THE SLATE (Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook)

7:30p- Navy @ Tulsa (-11) 47 O/U

10p- UNLV @ Nevada (-20) 58.5 O/U

IMPLIED TEAM TOTALS

Nevada- 39.25

Tulsa- 29.00

UNLV- 19.25

Navy- 18.00

QUARTERBACKS

Carson Strong (Nevada) Opp UNLV ($9.2K)

First lock of the slate. Coming off a monster game against Fresno State where he threw 61 passes and completed 49 of them (80%) for a season high 476 passing yards and four touchdowns to go along with 7.6 yards per attempt. Now has 2,466 yards passing on the season- third among FBS quarterbacks- and facing a Nevada defense that is ranked 123 out of 130 with 288 passing yards allowed per game. Lock Strong in as a core play tonight.

Cameron Friel (UNLV) Opp @ Nevada ($5.5k)

UNLV freshman QB Friel was thrown into the fire and has responded. Played the most complete of his season last week in the close 27-20 loss to San Jose State when he completed 20 of 28 passes for 240 yards and a touchdown. He is no longer a freshman quarterback bailing from the pocket if his first read is covered and has developed a better feel for his offensive line and receivers

Also Consider:

Davis Brin (Tulsa) $7.0K GPP

RUNNING BACKS

Charles Williams (UNLV) Opp @ Nevada ($6.2K)

Looking to eclipse the school rushing record tonight as he needs 80 yards to pass Tim Cornett’s 3,733. Williams 3,654 career yards is tops among active FBS players and has 714 yards so far this season. With three 100-yard games so far this year (12th in country) Williams is averaging 20+ attempts per contest and is facing a Nevada rush defense that is allowing 20.2 FP a game to RB1’s.

Toa Taua (Nevada) Opp UNLV ($5.6K)

UNLV’s rush defense is just as bad as its pass defense allowing 159.4 yards per game on the ground. Taua touches the ball 13.7 times a game for a 65.3-yard average and nearly 14 yards receiving. UNLV allows 17.5 FPPG to the RB1 and Taua should be busy with Nevada favored by nearly three touchdowns.

Isaac Ruoss (Navy) Opp @TLSA ($3.9K)

Navy fullback has seen 18+ carries in three of his last four games giving him a safe floor for a punt play. Coming off a solid game against UCF where Ruoss finished with 21 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown. Navy has the best rushing attack in the American Athletic Conference with 212.1 yards per game.

Also Consider:

Shamari Brooks (Tulsa) $6.2K

Deneric Prince (Tulsa) $4.8K

Devonte Lee (Nevada) $3.8K

WIDE RECEIVERS

Romeo Doubs (Nevada) Opp UNLV ($7.9K)

Coming off monster game last week against Fresno State where Doubs tied a school record with 19 receptions for 203 yards and a touchdown. He was all over the field and as much as Fresno State knew he was the primary target in this prolific Nevada passing game they couldn’t stop him. If the Bulldogs defense had no answer for Doubs there is very little chance that the 123rd ranked pass defense of UNLV does. Core play.

Josh Johnson (Tulsa) Opp Navy ($6.5K)

Johnson has emerged as the team’s top receiver with a 32% target share with double digit targets in four of his last five games. Has over 100 yards receiving in three of his last four games with three touchdowns in that span, double digit targets and at least eight catches every game.

Juan Carlos Santana (Tulsa) Opp Navy ($4.4K)

Keylon Stokes is a game time decision and if he is out Santana gets an upgrade. His three best games this season have all come when Stokes was out. Week 3 against Ohio State Santana caught seven passes for 78 yards, he then caught five more passes for 99 yards and a score in Week 4 against Arkansas State and then last week when Stokes was out for a third time Santana had four receptions for 49 yards on seven targets at USF.

Tory Horton (Nevada) Opp UNLV ($4.1K)

Cole Turner is the WR2 in this pass happy offense but is more suited for GPP at $7.2K. That brings us to Horton who looks like he has become the preferred third option, leading the rest of receivers in snap counts last week and up to 87% of the routesHe was also useful with six catches for 49 yards on eight targets.

Also Consider:

Cole Turner (Nevada) $7.2K

Justin Lockhart (Nevada) $6.0K

Kyle Williams (UNLV) $4.9K

Steve Jenkins (UNLV) $4.6K

Sam Crawford Jr (Tulsa) $5.4K
