If you are looking for my favorite MLB player props for today’s games on Underdog Fantasy, you have most certainly come to the right place. We have the luxury of getting pretty good lines for some of the league’s hottest and most notable hitters, not to mention one of the game’s filthiest pitchers facing a strikeout-prone squad from the NL Central. Here are my favorite MLB picks for today’s games over on Underdog Fantasy.

MLB Underdog Player Props

OVER 1.5 Total Bases

Manny Machado may be just 1-for-5 in his career against Zach Thompson, but that doesn’t scare me in the slightest. Not only has Thompson allowed a .480 batting average and .535 wOBA to right-handed hitters this season, but Machado is piping hot at the moment, hitting .458 over his last 24 at-bats. He’s sporting a .358 average and .924 OPS against righties this season, and he’s hit safely in five of his last six with three multi-hit efforts in that span.

OVER 1.5 Total Bases

George Springer is 1-for-3 in his career with a home run against José Urquidy, and he’s hit right-handers at a .273 clip this year with a .340 wOBA. Springer’s numbers against lefties are better, sure, but he’s in a good spot against Urquidy, who has displayed reverse splits, allowing righties to hit .361 with a .438 wOBA this season. Springer has hit safely in five of his last seven games, posting a .308 average and .577 slugging percentage during that span.

OVER 6.5 Strikeouts

The Pirates have the fourth-highest strikeout in all of baseball, and if you look specifically against right-handers, they have the league’s worst mark at 27.1 percent. Yu Darvish has 15 strikeouts over his last 12.2 innings of work, and while he has been better at home compared to on the road this season, he should torture this Pittsburgh lineup.
