Moneyline Odds: BIG (-335) | Sangal (+260)

Map Handicap: BIG -1.5 (-105) | Sangal +1.5 (-115)

This is an online best-of-three series for the quarter-finals of BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022 Europe

BIG - Rating at event: N/A

BIG - Rating past three months: s1n 1.18 | tabseN 1.15 | syrsoN 1.10 | Krimbo 0.96 | k1to 0.95

Sangal - Rating at event: N/A

Sangal - Rating past three months: Soulfly 1.18 | kyuubii 1.15 | phzy 1.10 | kory 1.08 | scrunK 0.97

H2H Data:

These rosters faced earlier this month at IEM Road to Rio 2022 Europe RMR B and BIG won 16-3 in a best-of-one on Mirage. TabseN led the server with 27 kills and a 2.19 Rating.

Prediction: BIG wins 2-0.

BIG are still playing with s1n in their lineup instead of faveN at this event, but that shouldn’t be a problem for them against Sangal. (**faveN isn’t playing, don’t play him on Draftkings). The first map that BIG played with this lineup was against Sangal and they beat them 16-3, including a 14-1 dominant CT half on Mirage. BIG were then able to qualify for the IEM Rio Major with wins against Vitality and K23, plus they played close maps against ENCE and Heroic along the way. Overall, BIG look solid with s1n on the server and they appear to be close to full strength despite the lineup change. Sangal added phzy on loan from Young Ninjas back in August, and the team has managed a 39-19 W/L record across 58 maps played since. Sangal have done well in tier two tournaments, but we have seen them struggle against elite teams. Sangal lost 4-16 to OG and 6-16 to Heroic, plus they lost 3-16 to BIG, so they have been outclassed at this level. We can expect to see BIG ban Ancient, which is Sangal’s most played map. Sangal should ban Nuke, which takes away a map that BIG have struggled on as of late. Overall, I just don’t see much of an opening here for Sangal, and I think BIG should be able to win 2-0. One key factor for me is the fact that this is online, which is usually when syrsoN pops off the most. I expect syrsoN to take over here and BIG should come out on top. A BIG stack is my preferred option on Draftkings, and syrsoN is my favorite play.

  • syrsoN leads this BIG lineup with a 1.32 K/D ratio across nine maps played.
  • k1to leads with 0.14 opening kills per round and 27.5% opening duel attempts during that time.

Favorite Draftkings Plays (In order of priority):

syrsoN ($8,800) | k1to ($6,200) | tabseN ($10,000) | Krimbo ($7,400) | phzy ($5,200)

Heroic (World rank: #9) vs. ECSTATIC (World rank: #49) - 1:30 P.M. ET

Moneyline Odds: Heroic (-865) | ECSTATIC (+575)

Map Handicap: Heroic -1.5 (-205) | ECSTATIC +1.5 (+165)

This is an online best-of-three series for the quarter-finals of BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022 Europe

Heroic - Rating at event: N/A

Heroic - Rating past three months: stavn 1.13 | cadiaN 1.12 | TeSeS 1.09 | sjuush 1.09 | jabbi 1.01

ECSTATIC - Rating at event: N/A

ECSTATIC - Rating past three months: Cabbi 1.04 | kraghen 1.01 | maNkz 1.00 | brzer 0.97 | Queenix 0.94

H2H Data:

These rosters have never faced each other.

Prediction: Heroic wins 2-0.

Earlier this month, Heroic earned themselves a Legend spot at IEM Rio Major 2022, and they seem to be playing their best Counter-Strike since adding jabbi. Heroic have won four series in a row, including a best-of-three against number one ranked Vitality, and at the end of September, they beat NAVI on Inferno in a close best-of-three loss. Thus, Heroic have proven themselves against the top teams in the world, which is why they are massive favorites against a weak ECSTATIC lineup. ECSTATIC have a 26-30 W/L record across 56 maps played, and they have lost eight of their last ten series played. There are some decent players on ECSTATIC, but as a team they have struggled against tier two competition, so there is no reason to think they will beat Heroic here. We can expect to see Heroic ban Dust2, which is ECSTATIC’s most played map. The rest of the map pool should be in the favor of Heroic, plus Heroic have a history of performing well online, so I just don’t see an opening for ECSTATIC here. A Heroic stack is my preferred option, but brzer and Cabbi are cheap enough that I’d maybe consider punting on them.

  • In the past three months, cadiaN leads Heroic with a 1.17 K/D ratio.
  • cadiaN leads with 0.12 opening kills per round, while stavn leads with 20.6% opening duel attempts during that time.

Favorite Draftkings Plays (In order of priority):

stavn ($10,400) | cadiaN ($9,600) | TeSeS ($7,600) | sjuush ($8,400) | jabbi ($6,600) | brzer ($4,200) | Cabbi ($6,400)

MIBR (World rank: #27) vs. TeamOne (World rank: #32) - 3:30 P.M. ET

Moneyline Odds: MIBR (-195) | TeamOne (+155)

Map Handicap: MIBR -1.5 (+145) | TeamOne +1.5 (-180)

This is an online best-of-three series for the quarter-finals of BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022 North America

MIBR - Rating at event: N/A

MIBR - Rating past three months: HEN1 1.17 | JOTA 1.13 | exit 1.12 | brnz4n 1.12 | Tuurtle 1.05

TeamOne - Rating at event: N/A

TeamOne - Rating past three months: pesadelo 1.17 | malbsMd 1.16 | Maluk3 1.10 | iDk 1.10 | trk 1.09

H2H Data:

These rosters faced in September at ESL Challenger League Season 42 North America and MIBR won 2-0 (16-7 Ancient / 16-9 Nuke). Tuurtle topped the leaderboards with 44 kills, while exit led the way with a 1.56 Rating across two maps played.

Prediction: MIBR wins 2-1.

MIBR looked like the clear better team when these lineups faced last month, but I’m not so sure that it will be so simple this time around. MalbsMd is typically a star player for TeamOne, but he had an off day last time against MIBR, finishing bottom of the server with 20 Kills and a 0.61 Rating across two maps. I just don’t see a player as talented as malbsMd repeating that type of performance. Plus, these are two Brazilian teams, and anything can happen in a Brazilian derby. MIBR have a 37-20 W/L record across 57 maps played, and they typically do pretty well against opponents from this region. TeamOne have also found success with a 54-23 W/L record across 77 maps played, so both teams have been strong. I also think the map pool is up in the air here as both teams have a deep map pool on paper. I’m picking MIBR to win here based on how they looked last time against TeamOne, but it would not surprise me if this is a sloppy, back-and-forth series. The pricing on Draftkings makes me lean towards TeamOne, but I’d still feel much more comfortable playing someone like HEN1 as MIBR are my choice to win.

  • In the past three months, HEN1 leads MIBR with a 1.24 K/D ratio across 57 maps played.
  • brnz4n leads with 0.14 opening kills per round and 27.8% opening duel attempts during that time.

Favorite Draftkings Plays (In order of priority):

HEN1 ($9,200) | brnz4n ($8,000) | JOTA ($8,600) | malbsMd ($7,800) | Tuurtle ($5,400) | exit ($6,800) | Maluk3 ($5,000) | pesadelo ($7,200)
