Who's ready for another Saturday EPL DFS slate? You can build DFS soccer lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel for the English Premier League matches this weekend. How much should our perception of the 20 Premier League teams change after one week? On the one hand, it was our first opportunity to see how new players and new teams perform in real games. On the other hand, we had a pretty good idea who most of these teams were heading into the season and I wouldn’t want to overreact to just one game. For the most part, I’m believing what I saw in Week 1. I think Fulham and Bournemouth will both be competitive, at the very least and I might pick them both to avoid relegation if I had to choose today. I think my preseason fears about Erling Haaland were probably overblown. However, his first game with Manchester City did give me cause for concern regarding Kevin De Bruyne in daily fantasy soccer lineups.

For Saturday’s EPL DFS slate, I think we are going to get most of our value from teams like Fulham and Southampton. Both squads did well (at least for fantasy soccer) in tough Week 1 matchups and now have much easier matchups in Week 2. I’m also going to keep the faith with some players who I liked in the preseason but were quiet in Week 1. If we don’t play them this week and they deliver, they will likely be much more expensive in Gameweek 3. Now let's get to the EPL DFS top plays for Saturday's daily fantasy soccer contests.

EPL DFS Top Goalkeepers

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Marek RodakFULWOL4500-1.769-2.00
Only the three relegated sides scored fewer goals or allowed more clean sheets than Wolves last season. With Raul Jimenezl likely out again, Wolves could continue to struggle to score. Rodak has a chance to deliver great value in tournaments and after Wolves allowed five saves last week, I will consider him for cash games as well.
EdersonMCIBOU590012.681520.00
Ederson is a no-brainer on DraftKings, where he costs just $100 more than Ramsdale. The price difference is much greater on FanDuel, but I would still try to pay up for Ederson. He is safer for the win and is more likely to keep a clean sheet.
Illan MeslierLEESOU440013.28919.50
Only five teams allowed more saves than Southampton last season and no team had more saves than Leeds. Meslier picked up five saves last week and while there may be better GPP targets, Meslier looks like the safest goal keeper on the slate.

EPL DFS Top Forwards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Gabriel JesusARSLEI90002.9192.60
For those who play FPL in addition to DFS, this is a great chance to play Jesus at less than 70 percent ownership. He was quiet at Crystal Palace but Leicester allowed more goals last season and should be a better matchup. Jesus would also benefit from a more balanced attack, as most of Arsenal's damage against Palace was down the left.
Morgan Gibbs-WhiteWOLFUL66007.241313.20
If Wolverhampton is going to generate a sustained attack this season, it will almost certainly be thanks in large part to the continued development of Morgan Gibbs-White. Gibbs-White split free kicks with Pedro Neto and finished with five crosses, two shots and one chance created at Leeds. Gibbs-White isn't on Neto's level yet but he is much cheaper and he is a forward on DK.
Bobby De Cordova-ReidFULWOL44006.661411.90
Apparently I am just going to play everyone in Saturday's slate with a hyphen in their name. De Cordova-Reid had four crosses, a chance created and a shot on goal against Liverpool and while Wolverhampton was very good defensively last season, this should be a much better matchup for him. He is playable on FD but his forward-eligibility and ability to hit crosses make him a great play on DraftKings.

EPL DFS Top Midfielders

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Jack GrealishMCIBOU69009196.00
There is a reason Grealish is cheaper than most of his teammates, but he was heavily involved in the attack along with Joao Cancelo on the left side. We may never get the goals we thought we were getting when he came from Aston Villa but with Erling Haaland up top, I think Grealish is a good bet for an assist or two. He had four crosses and two chances created last week at West Ham.
Christian EriksenMUNBRE  1824.20
I think he is a must-play if he starts up top again and could be United's best attacker regardless of position. He had three shots (two on goal) and three chances created against Brighton, and I am willing to chase a repeat at his price.
Josh DasilvaBREMUN  1121.30
Dasilva, Keane Lewis-Potter and Shandon Baptiste completely changed the game off the bench at Leicester. I think Dasilva is most likely to start and also most likely to score, but all three are punt plays if they get the nod.
Bruno GuimaraesNEWBHA670012.481414.20
He wasn't involved in either of Newcastle's goals against Nottingham Forest but he did have one cross, one shot and three chances created. He is too cheap on FD and he is a GPP play on DK.
James Ward-ProwseSOULEE890024.041835.90
With Kevin De Bruyne off of free kicks (at least for one game), I would argue James Ward-Prowse is the safest player on the slate. He had seven crosses and four chances created against Tottenham last week, and this matchup should be much easier. He may be less likely to score a goal than the the Manchester City attackers but I like that Ward-Prowse doesn't have to score to provide value.
MidfieldersTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Marcus TavernierBOUMCI470014.41310.30
Only four players had more than Tavernier's eight crosses last week, and he created three chances for good measure. If he has half as many crosses against Manchester City he will be one of the better value plays on the DK slate.
Moussa DjenepoSOULEE43009.861013.90
I wasn't going to include Djenepo on this list. I was content to mention him in the context of Kyle Walker-Peters and Romain Perraud and just move on, but the lack of cheap, viable midfielders on DraftKings made me reconsider. He may only play 60 minutes, but with this matchup, that is likely all we need.
Kevin De BruyneMCIBOU1000015.482217.30
This isn't as easy a call as it would have been in past seasons, but he still finished last week's game with five crosses, three chances created, an assist and a goal that was called back for offside. I would probably try to pay up for Erling Haaland in tournaments, especially on FanDuel, but the matchup and De Bruyne's skillset are too good to ignore on DraftKings.

EPL DFS Top Defenders

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Kyle Walker-PetersSOULEE49005.04910.40
Nearly all of Southampton's offense went through the wing backs in Week 1, and while that could change a little bit with a better matchup, all indications out of Southampton are that's how Ralph Hasenhuttl wants to play. I think Moussa Djenepo and Romain Perraud are going to split time at left wing back while Kyle Walker-Peters is far more likely to play 90 minutes. I would consider playing both or pivoting to to the left wing back if I needed to save some money, but I think it is probably wise to pay up for Walker-Peters if you can.
Harry MaguireMUNBRE  910.40
I was pleasantly surprised to see his price so low. I don't expect a ton of defensive stats but with as poor as Manchester United has played for the last 12 months, they can't be ruled out. More importantly, Brentford struggled against set pieces last week and Maguire is United's best target on those plays. He could be worth a shot in tournaments.
Jordan ZemuraBOUMCI31005.3817.10
Zemura did a little bit of everything against Leicester with two blocks, two clearances, three tackles and a chance created. Manchester City should dominate possession Saturday which could lead to even more defensive actions for Zemura. Bournemouth's center backs are much safer but I am willing to take a chance on a repeat performance at his price.
Ben MeeBREMUN  112.60
Mee was pretty terrible in his Brentford debut, but after years of racking up clearances with Burnley, I think he will bounce back in a better matchup against Manchester United. United was fourth last season in tackles + interceptions allowed, and Mee should be a nice value on FanDuel.
Antonee RobinsonFULWOL37004.04910.40
Robinson and Kenny Tete have been nearly identical statistically the last two seasons, but Kete got the assist last week, which makes Robinson $400 cheaper this week. Only seven teams allowed more crosses than Wolves last season and three of those were relegated. Robinson is a cheap, safe defender for DraftKings.
