MOUZ removes Overpass

Ninjas in Pyjamas removes Dust2

MOUZ picks Nuke

Ninjas in Pyjamas picks Ancient

MOUZ removes Mirage

Ninjas in Pyjamas removes Inferno

Vertigo is left over

Prediction/Narrative: NiP wins 2-0.

Ninjas in Pyjamas are the highest-rated team in Group A through two days of ESL Pro League S15 with a 1.29 Team Rating. Their individuals are all performing at a high level with REZ as the highest-rated player, Plopski the third-highest rated player, and hampus the fifth-highest rated player in Group A. They outplayed MOUZ last time, and JDC top fragged for MOUZ as a stand-in, so it’s unclear if having Bymas back is even much of an upgrade. MOUZ have still only played four maps total with their lineup, meanwhile, NiP have played 43 maps total with phzy & es3tag, and have beaten opponents such as Gambit, NAVI, and G2. I think that MOUZ may decide to pick Nuke this time to boost their odds of winning, but Nuke is NiP’s most played map with their current lineup, and I think NiP are fully capable of sweeping here based on the form that they have shown at this event. On Draftkings, a three-stack from NiP is my preferred play.

  • On Nuke, hampus leads NiP with a 1.06 Rating, while Plopski leads with a 1.10 K/D ratio across five maps played in 2022.
  • On Ancient, REZ leads NiP with a 1.09 Rating and 1.16 K/D ratio across six maps played in 2022.
  • On Vertigo, REZ leads NiP with a 1.32 Rating and 1.31 K/D ratio across six maps played in 2022.

Map Projections:

Fnatic removes Dust2

G2 removes Overpass

Fnatic picks Inferno

G2 picks Mirage

Fnatic removes Nuke

G2 removes Vertigo

Ancient is left over

Prediction/Narrative: G2 wins 2-0.

With Aleksib out of the lineup, G2 have shown that they are vulnerable with their 0-2 loss against MOUZ on Thursday. The burden of filling in as IGL as seem to take away from NiKo’s fragging ability based on his 0.98 Rating at this event compared to his 1.27 Rating in the past three months. Still, they are the second-highest rated team in Group A with a 1.10 team rating across four maps played, while Fnatic have struggled with a 0.98 team rating across five maps. Fnatic even dropped a map against Looking For Org, meanwhile G2 swept the Oceanic squad. G2 might be “high-level scrimming” with AMANEK in the lineup, but they shouldn’t have any concerns against a Fnatic roster that includes two Academy players (Peppzor & Banjo) and a stand-in (poizon). G2 could decide to punish pick against an inexperienced Fnatic roster, but they should have a huge advantage even if they don’t. This should be a fairly easy sweep, so a G2 three-stack is my preferred play on Draftkings. Perhaps NiKo is due for a bounce back, and he used to top frag when he was the IGL of FaZe, but for now it might be best to look elsewhere since he has struggled and is still the most expensive player on the slate.

  • On Inferno, NiKo leads G2 with a 1.24 Rating and a 1.29 K/D ratio across nine maps played in 2022.
  • On Mirage, huNter- leads G2 with a 1.21 Rating, while he & m0NESY are tied with a 1.17 K/D ratio across nine maps played in 2022.
  • On Ancient, NiKo leads G2 with a 1.57 Rating and a 1.54 K/D ratio across three maps played in 2022.
