College Football Predictions, Picks & Odds Today: Black Friday, 11/29
This is truly one of the best sports times of the year! After all the NFL action on Thanksgiving yesterday, we now get to watch a Black Friday filled with college football! And it’s not just a few boring matchups, either.
We have a total of 14 matchups today and plenty of them involve ranked teams. Will we see a day filled with upsets, or will the favorites roll on through in their regular season finales? Whatever way the day goes, hopefully our college football predictions will align!
College Football Predictions & Overview Today, 11/29
We’ve got teams playing for bowl berths, conference championship berths and for some, just straight up pride. Rather than shell out picks for the entire slate, I’ve narrowed my college football picks down to my three favorites of the day.
I’ve got a Oklahoma State vs. Colorado prediction, Mississippi State vs. Ole Miss prediction and a Nebraska vs. Iowa prediction. We’ll start with the Buffaloes, as Heisman favorite Travis Hunter will be in action on the same day as the guy right behind him, Ashton Jeanty.
Oklahoma State vs. #25 Colorado Predictions & Picks
Speaking of Hunter, he’s in a fantastic spot to put a stamp on his 2024 Heisman resume. His receiving yards prop is set at 103.5 for this matchup against the Cowboys, a number in which he’s gone over in 5 games this season.
Not to mention, he battled injury in a couple of games. I’m sure he’ll be eager to leave his mark as a collegiate athlete with him soon off to the NFL. Oklahoma State should aid that. They allow 272 passing yards per game which checks in at 129th in the country.
In their past 5 games, 4 of them have had an opposing receiver reach the 100-yard plateau, and obviously, none of them are as talented as Hunter, and none of them have a quarterback like Shedeur Sanders. Don’t be surprised if he blows the first of our college football predictions right out of the water.
- Expert Oklahoma State vs. Colorado Prediction: Travis Hunter O103.5 Receiving Yards (-115 at BetMGM)
Miss St. vs. #14 Ole Miss Predictions & Picks
We now head to the Egg Bowl for the next of our college football picks. But similarly to the last section, we’ll also be focusing on a receiving yards prop in this one, too. Most of the attention from opposing defenses will shift towards Tre Harris when facing the Rebels, and rightfully so. But Jordan Watkins has been sneaky reliable, too.
He’s currently on a 3-game streak of 4+ catches, 68+ yards and should extend that in this one. All of those came against defenses better than that of the Bulldogs, too. They’re 133rd in NCAAF in passing yards allowed per game at over 248, setting up Watkins nicely here.
In each of their last 2 games, Mississippi State has now allowed 2 separate receivers from the opposition to record 60+ receiving yards. You figure Harris will get his, so why not Watkins to clean up what’s left?
- Expert Mississippi St. vs. #14 Ole Miss Prediction: Jordan Watkins O78.5 Receiving Yards (-115 at BetMGM)
Nebraska vs. Iowa Predictions & Picks
To cap off our college football predictions for Black Friday, we’re going with a plus-odds wager! I really like the Hawkeyes to beat the Cornhuskers, and we can tack on what should be an easy extra task for both squads to get a solid payout.
These teams match up fairly similarly in that they rely on their defenses heavily, mainly to stop the run, and then to stop the pass. On offense, Nebraska certainly likes to air it out more than Iowa, but the Hawkeyes ground game is dominant.
This should be decided by just a few points, but the difference is how well Iowa plays at home. They’re 5-1 in the year at Kinnick Stadium, and the Cornhuskers are just 1-3 on the road in this campaign.
And the Hawkeyes haven’t just been winning at home, they’ve been dominating, emerging victorious by an average of 27.3 points in their last 3 games at home. We’ll see what happens, but I really like this wager to round out the day.
- Expert Nebraska vs. Iowa Prediction: Hawkeyes ML & Both Teams To Score 10+ (+115 at BetMGM)
