College Basketball CBB DFS Picks

CBB DFS Top Guards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Tyler KolekMARQDPU900035.94
Tyler Kolek just had one of his worst games of the season in the blowout loss at UConn. It’s a prime bounceback spot for Marquette’s stud guard at home against lowly DePaul. Kolek is still averaging 17.4 points, 8.6 assists, 4.4 rebounds, and 39 DK over the past 10 games and should respond with an elite performance in this easy matchup. He had 22 points and 37 DK in the first meeting vs DePaul.
Mark SearsBAMAUF890035.56860032.90
After scoring 23 points with 40 DK last game, Mark Sears continues to be a strong DFS while scoring consistently. He now has 21+ real points in 11 of the past 12 games and is averaging 36 DK over the past 10 contests. This matchup vs Florida will surely be high-scoring and fast-paced with Sears being a big part of that. He’s expensive but has been worth it.
Jared McCainDUKEMIA820025.73670023.50
Jared McCain is coming off his best game of the season with 35 real points and 49 DK in an elite offensive effort. He’s been the go-to scorer for Duke over the past month now and has DK outputs of 49, 39, 33, 44, and 37 over the past seven games. This matchup vs Miami should be a higher-scoring one and McCain can keep it going against a shaky ‘Canes defense. He’s worth a hard look in GPP lineups.
Walter Clayton Jr.UFBAMA740028.43690025.95
With 21 points and 35 DK last game, Walter Clayton continues to stay hot as an upside GPP play for us. He’s now scored 20+ points in four of the past five games and can post 30-35 DK at his best when he’s scoring like that. Florida will need him and Zyon Pullin to anchor the offense tonight to keep pace in an uptempo, high-total matchup vs Alabama. We should see plenty of points scored by the Gators tonight (even if they lose) and Clayton is playing a key role right now.
Antonio ReevesUKLSU730029.7740027.56
As has been the case all season, the UK top guards are all in play for GPP lineups tonight. Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham always have the upside but are also inconsistent game-to-game. Antonio Reeves is also better suited for GPPs than cash, but his scoring role is more trustworthy right now. Reeves is averaging 20.5 PPG and 31 DK over the past 10 games and is locked into shot volume.
Jordan WrightLSUUK700029.64660027.50
With Jalen Cook likely out again, Jordan Wright should be locked into heavy shot volume as LSU’s go-to scorer. He has 16 points/26 DK and 14 points/33 DK in the past two games and offers more upside in a fast-paced, high-scoring matchup like tonight. Wright’s cash floor isn’t consistent enough to trust, but he offers some GPP potential at his best in an uptempo game flow against Kentucky’s shaky defense.

Bensley JosephMIADUKE640022.77560021.02
With Nijel Pack out last game, Bensley Joseph moved into the starting lineup and was one of Miami’s go-to playmakers. He had 34 DK in a stat-stuffing effort and had Miami’s second-highest usage rate behind Norchad Omier. It looks like Pack will be out again and Matthew Cleveland is also questionable with an illness. Joseph could be in line for a heavy role again, giving him GPP upside – especially at the FD price. Kyshawn George is also a GPP value from Miami.
Trae HannibalLSUUK590014.97450013.96
Trae Hannibal took on a bigger role for LSU last game with Jalen Cook out, which could be the case again tonight. Cook is questionable to play and seems unlikely to go. Hannibal just had 25 DK in 32 minutes without Cook in the lineup. He also had 30 DK in 31 minutes in a recent game that Cook sat out. He’s a GPP upside play on DK but is underpriced on FD.
Rylan GriffenBAMAUF580019.93520017.97
Rylan Griffen continues to be a solid value for Alabama. He’s scored 17 and 16 points in the past two games with 21 and 31 DK, respectively. Griffen is averaging 14.1 PPG and 23 DK over the past 10 games and he has 12+ points scored in eight of the last 10 contests. He’s shooting plenty of threes per game and with how fast/high-scoring Alabama games are played, there are enough shots for him to return or exceed value.
Riley KugelUFBAMA550020.34480018.45
As is usually the case with Florida on the slate, Riley Kugel is a boom-or-bust GPP play tonight in the value range. He has the upside for 15-20 points and 30+ DK when he’s on and this fast-paced, high-scoring matchup vs Alabama could give us one of those ceiling games. He’s been quiet in the past two games but recently exploded for 22 points and 32 DK vs Auburn.
D.J. WagnerUKLSU510020.52460019.13
If you want some cheap exposure to the high-scoring Kentucky vs LSU game, we have a couple of options in the UK backcourt. Adou Theiro is an upside play with some big games lately and a larger role with Tre Mitchell sidelined. As for DJ Wagner, he’s starting to see more minutes and a bigger role since recently returning from injury. Wagner is at a season-low price but it’s a good buy-low opportunity for value.
Caleb FosterDUKEMIA470015.09480014.04
Caleb Foster started the last game for Duke with Tyrese Proctor out and that should happen again tonight. Proctor has a concussion and is doubtful to play. Foster didn’t do much in the start with 13 DK, but he did play 35 minutes. When Proctor was out earlier this season, Foster started then and was usually good for 15-20 DK with the uptick in minutes and overall role. In an uptempo matchup here, Foster can be a solid value.

CBB DFS Top Forwards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Josh OduroPROVXAV910032.69830030.83
If Providence is on the slate, then we have to consider Josh Oduro and Devin Carter as top-tier plays per usual. Carter has gotten a bit too pricey, but Oduro should be an elite cash/GPP forward. The Friars’ big man is averaging a strong 20.5 PPG and 38 DK over the past 10 games with at least 34 DK in nine straight contests now. Oduro had 20 points and 37 DK in the first meeting vs Xavier and can easily replicate those numbers tonight in the rematch with his locked-in usage and shot volume.
Norchad OmierMIADUKE870036.65820033.80
The big man matchup between Norchad Omier and Kyle Filipowski tonight will be a fun one and either could end up breaking the slate. Duke isn’t too strong defensively inside and Omier can have plenty of success in this home spot. The Miami center is averaging a strong 18.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 38 DK over the past 10 games. He’s been a double-double machine with a very safe cash floor.
Oso IghodaroMARQDPU800031.41
When Marquette faced DePaul earlier this season, Oso Ighodaro dominated with 19 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, and 48 DK. We could be looking at another ceiling performance for him at home in this easy matchup. At his floor, Ighodaro is a great cash play anyway while averaging 15.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 36 DK over the past 10 games. He’s as good as any forward for cash tonight.
Coleman HawkinsILPSU790030.25
Penn State has the worst interior defense in the Big Ten with poor rebounding rates as well. It sets up perfectly for Coleman Hawkins to have success offensively and as a rebounder inside against this weak frontcourt. Hawkins is playing well, averaging 14.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 34 DK over the past 10 games. Even on the road, he should come through as a top cash forward in this favorable matchup.
Cameron MatthewsMSSTMISS780027.75720026.45
Cameron Matthews has been a very strong DFS play lately. He has at least 36 DK in five of the last six games, including a stellar 38 DK with a double-double in the first meeting vs Ole Miss. In this rematch at home, Matthews can easily replicate that performance with how well he’s playing. He’s stuffing the stat sheet in multiple categories and now has 10+ rebounds in five of the past seven contests.
Joel SorianoSTJNGU730032.57
Did you catch Rick Pitino’s recent tirade about his players? Well, Joel Soriano was named by his head coach and tonight presents a good opportunity to respond positively with a big game vs an easy opponent. Georgetown has the worst inside defense in the Big East and can easily have a ceiling game in this matchup. He just had a double-double and 37 DK last game and always has the upside for 40-50 DK at his best.

CBB DFS Value Forwards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Ugonna OnyensoUKLSU620017.58570016.94
With Tre Mitchell hurt lately, Ugonna Onyenso has stepped into a bigger role in the UK frontcourt. The sophomore 7-footer has 29 and 26 DK in the past two games and recently had a 54 DK outburst vs Florida in a high-scoring game. He has double-double upside for 30+ DFS points at his best and a fast-paced matchup like tonight could lead to one of those ceiling games again.
Aziz BandaogoCINCYOKST590021.74
Oklahoma State has the worst interior defense in the Big 12 while allowing a ton of points inside. Ok St also is the worst offensive-rebounding team in the conference. It sets up well for Aziz Bandoago, who is an excellent defensive rebounder and is Cincy’s top post scorer right now. Viktor Lahkin is seemingly being phased out of the rotation while Bandaogo just had 13 points, 8 boards, and 26 DK last game.
Zach HicksPSUIL580016.14
Zach Hicks was quiet for most of conference play but he’s been a much bigger part of Penn State’s offense lately. He’s scored 13+ points in five straight games and is averaging 15 PPG with 26 DK in this span. That larger scoring role should only continue now that Kanye Clary is off the team. The price tag is rising but Hicks is still slightly underpriced compared to his newfound role.
Alex CondonUFBAMA570020.4510019.05
Alex Condon is still coming off the bench and playing 20 minutes or so per game, but he also still has plenty of value upside. The freshman big man has 17, 22, and 26 DK in three of the past four games while being efficient in his limited playing time. He has GPP potential tonight in a high-scoring matchup against an Alabama defense that has issues inside. Condon can have success in the paint as both a scorer and rebounder to exceed value.
Keshawn MurphyMSSTMISS450010.05420010.26
With DJ Jeffries banged up right now, Keshawn Murphy has taken on more minutes in the Mississippi St frontcourt. The sophomore big man has seen his minutes increase for three straight games coming into tonight with 13-17 DK in each. It’s nothing flashy, but we’ll take that production at his mid-4k prices for cash lineups.
