PrizePicks Prop Selections
- EliGE (Liquid) - Over 40.5 Kills (Maps 1-2)
EliGE has gotten off to a slow start at IEM Cologne with only a 0.95 Rating through six maps, but I would be surprised if he does not find good form again soon. He finished with a rating greater than one on all three maps against mousesports on Friday, so we did even see him settle in a bit after a poor performance on the first day of the event. We can expect BIG to pick Dust2 if it is not banned by Liquid to start, and Nuke looks like the most solid option for Liquid in this spot. Those two maps would be the same first two maps for Liquid as they had in their series against mousesports, though EliGE only had 36 kills across those two maps. However, Liquid won mousesports’ map pick of Nuke with ease, 16-9, and EliGE finished with the second highest ADR on the server for that map, yet he tied for the least amount of kills on his team. He had the most assists on the server with eight, so he certainly came close to having a few more kills, and he would have had a chance of even more if mousesports won more than two rounds on their CT side. EliGE has been strong on Nuke recently, and he finished with a total of 25, 26, 22, and 21 kills his previous four times playing the map. In the past three months, EliGE has a 1.15 Rating with 0.76 kills per round on Nuke across six maps played. He had 21 kills on Dust2 against mousesports despite his team losing, so he is capable of putting up some stats on that map even if BIG were to win. Both of these teams like to ban Ancient, so it is possible that they decide to float Ancient and try to ban away one of their opponent’s favorite maps, but I still think Dust2 and Nuke are most likely here. Regardless, EliGE has been the highest rated player on his team in the past three months with a 1.12 Rating, and he is capable of having a monster performance on any map.
- XANTARES (BIG) - Over 39.5 Kills (Maps 1-2)
I do not typically take two plays from the same series, but I like pairing the over for XANTARES with EliGE here because I think this match-up should be really competitive. The odds have this series as a coinflip, and I think we see each team take a map. XANTARES has been the highest rated player on BIG in the past three months with a 1.12 Rating, and he is capable of carrying his team no matter which maps that we see. Dust2 has been a strong map for him with a 1.21 Rating and 0.76 kills per round in the past three months. XANTARES went on a 16 map streak of having a rating greater than one on Dust2 that started in April and did not end until June, so he has been incredibly consistent on that map. He has had mixed results on Nuke as we have seen him change around positions on the CT side in recent months, but the last time we saw him on that map was when he had 24 kills against mousesports. Both of these teams are facing elimination from the tournament, so we can expect to see them fight hard until the very end, which could lead to a tight series. I have a lot of confidence that XANTARES and EliGE can both hit their overs as long as this does not stay one-sided.
