Prediction/Narrative: Vitality wins 2-0.

Vitality permaban Ancient, which has been Entropiq’s best map in the past month. The rest of Vitality’s map pool is so deep that the French should have a clear edge over Entropiq on any other map. Entropiq’s best chance may be on a map like Dust2, but Vitality have won four in a row on that map and keep managing to record wins despite some ugly rounds mixed in. ZywOo also seems to be locked in after Monday’s match-up against Astralis where he finished with a 1.51 Rating and 1.78 K/D ratio across three maps played, and Vitality are usually unstoppable when he plays this well. Entropiq started off this stage with a 2-0 start, but I expect them to be eliminated here since Vitality are playing at an elite level right now.

These rosters faced last week during the Challengers Stage and FaZe won 2-0 (Mirage 16-14 / Ancient 16-6). Twistzz was the top performer with 48 kills and a 1.43 Rating across two maps played. 

Prediction/Narrative: VP wins 2-1.

FaZe just won this match-up last week, but VP have beaten FaZe in the past, and I think they are a live underdog in this rematch. Virtus.pro have not yet proven themselves on Ancient after suffering four straight losses. FaZe beat them 16-6 in the Challengers Stage, and we just saw MOUZ crush them 16-9 on Monday, so FaZe would have to be considered the favorite on that map if we see it again, which is likely since VP permaban Nuke. Still, I think that VP have some maps that they can compete on, especially Inferno, and I would be really surprised to see FaZe sweep again. VP seems to be a bit of a sleeping giant right now and I think they are capable of pulling the upset here even though FL1T is still new to their roster. FaZe have been good on LAN, but I see this match basically as a coinflip, so I really like VP at these odds/DK prices.

Prediction/Narrative: NiP wins 2-1.

I wouldn’t call this an ‘easy match-up’ for the Ninjas, but they did get a pretty favorable draw here all things considered. Copenhagen Flames have proven that they can put up a good fight against the top teams in the world, but NiP are still ranked number two in the world, and this Major is taking place in Sweden, which is NiP's home country, giving them a distinct advantage. Inferno should be an easy win for NiP considering they beat Astralis 16-1 on that map earlier in the week, meanwhile CPH Flames lost 2-16 on Inferno to Fiend earlier in October. Gambit did beat NiP 16-6 on Inferno on Monday, but Gambit’s utility protocols on that map seem to be far better than that of Copenhagen Flames. I do think that Copenhagen Flames have a shot of at least winning a map, and Mirage might be their best option considering NiP have struggled on it recently, and device never used to play it with Astralis since it was their permaban. The decider map should end up as a map that both teams are solid on, like Ancient, Nuke or maybe even Overpass. Ultimately, I give NiP an edge to win the series, but I do think that this could be a tight one.
