QUARTERBACKS

Quarterbacks
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Caleb WilliamsOUTTU1000019.16
It’s hard to pay up for Williams in cash with a 10k price tag, but the GPP upside is definitely there for a guy who’s playing so well he’s getting Heisman buzz. The freshman dual-threat showed some DFS ceiling two games ago vs. TCU when he accounted for five total TDs and 40 DK points. With Williams, we know he’s going to be running it as he already has 224 rushing yards and three rush TDs over the last three games. The OU offense oddly started slow last week vs. Kansas but should have a field day against a weak Texas Tech defense.
Sam HartmanWAKEDUKE900029.81
Props to you if Hartman was in your lineup last week when he went bonkers for six total TDs and nearly 50 DFS points despite a decent Army defense. This high-powered Wake offense has been lighting up the scoreboard every week and Hartman is playing a big role with a 19:3 TD:INT ratio over seven games and even a rush TD in each of the last three. Expect Hartman to stay hot against a poor Duke pass D - hence why Wake is projected to score the most on this slate. He’s a firm cash play with plenty of GPP upside as well.
Kenny PickettPITTMIA880032.31
It’s pretty clear that Pickett is pretty much matchup-proof after he just put up 302 yards, two TDs and 24 DFS points vs. Clemson last week. The Pitt QB now has a 23:1 TD:INT ratio through seven games and is basically locked in to 25-30 DFS points or more. Expect him to have a ton of success through the air against a below-average Miami pass defense. Like Hartman above, Pickett is great for cash on this slate and could end up being popular.
Anthony BrownORECOL810021.61
Brown continues to be a very solid DFS cash play because of his rushing floor. After rushing for 85 yards and a TD last week, the Oregon dual-threat now has a rushing score in five of seven games and 327 total rushing yards. That has allowed Brown to put up 20+ DFS points in all of Oregon’s FBS matchups this season. Though there’s some blowout potential vs. Colorado this week, the soft matchup should allow Brown to do enough before the offense takes its foot off the gas.
Skylar ThompsonKSUTCU730017.04
For much of Thompson’s career, we played him in DFS because of the rushing upside. However, that’s changed because the K-State dual-threat is now running far less ever since he returned from a leg injury. Even so, Thompson remains a solid QB play because of his passing numbers and now gets a good matchup vs. TCU’s below-average pass D. Over the last three games since returning, Thompson has a 6:1 TD:INT ratio and efficient percentage-wise. The game flow of this one - with KSU being small favorites and a nearly 60-point total - should keep Thompson busy as a passer to trust in cash.
Tyler Van DykeMIAPITT670018.3
Going against Pitt isn’t the easiest of matchups, but Van Dyke should be passing enough in this game to put up stats. He’s coming off an excellent performance vs. NC State when he had 325 passing yards, four TDs and 32 DFS points. Though he’s been a bit inconsistent from an efficiency standpoint since taking over as the starter, Van Dyke has put up 18, 17 and 32 DFS points in his three full starts. You could do a lot worse for your Super-Flex than a guy who we know will be throwing a ton with Miami likely trailing Pitt for most of this higher-total game.

Also Consider:

Desmond Ridder -- Cincinnati ($8,300) -- GPP

Gerry Bohanon -- Baylor ($7,200) -- Cash/GPP

Stetson Bennett -- Georgia ($6,700) -- GPP

Brock Purdy -- Iowa State ($6,400) -- Cash

D.J. Uiagalelei -- Clemson ($5,700) -- GPP

Henry Colombi -- Texas Tech ($5,400) -- GPP

RUNNING BACKS

Running Backs
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Bijan RobinsonUTBAY970031.87
If Bijan Robinson is on the slate, he’s always in play because of the raw talent and workhorse role in the Texas offense. The Heisman contender is nearly matchup-proof and has been arguably the best collegiate RB all season - hence the sky-high price tag this week. Can you blame DK when the guy is coming off a 41 DFS point performance and has 130+ total yards and at least one TD in five straight games. The Baylor rush defense is a tough one for opposing RBs, but Robinson has proven he can have big games regardless.
Deuce VaughnKSUTCU940027.07
In terms of rushing matchups, Vaughn has the most favorable one on the slate and it should make him popular yet again in all formats. The TCU defense is giving up 212 rushing yards per game and 5.43 ypc with 16 rush TDs allowed over seven games. It’s one of the worst rush defenses among power conference schools and Vaughn could easily replicate his 37 DFS points from last week. The other thing we love with Vaughn is his usage as a receiver out of the backfield lately. He has 25 receptions and three receiving TDs over the past four games combined and that pass-catching role gives him an even higher floor.
Jerome FordCINCYTUL920026.21
Two weeks ago, we saw Ford smash in a favorable matchup vs. USF when he put up 189 rushing yards, four TDs and 49 DFS points. We could very well see a similar stat line this time around vs. a Tulane defense that’s allowed 193 rushing ypg and 20 rush TDs over seven contests. The risk with playing Ford is always whether or not it’s Desmond Ridder stealing away TDs either on the ground or through the air in Cincy’s high-powered offense. Lately, though, it’s Ford getting plenty of production on the ground and that shouldn’t stop in this plus-matchup.
Kennedy BrooksOUTTU840017.78
The OU backfield began the season as a committee, but Brooks has now fully taken over lead back duties from Eric Gray. He’s seen 20+ carries in three straight games compared to less than 10 touches for Gray in each game. Brooks is not only benefiting from more volume, but he’s become more efficient with Caleb Williams now providing a threat as a runner next to him in the backfield. The Brooks/Williams read option tandem is tearing up defenses and should do the same to Texas Tech’s below-average rush D. The price tag may seem expensive, but Brooks has put up 38, 25 and 23 DFS points in the last three games and is now a great cash play.
Abram SmithBAYUT720022.63
We’ve been targeting RBs against the Texas rush defense all year and it doesn’t stop with Baylor’s backfield. Though he splits work with Tresten Ebner, Smith is still mostly the lead back and he’s coming off a monster performance vs. BYU when he had 202 total yards and three TDs on 29 touches. Smith should see enough volume in a run-heavy Baylor offense to take advantage of a Texas D that’s allowing 201 rushing ypg and 14 rush TDs over seven games. The price tag is very attractive here when you compare him to other top RBs on this slate - and it makes him a solid cash option.
Will ShipleyCLEMFSU570012.68
With Kobe Pace out this week due to COVID protocols, it’s Shipley back in the lead RB role for Clemson. After missing a couple games with a knee injury, Shipley returned last week and had 52 rushing yards on 10 carries. We’ve been waiting all year for the Clemson offense to wake up and this could be the matchup to do so against a below-average Florida State defense. Shipley has some upside like we saw back in Week 3 when he was the lead back and had 23 DFS points, 88 rushing yards and two TDs on 23 total touches.
Christian Beal-SmithWAKEDUKE510012.87
Though Beal-Smith has let us down for DFS earlier this season, this seems like a good spot for him to return value at an affordable price tag. With Wake being sizable favorites against a soft Duke defense, the matchup and game script are both very beneficial for CBS to have put up numbers in this one. The rushing volume is a bit inconsistent with Justice Ellison being involved, but Beal-Smith is still the lead guy and should do enough to pay off this salary for cash games - and it's only a matter of time until he eclipses 100+ rushing yards (something he's yet to do this season).
Rodney Hammond Jr.PITTMIA420012.08
Pitt has a couple key injuries to monitor and it could at least open up some value in the backfield. Lead RB Israel Abanikanda is questionable with a concussion and if he’s out, then we’ll see both Rodney Hammond Jr. and Vincent Davis step into bigger roles - especially with A.J. Davis entering the transfer portal earlier this week. Hammond is interesting because he saw 11 carries for 66 yards last game when Abanikanda got hurt. Besides the solid usage, Pitt playing him at all is notable because it officially burned a year of eligibility and clearly shows the team intends to use him down the stretch. Hammond’s 5.8 ypc is much better than Davis’ 3.3 ypc and he’s simply looked like a more explosive, complete back when given the run. Thankfully this is a noon ET game so we’ll know early if Abanikanda is playing or not.

Also Consider:

Breece Hall -- Iowa State ($9,100) -- Cash/GPP

Travis Dye -- Oregon ($8,700) -- GPP

Mataeo Durant -- Duke ($7,700) -- Cash/GPP

Zach Evans -- TCU ($7,000) -- GPP

Zamir White -- Georgia ($6,000) -- Cash

Justice Ellison -- Wake Forest ($4,700) -- GPP

Treston Ebner -- Baylor ($4,300) -- GPP

Vincent Davis -- Pittsburgh ($3,900) -- GPP

WIDE RECEIVERS

Wide Receivers
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Jaquarii RobersonWAKEDUKE760021
Ever since DK decided to make Roberson $5200 in Week 5, he’s been a DFS stud. Wake’s top wideout has at least 135 receiving yards and 23 DFS points in each of the last three games and just went off for 44 points last week with his three TDs. We already knew of Roberson’s talent from last year, but he’s finally clicking on all cylinders with QB Sam Hartman and is now priced way up. This soft matchup vs. Duke, though, puts Roberson and all of the Wake offense in play for cash or GPP - and the Hartman/Roberson pairing could easily give you 70-80 points alone like last week.
David BellPURNEB710025.63
Bell let us down last week when he only had 9.3 DFS points as the Purdue offense was held in check by Wisconsin. It was encouraging, though, that Bell still had six catches in that game even though the yardage wasn’t there. His reception floor has been very consistent with at least six grabs in every game and that puts him in play for cash. The GPP ceiling is always there like when he had 11 for 240 and 44 DFS points just two weeks ago.
Jadon HaselwoodOUTTU670011.7
It’s a small sample size, but it looks like Haselwood will continue to be one of Caleb Williams’ favorite targets. In the last two games with Williams under center, Haselwood has four TDs on nine catches for 94 yards. It seems like Williams favors Haselwood over Marvin Mims, and the current injuries to Mike Woods and Mario Williams narrows the target share even further in this OU receiving corps. At this price, Haselwood is more of a GPP option - but he could easily go for 100+ yards and multiple TDs this week with how often Williams is looking his way.
Phillip BrooksKSUTCU52009.84
We mentioned Brooks as a value last week and he was involved plenty with five catches. Though the yardage wasn’t there (only 37 yards), it’s notable that Brooks continues to see plenty of targets for a third straight game with QB Skylar Thompson back under center. He’s overtaken Malik Knowles as KSU’s top receiver and it’s coincided with Thompson being back healthy. TCU’s below-average pass defense could allow Brooks to do enough to return value here.
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Devon WilliamsORECOL48008.12
Oregon’s receivers have been uninspiring and inconsistent for DFS all season, but Williams might be emerging as a go-to for QB Anthony Brown. Over the last two games combined, Williams has nine catches for 147 yards and led the Ducks’ WR corps both times. He’s certainly playing a lot better than Jaylon Redd, Mycah Pittman or Johnny Johnson right now and Brown is looking his way plenty. Even though this Oregon offense is usually run-heavy, Williams could see enough targets to return value at sub-5k.
R.J. SneedBAYUT470012.13
Despite the Baylor offense usually being run-heavy, the receiving production is being largely funneled between two guys. It’s Tyquan Thornton and R.J. Sneed seeing most of the targets from QB Gerry Bohanon and both are in play as Baylor could find itself in a high-scoring matchup with Texas. For the pricing, though, Sneed is the better option for value. He just had six catches for 72 yards last game and has at least four receptions in four of six games thus far. The floor is very good for a guy that’s sub-5k.
Taysir MackPITTMIA470012.01
We talked about the injury to monitor in Pitt’s backfield, but star WR Jordan Addison is also in real danger of sitting this week with a concussion he suffered last game. If Addison is out, then both Taysir Mack and Jared Wayne ($4000) become instant values in this receiving corps. The two have had similar production this season in terms of receptions (22 for Mack, 23 for Wayne) and yards (369 for Mack, 337 for Wayne). The notable difference, though, is that Mack has scored three times over the past four games while Wayne only has one TD on the year. Both are solid plays in cash or GPP though if you need the value and Addison is confirmed out.
Marcus FlemingUMDIU45006.87
Maryland is desperate for someone to step up in the receiving corps with Dontay Demus and Jeshaun Jones out for the season. Fleming did just that last game despite being buried on the depth chart for much of this year. He had five receptions for 62 yards and a TD and appeared to be the only WR not named Rakim Jarrett to have any rapport with Tagovailoa. He now has seven catches over the last two games despite only having one reception all season beforehand. Fleming could end up being a favorite target for Tagovailoa down the stretch and at least we know the competition at WR has thinned.
Charlie KolarISUWVU410012.3
DK pricing continues to gift us a Charlie Kolar value play and we should take advantage as long as we can. The Iowa State tight end is still inexplicably cheap even though he has at least four receptions in every game this season and is coming off a six-catch performance last week. Kolar’s DFS floor is a lot safer than most pass-catchers in this price range and he remains an excellent cash salary-saver. With all the high-priced QBs and RBs we want, getting Kolar as a value in lineups is clutch.
Key'Shawn SmithMIAPITT37008.75
Though Charleston Rambo is the headliner in the Miami receiving corps, Smith is quietly overtaking Mike Harley as the team’s second-best pass-catcher. Over the last two games combined, Smith has 11 catches for 104 yards and he’s been notably more productive than Harley. Smith’s emergence has also coincided with Tyler Van Dyke taking over at QB. We know Miami will need to pass more this week to keep up with Pitt and Smith could see enough targets to return value as a nice cash play.
La'Vontae ShenaultCOLORE33004.3
Shenault is back from suspension and could step into being Colorado’s No. 1 wideout right away. Buffs’ top WR Dimitri Stanley is dealing with an injury that held him out of last game and he’s a game-time decision this week. Remember that Shenault was Colorado’s second-best receiver stat-wise last year (behind Stanley) and remains one of the best raw talents on the offense. It obviously remains to be seen how much Shenault is involved in his first game back, but the Buffs desperately need playmakers as they struggle to move the ball. There’s some GPP upside here against a below-average Oregon pass defense.

Charleston Rambo -- Miami FL ($6,900) -- GPP

Xavier Worthy -- Texas ($6,800) -- GPP

Rakim Jarrett -- Maryland ($5,400) -- Cash

Jeremiah Hall -- Oklahoma ($4,400) -- GPP
