CFB DFS QUARTERBACKS

Jayden Daniels - LSU vs. Auburn ($10.0K DK/$12.6K FD)

Jayden Daniels is a Heisman favorite as he leads one of the top offenses in the country.  He had another outstanding game last week against Missouri as he was 15 of 21 for 259 yards and three touchdowns through the air, adding another 130 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Individually, Daniels leads the SEC and ranks No. 2 in the nation in four categories: total offense (398.5 yards per game), passing TDs (19), pass efficiency (196.7 rating) and points responsible for (140). He stands atop the SEC and ranks No. 3 in the nation in passing yards per game (328.2). Last year he finished the season with 17 passing touchdowns, but only through six games he has already exceeded his career high and is currently at 19. Tonight, they are home against Auburn with a 36.25 team total as all signs point towards another Daniels monster game.

Behren Morton - Texas Tech vs. Kansas State ($6.3K DK/$8.4K FD)

Tyler Shough is out for a while with an injury, so Texas Tech has turned their offense over to Behren Morton and they haven’t missed a beat. The sophomore and one of Tech’s top QB recruits in history has played well the past two weeks averaging over 19 DK points and six touchdowns while throwing for 578 yards, eight touchdowns and two interceptions over the entire season. Last week Morton threw for 180 yards with three touchdowns while running for another score, and at this price he is fully in play as a value tonight. Take a shot here against a KSU pass defense that allows 259 air yards per game.

Dante Moore - UCLA @ Oregon State ($5.9K DK/$6.6K)

Moore, a true freshman and number two overall player in the 2023 class, has had an up and down first season with UCLA but he has established himself as the clear #1 option for the Blue and Gold. Moore is now coming off a bye week and as he continues through his ‘on the job training” he has looked the best among all Power Five true freshman signal callers. Most recently he helped the Bruins to a close win over #13 Washington State and now has completed 69-of-130 passes for 1,139 yards with nine touchdowns and four picks. Moore makes for a nice GPP-value play in what should be a close game at Oregon State.

Other Top Quarterbacks

Cameron Ward, Washington State ($9.1K DK/$11.2K FD) - Few quarterbacks had a better September than Ward as he had 39+ DK points in three of his four games. He did revert to his bad habits of 2022 last week against UCLA with two bad interceptions. Tonight he has a “get right” game against an Arizona defense that allows 243 yards in the air. Ward could end up as the highest scoring QB on the slate in what could be a shootout with the Wildcats.

Drake Maye, North Carolina ($9.6K DK/$10.8K) - Maye ranks among the Bowl Subdivision leaders in passing yardage (fourth, 325.8), total offense (360.6) and completion percentage (14th, 72.1%) while also running for four scores. Maye is a nice pivot from the higher owned Daniels tonight in GPPs.

Caleb Williams, USC ($10.7K DK/$11.7K) - Is this the rare game we can get Caleb Williams low owned? Tough matchup but the reigning Heisman winner is matchup proof and through six games, he’s passed for 1,808 yards and leads the nation with 22 touchdown passes (with just one pick), with an additional six touchdowns on the ground.

Tyler Van Dyke, Miami ($6.2K DK/$9.7K) - Van Dyke, the 2021 ACC Rookie of the Year, has regained form as his 84.5 QBR ranks second in the conference, behind only Carolina star Drake Maye (85.8 QBR). Van Dyke has also completed 72.6% of his passes for 1,330 yards, 12 touchdowns and four interceptions. Tough matchup against North Carolina but I will have my GPP shares of a quarterback that has been at least $2K more than this tag since week 3.

Frank Harris, UTSA ($9.9K FD) - With Harris back from injury UTSA’s offense is now functioning at a high level again. He looks to carry that success back to the Alamodome after posting an efficient 335-yard, 3-touchdown game at temple. This is the top FanDuel quarterback on the slate but you will be paying premium.

CFB DFS RUNNING BACKS

Tahj Brooks - Texas Tech vs. Kansas State ($6.3K DK/9.2K FD)

With Behren Morton starting behind center for the rest of the season, a solid running game is just what a young quarterback needs. Tahj Brooks has topped 100 yards rushing for four weeks in a row – a feat that no one has done at Tech since Ricky Williams in 1998. Brooks is currently fifth in the nation with 688 yards rushing and in his latest performance against Baylor, was nearly unstoppable. He carried the ball an astonishing 31 times and ran for 170 yards along with a score. For a program known for throwing the ball, Tech is quickly becoming a “run first” team and it all starts with Tahj Brooks. Logan Diggs (LSU), DJ Giddens (Kansas State) and Audric Estime (Notre Dame) all could lay claim to the top spot at RB tonight, but Brooks is my guy and a solid bet to hit the century mark for the fifth straight game.

Logan Diggs - LSU vs. Auburn ($6.2K DK/8.3K FD)

Logan Diggs may have been a late addition to the LSU roster, but the Notre Dame transfer has proven to be an offensive game-changer. He has 488 rushing yards on the year — ranking second in the SEC — and he has four touchdowns while averaging six yards a carry. Diggs now has three straight 100+ yard rushing games and is coming off 134 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries against Missouri. He is averaging over 6.0 yards per carry and has taken clear control of the backfield. Brooks is my guy as the top ball carrier of the slate, but I will do everything I can to also fit Diggs into my main lineup.

Nakia Watson - Washington State vs. Arizona ($4.8K DK/7.6K FD)

Nakia Watson was named to the Doak Walker Award watch list over the summer after a sterling 2022 season that included 144 carries for 769 yards and nine rushing touchdowns. His 13 total scores ranked ninth in the Pac-12, and his 96.7 average all-purpose yards ranked seventh, as did his 69.9 rushing yards per game. This season the All-Pac-12 honorable mention honoree is part of a well-documented ailing run game that is behind an offensive line that is desperately struggling in the run-blocking department. Watson has not notched more than 45 rushing yards in a game this season and that is a pretty good sample size after five games. I’m willing to take one more shot on a proven runner tonight on a slate that is lacking major value under $5K. Watson does have a touchdown in four of his five games played while averaging over 10 DK points a game which is acceptable at this price.

Other Top Running Backs

Audric Estime, Notre Dame ($7.9K DK/9.3K FD)The nation’s leading rusher through the first four games, the junior running back has been limited to a combined 171 rushing yards and two touchdowns the past three weeks.

Carson Steele, UCLA ($5.8K DK/7.7K FD) - Steele has worked his way to the lead back role with 413 rushing yards on an impressive 5.8 yards per carry, coupled with 64 receiving yards and three total touchdowns.

Jarquez Hunter, Auburn ($5.5K DK/6.1K FD) - Love the FanDuel price on Hunter who ran the ball 19 times last week against Georgia (59 yard/12 FD points). This week he gets to face an LSU run defense that allows 160.3 yards and ranked 93rd in the nation.

Donald Chaney Jr, Miami ($3.9K DK/6.2K FD) - Chaney is coming off a huge 106-yard game against Georgia Tech (14 DK points) making him the top bargain on a value starved RB slate. Another 100-yard game is no guarantee though as the Canes have a multi-headed attack (Chaney/Henry Parrish Jr./Ayjay Allen/Mark Fletcher) that is the ninth best in the FBS.

CFB DFS WIDE RECEIVERS

Malik Nabers - LSU vs. Auburn ($8.5K DK/8.8K FD)

Malik Nabers, who has caught a pass in 24 consecutive games, ranks second in the nation in receiving yards (771) and yards per game (128.5), and he’s fifth in receptions per game (7.7) and total receptions (46), and tenth overall in touchdown receptions (6). He averages 129 yards per game and 17 yards per catch. Nabers has had over 100 yards receiving for the past four games in a row. Enough said. Lock Malik Nabers in your Daniels lineups.

Jacob Cowing - Arizona @ Washington State ($7.0K DK/9.1K FD)

Jacob Cowing is a dangerous slot receiver capable of winning battles at all levels of the field. He is a DFS asset every week as the UTEP transfer’s route running and acceleration give him a reliable floor and he now leads the Pac-12 in receptions (47) and touchdowns (8). Cowing is coming off a career game against USC where he set a school record with four touchdown passes caught and a perfect 10 catches on 10 targets (43 DK points). Tonight, he gets another juicy matchup against a Washington State pass defense that allows 258.4 passing yards per game and is ranked 103rd out of 130 FBS teams.

Kyle Williams - Washington State vs. Arizona ($5.6K DK/8.1K FD)

UNLV transfer Kyle Williams certainly has taken a liking to WSU offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle’s air attack. He is now averaging over 17 DK points a game on 4.8 targets. With WR1 Lincoln Victor sidelined by a leg injury, Williams has become the favorite target for Cam Ward. He had eight catches against UCLA and has 15 receptions in the past two games. Williams also has at least one reception in all 30 games he’s appeared in at UNLV and Washington State. Josh Kelly is now the WR1 but Williams isn’t too far behind and makes for an excellent GPP play.

Jacolby George - Miami @ UNC ($4.0K DK/7.7K FD)

Jacolby George, Xavier Restrepo and Colbie Young have produced at a level that provides the Hurricanes football team with one of the best wide receiver groups in the nation. George, Restrepo and Young are all in the top 100 nationally in receptions and receiving yards per game. North Carolina will not be an easy matchup for Tyler Van Dyke and his receiving crew but at $4.0K on DK George is a solid value. He has been in double digit DK points in every game but last week (Georgia Tech) and with a 15.9 DK point average there is no reason not to expect similar numbers today from Jacolby George.

Other Top Wide Receivers

Josh Kelly, Washington State ($6.1K DK/8.7K FD) - Kelly was banged up after the UCLA game and missed some practice this week. The Cougars WR1 will be needed though as he has 26 catches for 376 yards and five touchdowns on the season.

Xavier Restrepo, Miami ($5.9K DK/$8.2K FD) - Slot receiver Restrepo has been the Canes best playmaker in the passing game this season, totaling 36 receptions for 478 yards and two touchdowns. His matchup against UNC’s Alijah Huzzle will be one of the best to see all day.

Joshua Cephus, UTSA ($8.8K FD)Cephus has 37 receptions for a team-high 384 receiving yards (76.8 per game) and four touchdowns. He is arguably one of the top point per dollar receivers on the FanDuel slate.

Carlos Hernandez & Isaiah Hamilton, Washington State ($4.7K & $3.6K DK/5.4K & 5.1K FD)If Kelly were out or limited today against Arizona, first-year receiver Hernandez’s role would likely expand. He already has 20 receptions this season for 162 yards. Hamilton is another candidate to see more turns if Kelly is out. He has 6 catches for 62 yards.
