Prediction/Narrative: MAD Lions win 2-0.

This should be an easy win for MAD Lions on paper. Their current lineup seems to be in the best form that we have seen from them so far, sweeping three series in a row against Savage, SKADE, and Into the Breach. MAD Lions started this event with two losses, but they won their last series against Savage convincingly with a 16-4 win on Nuke. In the past three months, they have a win rate less than 50% on three maps: Nuke, Mirage, and Overpass. However, they have picked up two convincing wins on both Nuke & Mirage recently, and Overpass is one of DREAM’s least played maps. I expect MAD Lions to deliver a strong performance in this spot since they are facing elimination. I don’t think that DREAM will be able to take a map, but Inferno would likely be their best option to keep things competitive. Still, in that case MAD Lions would start on the CT side where they have a 61.8% CT round win rate in the past three months, so momentum would favor MAD Lions. I think MAD Lions should be heavy favorites on any map that is played, so this should be a 2-0 sweep. We haven’t seen Buzz play at this event, and he has been on the MAD Lions bench for the past few weeks, so he should not be considered on Draftkings.

Prediction/Narrative: MASONIC wins 2-0.

Young Ninjas have used a different lineup in all three series that they have played at this event, and they have seemingly gotten worse and worse as a team. The roster that they are current using that includes adamb, maxster and 7EMPORARY did win the only series that they have played so far, but that was against a much weaker team - #114 ranked DREAM. We have only seen them play three maps with this group of five on the server, and I’m not all too convinced that they can beat MASONIC with the way things currently stand. MASONIC have been solid at this event with sweeps against Lilmix & Astralis Talent, and they lost a really close series with 777, who are currently in first place. MASONIC have an impressive 22-14 W/L record across 36 maps played with their lineup, and they have at least a 60% win rate on Nuke, Dust2, Vertigo and Overpass in the past three months. MASONIC are the third highest-rated team at the event with a 1.08 Team Rating across seven maps, and all five of their players have at least a 1.03 Rating during that time. This would maybe be a close series in theory if Young Ninjas were playing with LNZ & phzy, but I can’t see them winning here with their roster shuffling around so much. MASONIC have been playing well and they should be able to sweep here, but Young Ninjas could maybe take a single map like Inferno. Either way, MASONIC have to be the main focus here as I expect them to continue their good form with a win in this spot. We haven’t seen blaq play at this event, and he has been on the MASONIC bench for the past few weeks, so he should not be considered on Draftkings.
