PrizePicks Prop Selections
- CRUC1AL (Endpoint) - Over 34.5 Kills (Maps 1-2)
Mezii is the star player for Endpoint, but CRUC1AL will have the AWP in his hands, and he can compete with mezii for top frag on any given day. Endpoint are the underdogs in this series against FURIA at (+145) odds, but they have now beaten SAW and ENCE on their way to the semi-finals of the playoffs of Elisa Invitational Summer 2021, so Endpoint looks to be in good form right now. We can be sure to see both teams motivated here with a spot in the Grand Final on the line, as well as a $50,000 prize for the first place winners of this tournament, so I am expecting a super competitive series given the circumstances. CRUC1AL has been on fire in the past month with a 1.17 Rating and 0.75 kills per round across 34 maps played. He has also had at least 20 kills in 15 of his last 20 maps played. CRUC1AL has surpassed 34.5 kills in the first two maps of seven of his last eight series, with the one under coming in a series against Fiend where Endpoint lost Mirage 16-3, so I really am not worried about him hitting the over here as long as Endpoint wins some rounds. CRUC1AL still managed 33 kills in that series, which goes to show that there is tremendous upside on the over. I think Endpoint can put up a good fight here, and CRUC1AL should smash this total.
- s4 (EC Kyiv) - Over 39.5 Kills (Maps 1-2)
S4 is in a similar situation as CRUC1AL. Byr9 is the highest rated player on EC Kyiv, but s4 is not far behind as the second highest rated player, and he is also the primary AWPer for his team. I really like targeting the over for s4 here since he has consistently been performing well lately and he had a rating greater than one on eight straight maps prior to a loss on Dust2 against bankaPEPSI on Friday. In the past month, s4 has been the undisputed star of his team with a 1.21 Rating and 0.76 kills per round across 22 maps played. This series against FATE is a coinflip in terms of the odds, meaning it should not be very one-sided, and s4 should have plenty of opportunities to frag no matter who wins, though I do think EC Kyiv are the better team and will come out on top. EC Kyiv will likely pick Dust2 which has been one of s4’s strongest maps in the past. He has struggled at times to have impact with the AWP on Inferno, which should be the map pick of FATE on Sunday, though he has faced some tough opponents recently. FATE is currently ranked #146 in the world, so this is clearly an easier match-up for s4 than facing teams like 100PingGods or forZe. We have also seen him put up some monster numbers against bad teams in the past, so I think this is a really favorable spot to target s4’s over.
