H2H Data:
These rosters have never faced each other.
Prediction: NAVI wins 2-1.
Fnatic are the highest-rated team at ESL Pro League Season 16 through day one after they upset Ninjas in Pyjamas with a 2-0 sweep. Fnatic now have a 9-1 W/L record across 10 maps played since bringing in FASHR, and their firepower is overwhelming. However, they now have to face the number one team in the world, NAVI, who have been solid with a 23-8 W/L record across 31 maps played since adding sdy. NAVI have at least a 50% win rate on every map in the pool besides their permaban, Vertigo, and they should be ready for whatever Fnatic throws at them. I expect NAVI to get the win here, but Fnatic are red hot and this is not the most important spot on the calendar for NAVI, so I don’t want to completely ignore the possibility of Fnatic hanging around. Both teams look good so far at this event, and I think we could see a competitive series especially given the form that Fnatic showed on Wednesday.
- s1mple leads NAVI with 0.14 opening kills per round, while b1t leads with 24.8% opening duel attempts across 31 maps played.

Vitality (World rank: #6) vs. Ninjas in Pyjamas (World rank: #7) – 1:30 P.M. ET
Moneyline Odds: Vitality (-175) | Ninjas in Pyjamas (+145)
Map Handicap: Vitality -1.5 (+175) | Ninjas in Pyjamas +1.5 (-215)

Vitality - Rating at event: ZywOo 1.61 | apEX 1.37 | Spinx 1.15 | Magisk 1.11 | dupreeh 0.98

Ninjas in Pyjamas - Rating past three months: Brollan 1.08 | REZ 1.07 | hampus 1.02 | es3tag 0.98 | Plopski 0.95
H2H Data:
These rosters faced earlier in the month at BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022 and Vitality won 16-12 on Inferno. ZywOo led the way with 30 kills and a 1.53 Rating.
Prediction: NiP wins 2-1.
I think these teams are evenly matched and people might overreact to what happened on Wednesday. Vitality are coming off a 2-0 victory, but they faced Endpoint, who are the lowest-ranked team in the group and the third lowest-ranked team at the entire event. Meanwhile, NiP certainly performed poorly in their match-up against Fnatic, but Fnatic have been on fire with a 9-1 W/L record across 10 maps played. These recent results are obviously relevant, but I think we would be looking at this match-up as a coinflip if it weren’t for that context. Vitality have still only played 13 maps since adding Spinx, and they looked shaky at times against Endpoint, losing six rounds in a row before finally closing them out on Vertigo. NiP have proven that they can compete against elite teams with this lineup, taking down ENCE, Cloud9, Heroic, and G2, and they have also won maps against NAVI and FaZe, so I do think they have the ability to beat Vitality in this spot. My favorite play is to take the discount with NiP on Draftkings, though ZywOo should always be in consideration on any slate.
- Brollan leads NiP with 0.14 opening kills per round and 28.4% opening duel attempts across 23 maps played in the past three months.
