CFB DFS Lineups: Top Plays
Joey Aguilar, QB, TennesseeÂ
DK: $7,900 | FD: $10,700Â
The Vanderbilt vs. Tennessee matchup has the highest total on the slate. It’s setting up to be a back-and-forth shootout, so we’ll definitely want a piece of the game. Diego Pavia offers a high ceiling, but he’s also the most expensive QB on both sites. Joey Aguilar can also put up numbers, and he’s notably cheaper. The Tennessee QB gets to face a shaky Vandy pass defense that’s allowing 282.6 pass yards per game in conference play (129th in FBS). Aguilar has shown the upside to throw for 300+ yards with 3-4 TDs at his best. He can do it again this weekend in a favorable home matchup.Â
Kaytron Allen, RB, Penn StateÂ
DK: $8,500
This is a DraftKings-only play, but it deserves to be highlighted as a top pick. Rutgers has one of the worst rush defenses in the country, allowing 221.6 rushing yards per game in conference play (128th in FBS) and 6.87 yards per carry vs. league opponents (134th). The defense has also given up 18 rush TDs across 8 conference games. It’s a great spot for Penn State’s rushing attack and Kaytron Allen, who’s been the workhorse over Nick Singleton lately. Over the past 5 games, Allen is averaging 23.6 carries per game. He’s also had 3 different weeks of at least 145 rushing yards, 2 TDs, and 30 DK points. Another big performance could be coming against Rutgers’ terrible run defense.Â
Dean Connors, RB, HoustonÂ
DK: $6,500 | FD: $8,700Â
There are definitely some more well-known and safer high-priced running backs in action. Yet, Dean Connors is worth a hard look in a fantastic matchup. Baylor is allowing 198.1 rushing yards per game in conference play (115th in FBS) and 5.2 yards per carry vs. league opponents (119th). The defense has also given up 20 rush TDs over 8 conference games. Meanwhile, Connors is averaging 18 total touches and 92.7 total yards per game this year as Houston’s lead back. The Cougs should have a ton of rushing success in this matchup between Connors and dual-threat QB Conner Weigman. Let’s just hope it’s Connors doing most of the damage.Â

CFB DFS Lineups: Value Plays
Tre Richardson, WR, Vanderbilt
DK: $5,200 | FD: $7,200Â
As noted above, we’ll want some exposure to Vanderbilt’s high-scoring matchup vs. Tennessee. On the Vandy side of things, there are multiple pass-catchers to consider. Eli Stowers and Junior Sherrill are the headliners and safer plays, but Tre Richardson has also emerged with some big games lately. He just went off for 159 yards, 3 TDs, and 42 DK last week. That came right after having 124 yards and a TD the game before. Richardson’s production hasn’t been consistent this year, but Diego Pavia is clearly looking his way often for big plays right now.Â
Jeremy Payne, RB, TCU
DK: $5,100 | FD: $7,200Â
TCU running back Kevorian Barnes is slated to miss another game. That means Jeremy Payne should see starter-level volume as the lead guy. We saw it last week when Payne had 18 carries for 103 yards with Barnes out. Other RBs could be involved for TCU, but Payne should be the lead ball-carrier. He’ll face a Cincinnati defense that’s giving up 196.1 rush yards per game in conference play (113th in FBS) with 14 rush TDs allowed across 8 league games. If he sees the volume, which he should, then Payne can smash his cheap price tags in this home matchup. Â
Kenyon Sadiq, TE/WR, Oregon
DK: $5,000 | FD: $7,500Â
For whatever reason, Kenyon Sadiq is still really cheap on both sites this week. Oregon’s stud tight end put up 8 catches for 96 yards and a TD two weeks ago, and then had 6 catches for 72 yards and a pair of scores last game. He’s been the Ducks’ clear top pass-catcher lately with Dakorien Moore and Gary Bryant Jr. sidelined. Both could be out again this week, and Sadiq should be busy yet again in a tough road matchup at Washington. The Huskies have a good pass defense, but Sadiq is still a top playmaker for Oregon right now, and he has 23+ DK in three of the last four games.Â
