CFB DFS Lineups: Top Plays
Julian Sayin, QB, Ohio StateÂ
DK: $8,500 | FD: $9,500
There are a ton of ways to go at quarterback this week. Julian Sayin is one player who shouldn’t be overlooked as a low-end, high-priced option. The Ohio State QB is playing very well lately, averaging nearly 300 YPG over the past 4 games. He also owns a 12:2 TD:INT ratio and an 83% completion rate in this stretch. Sayin now faces an Illinois pass defense that’s been lit up lately. In the past three games, the Illini secondary gave up 267 passing yards and 5 TDs to Indiana, 302 yards to Purdue, and 364 yards to USC. Saying and the Buckeyes’ pass game can certainly exploit this matchup, even on the road.Â
Ahmad Hardy, RB, MissouriÂ
DK: $8,300 | FD: $8,800
Missouri’s lead RB has been a machine this season. Ahmad Hardy has 100+ rushing yards in every game so far while racking up 9 TDs over 5 games. He’s also averaging 157.5 yards on 23.3 carries per game over the past 4 contests, with a 6.8 yards per carry mark in this stretch. He can keep it going this week against a shaky Alabama run defense. The Tide allowed 227 rushing yards to Georgia and 230 yards to Florida State. Even last week, they gave up 7.1 yards per carry to Vanderbilt. It’s a matchup that Hardy can thrive in, especially in a run-heavy offense.Â
Jayce Brown, WR, Kansas StateÂ
DK: $7,700 | FD: $9,500
There’s a chance the TCU vs. Kansas State game turns into a shootout with dangerous offenses on both sides. That would give Jayce Brown the upside to be one of the slate’s highest-scoring wide receivers. Either way, Brown has exploded over his past two games as Kansas State’s top playmaker. He had 143 total yards vs. Arizona two games ago, including a 75-yard touchdown run. After missing time due to injury, Brown returned last week and went off for 106 yards and a score. He now has 20+ DK points in 3-of-5 games this year. If you want other exposure to the K-State offense, Avery Johnson is a top QB play, and Jaron Tibbs provides some WR value.Â

CFB DFS Lineups: Value Plays
CJ Bailey, QB, NC StateÂ
DK: $7,200 | FD: $8,100
Rostering quarterbacks against Notre Dame’s shaky pass defense will be a weekly thing in CFB DFS this year. The Irish rank 116th in the country in passing yards allowed per game while regularly playing in high-scoring contests. Targeting opposing QBs in this matchup has been a good idea, especially when we get a cheaper one for the Super-Flex spot. That’s the case this week with CJ Bailey. The NC State QB is averaging 24.7 DK points and 276.7 passing yards per game, with 16 total TDs over 6 games. Bailey should provide a solid floor at an affordable price.Â
Abu Sama III, RB, Iowa StateÂ
DK: $4,500 | FD: $6,500
Iowa State’s backfield features a key injury situation to monitor. Starter Carson Hansen is questionable to play after suffering a concussion last week. If he’s out, then it makes Abu Sama III an immediate value as he moves into the lead role. Sama took on 18 carries for 96 yards last week after Hansen departed. He’s also averaging a solid 4.5 yards per carry this year. Sama has been productive in the Iowa State offense when given more touches over the past three seasons. He faces a poor Colorado rush defense that ranks 115th in yards allowed per game and 98th in yards allowed per carry.Â
Kenny Johnson, WR, PittsburghÂ
DK: $4,500 | FD: $6,300
Pittsburgh has undergone a quarterback change with true freshman Mason Heintschel now starting over Eli Holstein. In Heintschel’s first start last week, he threw for 323 yards and 4 TDs on 41 attempts. His favorite target? That was Kenny Johnson, who racked up 115 yards and a score on 9 catches. The duo had a clear connection, so let’s bank on that continuing this week. Pitt will likely be throwing a ton in this game to keep pace with Florida State’s high-powered offense. There should be enough targets going Johnson’s way for him to exceed value at his cheap price tags.Â
