CFB DFS Lineups: Top Plays
Darian Mensah, QB, Duke
DK: $8,000 | FD: $10,400Â
The Virginia vs. Duke game features the highest total on the early slate. Plus, it’s a tight spread with the Blue Devils slightly favored at home. This should be a back-and-forth offensive game, and it puts Darian Mensah firmly on our radar as a top play. The Duke QB has been up and down from a DFS standpoint, but we just saw his ceiling two weeks ago with 34 DK vs. Clemson. He’ll face an inconsistent UVA pass defense that’s struggled in its toughest matchups this season.Â
Cooper Barkate, WR, DukeÂ
DK: $7,100 | FD: $9,700Â
Darian Mensah’s favorite target in the passing game is also a top WR play this week. Cooper Barkate is averaging 91.6 receiving yards and 5.6 receptions per game. He recently exploded for 172 and 127 yards against Georgia Tech and Clemson, respectively, posting 35 and 27 DK in those games. The DFS ceiling is high for Barkate at his best to outperform other top receivers on this slate. If this game vs. Virginia turns into a higher-scoring shootout, then he’ll be worth playing as a one-off or in a stack with Mensah.Â
Jordan Marshall, RB, MichiganÂ
DK: $7,100 | FD: $9,500Â
Jordan Marshall has quickly emerged as an elite RB play as the lead back for Michigan. He’s taken over the Wolverines’ workhorse role with Justice Haynes sidelined. In the past 3 games, Marshall is averaging 157.7 total yards per contest with at least 110 rush yards in each. He’s also scored 5 times over the last 3 games. Count on Marshall to get 20+ touches this week and rack up yards. He’ll face a Northwestern defense that’s allowed 11 rush TDs in 6 conference games, while giving up 4.64 yards per carry in league play (97th in FBS).Â

CFB DFS Lineups: Value Plays
Rueben Owens II, RB, Texas A&M
DK: $5,500 | FD: $8,200Â
Rueben Owens is still too cheap on DK, and he’s a solid value on the FD slate as well. He’s been productive as Texas A&M’s lead back since Le’Veon Moss went down. Over the past 5 games, Owens is averaging 92.8 total yards and 15.6 touches per game with 5 TDs in this stretch. He also has 20+ DK points in 3 of the last 5 games now. It’s a favorable home matchup, as South Carolina has struggled vs. the run in conference play (172.3 rush yards allowed per game). A&M should also lean on the rush plenty, considering the Gamecocks are good against the pass.Â
Harlem Berry, RB, LSUÂ
DK: $5,100 | FD: $6,500Â
It’s risky rostering any LSU player right now following the head coaching change. One beneficiary of that, though, might be freshman RB Harlem Berry. He’s been operating as LSU’s lead back lately, with 32 carries over the past 3 games compared to 15 for Caden Durham. Plus, Berry is averaging 5.6 yards per carry in this recent stretch. He deserves more touches moving forward and now faces a weak Arkansas rush defense. The Razorbacks are allowing 187.0 rush yards per game in conference play (96th in FBS), with 11 rush TDs allowed in 5 league games. The path is there for Berry to smash value.Â
Kenny Johnson, WR, PittsburghÂ
DK: $4,900 | FD: $7,400Â
Kenny Johnson’s production has picked up significantly since Pitt made the quarterback switch to Mason Heintschel. Over the past 5 games, Johnson is averaging 79.8 receiving yards, 5.0 receptions, and 19 DK per game – with TDs in 4 of those. He’s emerged as a favorite target for the young Pitt QB. Expect Johnson to be busy this week in a favorable game script with Notre Dame in town. Plus, the Irish are beatable through the air (88th in pass yards allowed per game).Â
