College Basketball CBB DFS Picks

CBB DFS Top Guards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Isaiah StevensCSUCOL950036.12820033.65
Isaiah Stevens is expensive, but he boasts one of the highest cash floors and GPP ceilings tonight. The Colorado State point guard is averaging 17.5 points and 7.8 assists per game so far with three 40+ DK efforts in the past five contests. He’s locked into an offensive role running the CSU attack and should not go overlooked tonight despite being the highest-priced guard on both sites. This matchup vs Colorado is one of the higher totals and Stevens will be plenty involved.
Walter Clayton Jr.UFWAKE850033.08760030.37
The Florida vs Wake Forest matchup is definitely one to target tonight as the highest total of the slate. Walter Clayton provides a strong cash floor as Florida’s high-usage point guard who always fills up the stat sheet. He’s averaging 16.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.8 steals per game with 30+ DK in all but one contest thus far. Even with Zyon Pullin back for Florida, Clayton is locked into an offensive role and should anchor cash lineups.
Reece BeekmanUVTA&M800032.5770030.98
Even in a low-scoring, defensive matchup vs Texas A&M tonight, Reece Beekman can still come through in cash. The UVA point guard is filling up the stat sheet in his high-usage role to provide a solid DFS floor. Beekman has 30+ DK in all but one game so far despite Virginia regularly playing in low-total games. He’ll surely be leaned on plenty in this tight matchup and should not be ignored in cash.
Tyrin LawrenceVANDBC790035.38
After sitting out the first four games, Tyrin Lawrence is back and he’s stepped right into a high-usage role for Vandy. The senior point guard has put up 38 and 32 DK in his two games so far with a 36% usage rate and 31% shot rate. It’s helped that Ezra Manjon has been sidelined, allowing Lawrence to take on the alpha role. Check Manjon’s status before tip, but Lawrence should provide a great cash floor with his heavy involvement in Vandy’s offense.
Sean PedullaVTAUB780031.32740028.89
Virginia Tech gets a considerable pace-boost tonight vs Auburn and it puts Sean Pedulla firmly on our radar. The junior point guard headlines VT’s attack with a 29% usage rate and 30% shots share so far. He’s stuffing the stat sheet averaging 15.9 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game. Pedulla has multiple 30+ and 40+ DK efforts already with this high-usage role. He has the GPP upside tonight even on the road because of the uptempo spot.
Tyrese ProctorDUKEARK690027.62670026.03
Tyrese Proctor isn’t a totally safe cash play right now, but he has plenty of GPP upside at his best. The Duke combo guard has popped off for 36 and 37 DK in two of the last four games with one of those efforts coming in the Michigan State matchup. Proctor will usually fill up the stat sheet in multiple ways, but his shot volume is fluctuating with so many mouths to feed on Duke’s talented roster. The sub-7k price tags on both sites put him squarely in GPP territory tonight.
Hunter SallisWAKEUF680028.25660025.68
Even with Kevin Miller and Cameron Hildreth taking on a ton of usage and overall production in Wake’s backcourt, Hunter Sallis is still one of the team's offensive leaders lately. The Gonzaga transfer is averaging 18.3 PPG this season with 26+ DK in four straight games. His price has increased considerably from the value range of past weeks, but Sallis continues to be a strong play. He leads Wake in shot rate right now and brings GPP upside when he’s hitting threes.

CBB DFS Value Guards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Xavier BellWICHRICH570028.39
On the DK slate, Xavier Bell is a glaring value and should be popular tonight. The junior is running Wichita State’s point and boasts a team-high 26% usage rate so far. Bell has 42 DK in two games already and at least 22 DK in six of seven contests this year. His high-usage role and stat-stuffing ability present strong value at his sub-6k price tag. Bell really should be priced much higher than this.
Aden HollowayAUBVT560021.35550019.10
Aden Holloway has been inconsistent game-to-game to start his collegiate career, both in real life and for DFS. Still, the freshman has a ton of talent and it seems Bruce Pearl is starting to trust him to run the offense more. Holloway has started the past three games and he currently boasts a 25% usage rate with a 30% shot rate when on the court this season. He’s gone for 34 and 24 DK in Auburn’s two matchups vs power conference opponents, which is a great sign of his confidence to step up against tougher competition.
Kobe ElvisDAYSMU540020.58
With Malachi Smith out for the year, Kobe Elvis has emerged as a top backcourt playmaker for Dayton. He has 20+ DK in all but one game so far and offers a decent cash floor of ancillary stats even when he’s not active shooting-wise. Elvis is coming off his best game with 15 points and 27 DK last time out while taking 13 shots. Hopefully, he carries that over to this matchup vs SMU. On the DK slate, Elvis is a nice bargain in the mid-5k range.
Jalen WarleyFSUUGA530021
Jalen Warley is at an attractive value price point on the DK slate tonight. The junior is one of Florida State’s top guards this season and he’s now logged 30+ minutes in back-to-back games coming in. Warley has 23+ DK in three of five contests so far with his assists and steals helping him return value despite not having a huge scoring role. Warley just exploded for 19 points and 29 DK last game and can carry that over to tonight’s uptempo matchup. He’s a solid cash salary-saver.
Zakai ZeiglerTENNUNC430011.1241009.45
Sooner or later, Zakai Zeigler has to wake up and smash value – right?! He’s off to a very slow start while returning from last year’s ACL injury and has yet to eclipse 20 DK points in any game. Still, Zeigler was one of Tennessee’s best players a season ago and should eventually get more comfortable as the year rolls on. He’ll be a buy-low candidate as long as the sites price him this cheap and a GPP outburst is bound to come. Maybe it happens here in a pace-boost matchup vs UNC.
Josiah StrongCSUCOL430014.38420013.32
Josiah Strong is really cheap on both sites for a starting wing in one of the higher totals of the slate. He’s not taking a ton of shots and rarely cracks double-digit points scored, but Strong can do just enough across the board to return value. He has 17+ DK in three straight games coming into tonight. We’ll take that all day at his low 4k price.
Layden BlockerARKDUKE35008.7137008.48
Arkansas’ lineups and rotations are changing by the minute. Rostering anyone from this team is very risky for cash because we simply don’t know what to expect game-to-game until things settle down. Right now, though, Layden Blocker has emerged as GPP value from the Razorbacks’ backcourt. The freshman has started the past two games with El Ellis demoted to the bench. He’s put up 14 and 22 DK in these past two starts with 27 and 28 minutes played, respectively. Blocker is also even more important to Arkansas’ guard rotation with Tramon Mark doubtful to play tonight.

CBB DFS Top Forwards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Kyle FilipowskiDUKEARK970037.75880036.10
If Duke is on the slate, then Kyle Filipowski has to be considered in all formats. The big man is having another strong season while averaging 18.8 PPG and 8.0 RPG as Duke’s go-to playmaker. He has 34+ DK in all but one game (a blowout win) and we can basically pencil him in for 30-40 DFS points tonight against a struggling Arkansas team. Filipowski also has that 50+ DK upside for GPP lineups, making his expensive price tag usually well worth it if you can fit him in.
Johni BroomeAUBVT870030.6760028.22
At his best, Johni Broome boasts one of the higher GPP ceilings on this slate. The Auburn big man can pop off for 40+ DFS points when he’s dominating inside and that could easily happen at home tonight against a subpar VT frontcourt. Broome has a team-high 31% usage rate this season and has double-double potential in any given game. The only worry is his foul trouble, which can limit the cash floor.
Tyrese SamuelUFWAKE810032.5780030.67
Tyrese Samuel is having a strong start to the season, averaging 14.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game as Florida’s starting center. The Seton Hall transfer has stepped into the vacated minutes and big man role of Colin Castleton and he’s been very valuable for DFS. Samuel has at least 28 DK in every game so far with GPP upside to smash when he’s dominating inside. That could happen tonight with Wake being a poor rebounding team and struggling inside defensively. He's firmly in play for cash or GPP.
Jamir WatkinsFSUUGA740032.2
On the DK slate, Jamir Watkins is an interesting GPP upside value if you’re looking to fade the other top forwards. The VCU transfer has been Florida State’s top overall player so far this season in a point-forward role with a team-high 26% usage rate. Watkins is stuffing the stat sheet with 14.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. He has 35+ DK in three of the last four games and can easily do something similar tonight in an uptempo home matchup vs Georgia.
Andrew CarrWAKEUF730031.12750028.98
Andrew Carr is a boom-or-bust GPP option in this higher-scoring Wake Forest vs Florida matchup. The big man has 32+ DK in four of six games so far but also a couple of lower-scoring outputs. Carr is averaging 15 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game and crush his low-7k price tags at his best. The head-to-head matchup in the paint is a bit tough against Tyrese Samuel, but Carr is still an upside GPP target tonight.

CBB DFS Value Forwards

Solomon WashingtonTA&MUV580016.39510015.77
Keep an eye on Texas A&M’s starting lineup and injury news with Henry Coleman and Tyrece Radford both questionable tonight. With Coleman out last game, Solomon Washington started and put up 30 DK points with 18 points and six rebounds in a season-high 30 minutes vs Iowa State. He also had 19 DK in 27 minutes the game prior when Coleman left early. This is a tough matchup on the road vs Virginia in a slow-paced spot, but Washington presents GPP upside if he starts with Coleman out again.
Alex CondonUFWAKE570019.29490017.80
Though he’s not starting, Alex Condon has been very productive in his limited minutes off the bench. The freshman big man actually leads Florida in usage rate (25%) when on the court as hes’ averaging 19.3 DK points in just 16 minutes per game. Condon has shown the upside for 25-30 DK at his best and we could see one of those GPP performances tonight in a high-scoring matchup. If Micah Handlogten sits out again, then Condon’s role in the frontcourt is even bigger.
Ven-Allen LubinVANDBC550024.5
On the DK slate, Ven-Allen Lubin presents some interesting value in the mid-5k range. After missing the first four games of the season, the Notre Dame transfer has stepped right into a starting role in Vandy’s frontcourt. He has 30 and 18 DK in his two games so far, averaging 13,5 points and 7.0 rebounds. Lubin was expected to play a big role at center for Vandy following the transfer and that’s now coming to fruition.
Dylan CardwellAUBVT480017.4500016.48
If you want cheap exposure to one of the higher totals tonight, Dylan Cardwell presents some interesting value. Despite only playing 15 minutes or so per game, the senior big man is efficient in his limited action. Cardwell is averaging 17 DK per game with multiple outbursts of 22+ DK points. Even in a handful of minutes, Cardwell is putting up stats in various categories and he’s needed when Johni Broome tends to get into foul trouble. It’s a risky cash play, but there’s GPP upside to exceed value.
Marqus MarionWAKEUF360011.92430011.27
Wake Forest is running a very tight rotation right now and Marqus Marion is the team’s top bench player. The freshman is logging 25-30 minutes per game most nights as essentially Wake’s sixth-man. That role gives him the ability to post 15-20 DK points if he can do just enough in multiple stat categories despite not being heavily involved offensively. He’s a decent punt play on both sites in this high-scoring, pace-boost matchup.
