Vitality (World rank: #10) vs. paiN (World rank: #25) – 5:00 A.M. ET

Moneyline Odds: Vitality (-815) | paiN (+565)

Map Handicap: Vitality -1.5 (-190) | paiN +1.5 (+200)

  • This is a best-of-three series on LAN for BLAST Premier Spring Final 2022 – Group A Elimination Match. Winning team advances to playoff quarter-finals.
  • Vitality - Rating at event: ZywOo 1.16 | misutaaa  0.98 | dupreeh 0.94 | Magisk 0.79 | apEX 0.78
  • Vitality - Rating past three months: ZywOo 1.21 | Magisk 1.07 | dupreeh 1.03 | misutaaa 0.91 | apEX  0.91
  • paiN - Rating at event: nython 0.90 | hardzao  0.80 | PKL 0.74 |
  • paiN - Rating past three months: biguzera 1.18 | nython 1.16 | hardzao  1.14 | NEKIZ 1.12 | PKL 1.05

H2H Data:

  • These rosters have never faced each other.

Prediction/Narrative: Vitality wins 2-0.

Vitality got reverse swept by G2 on Wednesday, but they should be primed for a bounce back with this match-up against paiN. Vitality are the biggest favorites on the slate, which makes sense considering paiN only managed to win 13 rounds across two maps against FaZe to open this event. PaiN are currently the lowest-rated team at the event with a 0.78 Team Rating, and they haven’t proven that they can win against European opponents. I expect Vitality to earn their way into the playoffs with a dominant win here.

  • ZywOo leads Vitality at this event with a 1.23 K/D ratio.
  • ZywOo & misutaaa lead Vitality with 0.12 opening kills per round across three maps played at this event.

Favorite Draftkings Plays (In order of priority):

ZywOo ($10,400) | misutaaa ($6,400) | apEX ($7,200) | dupreeh ($8,200) | Magisk ($9,400)

Other Plays To Consider:

nython ($5,800)

FaZe (World rank: #1) vs. G2 (World rank: #8) – 8:00 A.M. ET

Moneyline Odds: FaZe (-200) | G2 (+165)

Map Handicap: FaZe -1.5 (+160) | G2 +1.5 (-195)

  • This is a best-of-three series on LAN for BLAST Premier Spring Final 2022 – Group A Winners’ Match. Winning team advances to playoff semi-finals, losing team goes to quarter-finals.
  • FaZe - Rating at event: broky 1.64 | rain 1.46 | ropz 1.28 | karrigan 1.15 | Twistzz 1.05
  • FaZe - Rating past three months: broky 1.15 | ropz 1.15 | rain  1.13 | Twistzz 1.12 | karrigan 0.95
  • G2 - Rating at event: NiKo 1.39 | m0NESY 1.26 | huNter- 1.15 | JACKZ 1.10 | Aleksib 0.64
  • G2 - Rating past three months: NiKo 1.24 | m0NESY  1.12 | huNter- 1.10 | JACKZ 0.94 | Aleksib 0.92

H2H Data:

  • These rosters have never faced each other. Jks was standing in for rain when the teams last met in February at IEM Katowice 2022 and FaZe won that best-of-five grand final 3-0 (19-15 Inferno / 31-27 Mirage / 16-14 Dust2). Despite the loss, huNter- led the server with 113 kills and a 1.27 Rating.

Prediction/Narrative:FaZe wins 2-1.

FaZe handled their opening match-up against paiN with ease, which makes them the highest-rated team through day one of the event with a 1.32 Team Rating. G2 also performed well against Vitality, and they are currently the second highest-rated team so far with a 1.11 Team Rating. Thus, both teams look to be in good form at this tournament, and we also had a really tight series when we saw these teams last played. Sure, FaZe did sweep that best-of-five with jks, but jks is an excellent stand-in, and the maps were all very close with two going to overtime and the other going 30 rounds. I give FaZe an edge based on the strength of their map pool, but it wouldn’t surprise me if this series was once again back-and-forth. I’ll take the number one team in the world, FaZe, in a three-maps.

  • FaZe K/D Leaders at event: broky 2.17 | ropz 1.48 | rain 1.43 | karrigan 1.07
  • rain leads FaZe with 0.31 opening kills per round across two maps played at this event.

Favorite Draftkings Plays (In order of priority):

ropz ($8,400) | broky ($9,200) | rain ($7,400) | NiKo ($7,600) | huNter- ($6,200) | Twistzz ($6,600)

Other Plays To Consider:

m0NESY ($6,800) | karrigan ($5,600)

NAVI (World rank: #3) vs. BIG (World rank: #11) – 11:00 A.M. ET

Moneyline Odds: NAVI (-195) | BIG (+155)

Map Handicap: NAVI -1.5 (+150) | BIG +1.5 (-190)

  • This is a best-of-three series on LAN for BLAST Premier Spring Final 2022 – Group B Elimination Match. Winning team advances to playoff quarter-finals.
  • NAVI - Rating at event: b1t 1.13 | electronic  1.10 | s1mple 1.03 | sdy 0.98 | Perfecto 0.97
  • NAVI - Rating past three months: s1mple 1.32 | b1t  1.18 | electronic 1.11 | Perfecto 1.06 | sdy 1.05
  • BIG - Rating at event: tabseN 1.38 | tiziaN 1.14 | syrsoN 1.11 | faveN 0.88 | Krimbo 0.75
  • BIG - Rating past three months: syrsoN 1.13 | tabseN 1.12 | faveN 1.07 | Krimbo 1.01 | tiziaN 0.92

H2H Data:

  • These rosters have never faced each other. Boombl4 was still on the NAVI roster instead of sdy when these teams last met in May at PGL Major Antwerp 2022. NAVI won that best-of-one 16-8 on Ancient and b1t was the highest-rated player with a 1.49 Rating.

Prediction/Narrative: NAVI wins 2-0.

NAVI struggled in their first match since parting ways with Boombl4, but I think OG were also just playing really well in that series. Sdy seems to be a fine stand-in and electronic played decent as IGL, but NAVI’s biggest issue was that s1mple had a rare lackluster performance. As for BIG, they had a solid showing against ENCE, but tiziaN was their second highest-rated player, and I don’t think that we can expect that level of performance to continue from him considering he is their lowest-rated player in the past three months. The rosters for these teams have changed over the years, but NAVI have still won four of the last five match-ups going back to September 2020, and I think they own this match-up. BIG are also without their coach, gob b, for this event, which doesn’t help their case. I expect NAVI to bounce back here and earn their way into the playoffs, and I sweep is definitely in the cards given the strength of their map pool.

  • NAVI K/D Leaders at this event: electronic 1.07 | b1t 1.02 | sdy 1.00
  • electronic leads NAVI with 0.19 opening kills per round across three maps played at this event.

Favorite Draftkings Plays (In order of priority):

b1t ($8,600) | s1mple ($9,600) | sdy ($5,800) | Perfecto ($6,800) | electronic ($7,600)

Other Plays To Consider:

tabseN ($6,600) | syrsoN ($7,400)

ENCE (World rank: #2) vs. OG (World rank: #24) – 2:00 P.M. ET

Moneyline Odds: ENCE (-325) | OG (+255)

Map Handicap: ENCE -1.5 (+105) | OG +1.5 (-125)

  • This is a best-of-three series on LAN for BLAST Premier Spring Final 2022 – Group B Winners’ Match. Winning team advances to playoff semi-finals, losing team goes to quarter-finals.
  • ENCE - Rating at event: Maden 1.11 | Spinx 1.06 | Snappi 1.01 | hades 1.01 | dycha 0.98
  • ENCE - Rating past three months: Spinx 1.16 | dycha  1.09 | hades 1.07 | Maden 1.04 | Snappi 0.98
  • OG - Rating at event: NEOFRAG 1.13 | nexa 1.11 | degster 1.10 | flameZ 1.07 | F1KU 0.84
  • OG - Rating past three months: degster  1.22 | NEOFRAG 1.14 | F1KU 1.09 | flameZ 1.05 | nexa  1.01

H2H Data:

  • These rosters have never faced each other.

Prediction/Narrative: OG wins 2-1.

OG had the more difficult match-up on paper for the first day of this event having to face #3 NAVI compared to #11 BIG for ENCE, but OG still ended up as the higher-rated team with a 1.05 Team Rating compared to 1.03 for ENCE. We know that ENCE are solid, but OG are a wildcard team with a ton of firepower, and their roster seems capable of competing with anybody. Having a stand-in is never ideal, but degster is perhaps the best player on OG now, so he is as good of a stand-in as they could have possibly asked for. OG shutdown the best player in the world, s1mple, on Wednesday, and I think they will give the #2 ranked team a run for their money. This OG roster seems way underrated to me right now, so I am happy to ride with them as an underdog in a winnable series.

  • OG K/D Leaders at event: degster 1.17 | NEOFRAG 1.15 | nexa 1.10
  • flameZ leads OG with 0.14 opening kills per round across three maps played at this event.

Favorite Draftkings Plays (In order of priority):

degster ($7,000) | nexa ($4,200) | NEOFRAG ($6,400) | Spinx ($9,800) | F1KU ($5,600) | flameZ ($5,000) | dycha ($8,800)

Other Plays To Consider:

hades ($7,800) | Maden ($7,000)
