PrizePicks Prop Selections

deko (1WIN) - Under 40.5 Kills vs. Copenhagen Flames (Maps 1-2)

40.5 kills is a fair projection for deko in some spots because of his upside with the AWP in his hands, but that number just seems too high against CPH Flames. I could see this being a quick 2-0 sweep for Copenhagen Flames, with them at least winning their map pick pretty easily. CPH Flames did sweep 2-0 last time (16-9 Mirage / 16-8 Overpass) and they will be looking for a similar result again, but Ravenlot was on trial at the time for 1WIN, and glowing had not even joined the team yet, so things look a little different this time around. Deko had 32 kills across two maps in that series.

1WIN permaban Inferno, which leaves Overpass open as CPH Flame’s map pick. 1WIN have been inconsistent on Overpass, while it is the most played map for the Danes, as well as the map with their highest win percentage in the entire pool. I could see this map being a quick stomping from the Flames, maybe 16-8 like last time, which would be a favorable scenario for deko’s under. Deko has also struggled to find impact with the AWP on Overpass at times, and it is one of his worst maps with a 1.07 Rating and 0.71 Kills Per Round in the past three months. As for 1WIN, Nuke is their most played map and would make sense as their map pick considering CPH Flames have lost on that map their past four times played.  Copenhagen had won Nuke seven times in a row prior to that, and I think that they are strong enough to steal that map from 1WIN, especially considering the fact that they would start on the more favorable CT side. Mirage has been the only weakness for CPH Flames in their map pool outside of their permaban, Dust2, but Mirage is also weak for 1WIN, so they should be unable to punish their Danish opponents in that sense. I think that CPH Flames are clearly the better team, and it would be really difficult for deko to reach 41 kills across two maps in a losing effort, so the under is very appealing here.

FL1T (forZe) - Over 40.5 Kills vs. Complexity (Maps 1-2)

Complexity released RUSH and added es3tag during the player break, plus k0nfig just had wrist surgery and NaToSaphiX is standing in for him for this event, so the team is not at full strength, which should be favorable for forZe as a slight underdog. This could end up being a really competitive series, and forZe should be able to hold their own, especially considering they beat Complexity earlier in the year with their full roster. FL1T only had 58 kills in 81 rounds across three maps in that series, but the first two maps were really one-sided, and a tighter series on Saturday should boost his total number of kills.

Overpass makes sense as the map pick of forZe, and FL1T has dominated that map with a 1.24 Rating and 0.79 Kills Per Round in the past three months. Mirage has been Complexity’s favorite map in the past, and FL1T has a 1.26 Rating with 0.82 Kills Per Round on Nuke during that time. However, I think that there is a good chance that Complexity switch it up in this spot and go for something like Nuke, which has not been FL1T’s top map, but he has still had 22+ kills in the past three times played. Either way, the map pool should set up nicely for FL1T, all things considered. I think that this is an excellent spot for FL1T to get a ton of frags against a team that is not at their strongest, and he should easily exceed the 40.5 projection if the first two maps can stay close.
