H2H Data:
- These rosters have never faced each other.
Prediction/Narrative: NiP wins 2-1.
Both of these teams struggled in their opening match of the event, but Complexity statistically looked worse with a 0.65 Team Rating, which puts them as the second worst team at the tournament so far. Also, NiP had to face #15 BIG, while Complexity had to face #24 MIBR, and you could argue that BIG is a much tougher match-up given the fact that those teams face each other on this slate and BIG is a (-430) moneyline favorite. NiP are playing without their IGL, hampus, but we have seen them play with ztr in the past, and their system seems to be good enough that replacing a player doesn’t affect them all too much. Beyond that, Complexity just look awful. They have won only a single map across six maps played in the past month, and this team has not been able to find any consistency. I think NiP should win here, but there are enough question marks surrounding NiP since hampus did not travel with the team, so this series could end up closer than expected.
- NiP K/D Leaders past three months: REZ 1.16 | Brollan 1.10 | Plopski 1.02
- Brollan leads NiP with 0.15 opening kills per round across 24 maps played in the past three months.

Moneyline Odds: Liquid (-115) | Imperial (-105)
Map Handicap: Liquid -1.5 (+245) | Imperial +1.5 (-310)

H2H Data:
- These rosters faced earlier in the month in a best-of-one at PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Challengers Stage and Imperial won 16-10 on Inferno. Fer led the server with 27 kills and a 1.78 Rating.
Prediction/Narrative: Imperial wins 2-1.
Through the first day of this event, Liquid find themselves as the lowest-rated team with a 0.56 Team Rating across one map played. Vertigo has been one of Liquid’s strongest maps in recent months, but they only managed six rounds against Cloud9 on Monday. As for Imperial, they faced FURIA in a Brazilian derby and lost. However, they managed nine rounds and a more respectable 0.89 Team Rating, and they look to be in better form than Liquid at the moment. Imperial have a fairly strong map pool considering they are still undefeated on Overpass, and they have been elite on their most played map, Inferno, with a 12-4 W/L record across 16 maps played in the past three months. Imperial will also ban Ancient to start, which takes away one of Liquid’s stronger maps. Liquid have a chance to win on Mirage or Vertigo, but the rest of the map pool seems to favor Imperial, and I could even see Imperial winning on Mirage. I think Imperial should be the favorite in this series, so I am happy to back them on Draftkings at cheaper pricing.

H2H Data:
- These rosters have never faced each other.
Prediction/Narrative: BIG wins 2-0.
Both of these teams looked sharp in their opening match-ups, though BIG faced the more difficult opponent in NiP. BIT was a solid stand-in for MIBR on Monday, but let’s not forget that he is only a coach, and a high level performance should not be expected from him once again. BIG now have a 20-10 W/L record across 30 maps played with their lineup, and they have a win rate of at least 60% on Mirage, Ancient, Nuke, Dust2, and Overpass. MIBR’s most played map in the past three months has been Dust2, which has been BIG’s favorite map for a long time. I just don’t see much of opening in the map pool here for MIBR, and I expect BIG to sweep against a team playing with a stand-in.
- BIG K/D Leaders past three months: syrsoN 1.29 | faveN 1.14 | tabseN 1.07 | Krimbo 1.07
