 1.30 Rating with 0.86 kills per round across five maps played on Ancient so far. If Anonymo did decide to ban Ancient, then Copenhagen Flames could then pick Overpass, which has been another dominant map for roeJ with a 1.35 Rating and 0.86 kills per round across 19 maps played in the last three months. Anonymo will likely pick Mirage, which has not been roeJ’s strongest map recently, but considering his team has faced Fiend & Entropiq three times each in the past month (including a 1-16 loss against Entropiq) and they have a 3-10 record on Mirage in the past month, it is easy to see why he is only averaging 16 kills per map across 13 maps played. RoeJ should have such a strong performance on his team’s map pick that 16 kills on Mirage may be enough for the over, but I believe this will be an above average performance for him on Mirage since Copenhagen Flames beat Anonymo on that map last time.
