CFB DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Playbook & Schedule: Saturday, October 31st

Before we discuss top CFB DFS picks this week, let’s take a look at the slate. DraftKings has a 12-game main slate with only afternoon action. Meanwhile, FanDuel’s 14-game slate spans both the afternoon and night. For the write-ups, we’ll focus on top players and value picks for both sites. See our specific DraftKings and FanDuel core plays below. Here’s a look at the Week 9 CFB DFS picks.

CFB DFS Lineups: Top Plays

Devon Dampier, QB, Utah

DK: $8,800 | FD: $11,100

Devon Dampier has been a safe top DFS quarterback for undefeated Utah all season. He’s averaging 26 DK points per game and usually provides dual-threat production. Dampier has thrown for 15 touchdowns and added 5 rushing scores. He now faces a Cincinnati defense that ranks 128th nationally in total yards allowed per game. This should also be one of the highest-scoring matchups on the slate.

Kendrick Raphael, RB, SMU

DK: $7,600 | FD: $10,100

Wayshawn Parker is also a top RB play this week. Instead of talking about two Utah players, though, let’s highlight Kendrick Raphael. The SMU running back has a favorable matchup against Syracuse’s shaky run defense. The Orange allow 4.6 yards per carry vs. FBS opponents (92nd in the country) and have allowed 14 rushing TDs in 6 FBS games. Raphael, meanwhile, has at least 120 total yards in four of the last five games with 20+ touches in each. He’s also scored 9 TDs on the year.

Malachi Toney, WR, Miami FL

FD: $12,500

On the FanDuel slate, we have the tough decision of whether to pay up for Malachi Toney or Jeremiah Smith. Both have crushed the DFS slates all year with big-time stat lines. This week, Toney gets the slight nod if you can fit him into lineups. Ohio State’s QB situation is murky with Julian Sayin out. Smith could still go off, but that uncertainty points us to Toney. The Miami wideout is coming off two monster games, with 45 and 38 FD points in the past two weeks. He could easily make it three straight against UNC’s inconsistent defense.

Isaiah Mizell, WR, Arizona

DK: $6,400 | FD: $8,500

Just two weeks ago, Isaiah Mizell was an excellent value for us. Now he’s moved into the top plays tier after back-to-back 30+ DK performances. The Arizona wideout had 183 yards and 2 TDs against West Virginia two weeks ago, and then put up 134 yards and a TD against Iowa State. He’s a top target in the offense with all of the WR injuries. Mizell now faces a Texas Tech defense that ranks 134th nationally in passing yards allowed per game vs. FBS opponents.

CFB DFS Lineups: Value Plays

Aidan Chiles, QB, Northwestern

DK: $7,100 | FD: $10,300

The value QB range is a bit tough to navigate this week. Aidan Chiles is worth a look in the cheap range, averaging 26 DK points per game. He’s run for 9 touchdowns this season and carries an impressive 12:1 TD:INT ratio. The road matchup against Oregon may seem tough, but the defense isn’t as strong as it's been in years past. With his dual-threat ability, Chiles could give us 20+ DFS points as he’s done in five of seven games. We’ll take at these prices.

Jon Denman, RB, TCU

DK: $5,400

Jeremy Payne is doubtful for TCU after sitting out last week. In his absence, Jon Denman should be the lead back in a favorable matchup. He had 15 carries for 58 yards last week with Payne out. That type of workload is enticing against Kansas, which ranks 115th in rushing yards allowed per game vs. FBS opponents. Denman is cheap enough to roster in the value range, especially if he gets 15-20 touches in this spot.

Makhi Frazier, RB, Ole Miss

DK: $4,900 | FD: $7,100

Can we interest you in another injury replacement running back? Kewan Lacy is out, which should move Makhi Frazier into the lead back role for Ole Miss this week. Frazier has double-digit touches in three straight games, and that’s with Lacy playing. He’ll now be locked into carries with his teammate sidelined. Frazier also had 101 and 73 rushing yards in two recent games. He faces an Auburn defense that ranks 93rd in success rate against the run.

Craig Dandridge, WR, Georgia

DK: $3,700 | FD: $6,100

Georgia’s passing attack has one of the best matchups on the slate. Florida ranks 123rd nationally in passing yards allowed per game vs. FBS opponents. The defense is also 126th in passing success rate. Unfortunately, Georgia doesn’t have any clear receivers to target. However, any cheap Bulldogs wideout is worth a dart throw. That brings us to Craig Dandridge, who is carving out a bigger role in the offense. He has 4 receptions in back-to-back games and just had 88 yards last game. Talyn Taylor, London Humphreys, and Lawson Luckie are options as well.
