College Basketball CBB DFS Picks
CBB DFS Top Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Kadary Richmond | SHU | MONM | 8800 | 33.94 |
| Kadary Richmond is a true stat-stuffer for Seton Hall in a high-usage point guard role. He’s averaging 15.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game while leading the team in usage rate and shot volume. Put it all together and Richmond is a high-floor cash guard, especially tonight at home in an easier matchup vs Monmouth. He has 38+ DK in three straight games and has less than 28 DK just once in nine games this season. | ||||
| Jahmir Young | UMD | ALC | 8400 | 32.03 |
| Maryland’s offense basically revolves around two guys with both Jahmir Young and Julian Reese being top plays tonight in an easy home matchup vs Alcorn State. As for Young, he’s averaging 17.7 PPG this season with a heavy 28% usage rate and consistently high shot volume. Young comes in hot with 20+ points scored and 32+ DK in four of the past five games. He should keep it going as a top cash guard vs Alcorn’s 347th-ranked defense that plays fast and is poor against the three. | ||||
| Issac McBride | ORR | TTU | 8200 | 35.18 |
| Even if Oral Roberts loses by double digits here, Issac McBride can still be a great cash play with his high-usage role as the team’s top playmaker. The senior point guard owns a 28% usage rate with very heavy shot volume while averaging 22.1 PPG this season. Before a dud in a blowout win last game, McBride had at least 33 DK in six straight games. The tougher road matchup vs Texas Tech may be worrisome, but McBride recently put up 27 points/45 DK vs Texas A&M and 25 points/39 DK vs Kansas St. | ||||
| Jayden Epps | GU | COP | 7500 | 30 |
| Georgetown’s starting lineup and rotations are fluctuating, but Jayden Epps has remained the team’s constant top playmaker. The point guard has 29% usage and shot rates this season while averaging 18.9 PPG and 4.7 APG. He’s consistently taking a ton of shots and running the Hoyas’ offense to maintain a higher floor/ceiling DFS combo. Epps has exploded for 38, 49, and 38 DK in three of the past five games and can easily do it again here in a likely blowout win. | ||||
| Elijah Hawkins | MINN | IUP | 7000 | 25 |
| With Dawson Garcia out the past two games, Elijah Hawkins has taken on more offensive usage for Minnesota. He was already a top playmaker as the point guard, but Hawkins’ DFS cash floor is a lot safer with Garcia sidelined. Hawkins has 11 assists in back-to-back games with 40 and 28 DK in these past two contests without Garcia. There may be better expensive guards on tonight’s slate, but Hawkins is perfectly fine at 7k flat. | ||||
| Jayden Taylor | NCST | TN-MA | 6800 | 26.88 |
| NC State has the largest projected team total tonight in the highest total of the slate. This is a fast-paced matchup against an easy opponent and several Wolfpack players are in play with this favorable game flow. Jayden Taylor is a top guard to consider as he comes in hot, scoring 17+ points with 28+ DK in four of the past five games. Taylor has a strong floor/ceiling for cash or GPP in this uptempo matchup and he has 36 DK in back-to-back games coming into tonight. | ||||
| Jeremy Roach | DUKE | HOF | 6500 | 23.89 |
| Tyrese Proctor is likely going to sit tonight, so Jeremy Roach will be needed more as one of Duke’s top playmakers in the backcourt. In the past two games with Proctor out, Roach put up 40 and 31 DK with 20 and 18 points scored, respectively, and plenty of ancillary stat production. His cash floor and DFS value clearly increase with Proctor off the floor. Roach was a risky play with Proctor healthy, but he’s now being leaned on offensively and Duke will need him tonight to avoid an upset to a pesky Hofstra squad. | ||||
CBB DFS Value Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Dominique Daniels Jr. | CALBA | ORE | 6000 | 25.71 |
| Though Cal Baptist likely loses by double digits tonight, Dominique Daniels is still a decent value to consider from the late-night hammer game. Simply put, Daniels is underpriced even at 6k flat. He’s Cal Baptist’s best player who’s averaging 17.5 PPG with 27% usage and a 33% shot rate. While Daniels and his team have yet to face as tough an opponent as Oregon, his heavy shot volume gives him GPP upside tonight. He’s exploded for 20+ points scored and 30+ DK in multiple games already because he’s launching a ton of shots. | ||||
| Zakai Zeigler | TENN | GSU | 5600 | 14.47 |
| After starting the season slow, Zakai Zeigler is finally looking more like the top-tier point guard that we’re used to seeing. He’s now started the last three games for Tennessee and has 23, 20, and 19 DK in these past three. The starting role has given him a safer cash floor of assists and just enough production in other stat categories despite not taking a ton of shots. Zeigler and the other Vols starters are risky plays in an expected blowout win here, but this is still a nice buy-low opportunity. | ||||
| Kerwin Walton | TTU | ORR | 5200 | 8.07 |
| With Devan Cambridge now out for the season, Kerwin Walton is a top candidate to move into Tech’s starting lineup. When Cambridge got hurt last game, Walton exploded for 22 points and 33 DK in a season-high 28 minutes. Don’t expect a repeat of that performance, but it’s certainly a good sign with Walton likely in an expanded role now with Cambridge sidelined. The low-5k price makes him a GPP value tonight. | ||||
| Jackson Shelstad | ORE | CALBA | 5100 | 16.25 |
| With Jesse Zarzuela sidelined, Jackson Shelstad is now starting for Oregon. The freshman combo guard has started the past two games in Zarzuela’s absence and he’s scored 14 and 11 points in 28 and 32 minutes played. The DFS outputs of 17 and 18 DK points in these past two starts isn’t flashy, but the uptick in playing time with 13 and 9 shots taken in the games is reason enough to consider him tonight. At least he gives you cheap exposure to the late-night hammer matchup. | ||||
| Jack Collins | MONM | SHU | 4800 | 24.22 |
| Jack Collins is actually a decent cash value despite playing on the road at Seton Hall. The sophomore wing plays 30-35 minutes per game and averages 11.2 PPG, 6.0 RPG, and 24 DK. Yes, Monmouth hasn’t faced a tough schedule so far. Still, Collins is one of the team’s core contributors in a tight rotation. He has at least 17 DK in every game this year and even put up 23 DK vs Princeton and 37 DK vs West Virginia in early-season matchups. Collins really shouldn’t be priced below 5k. | ||||
| Caleb Foster | DUKE | HOF | 4600 | 14.86 |
| Caleb Foster moved into Duke’s starting lineup last game with Tyrese Proctor out. It appears Proctor is unlikely to play again tonight, so expect Foster to get another start. He has 20 and 15 DK in these past two games with Proctor out while playing 36 and 29 minutes. The talented freshman has been a risky DFS play this year, but his role and playing time are more solidified in Proctor’s absence. Jared McCain and Jaylen Blakes are other GPP values to consider from Duke tonight. | ||||
| MJ Rice | NCST | TN-MA | 3800 | 18.5 |
| After being out to begin the season due to personal reasons, MJ Rice finally made his season debut last game. He played just 10 minutes off the bench but was very efficient in the limited playing time with 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 18 DK points. Rice was expected to play a key role for NC State this year after transferring from Kansas, so we’ll see if his minutes increase moving forward. For tonight, he’s a GPP upside value in this high-scoring matchup and he can clearly produce even in a small amount of minutes. If he starts, then he's a lock play. | ||||
CBB DFS Top Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Kyle Filipowski | DUKE | HOF | 10000 | 38.22 |
| If Duke is on the slate, then Kyle Filipowski will always be a top overall DFS play. He continues to operate in a high-usage role in Duke’s offense and has legit 45-50 DK upside at his best. Even his “floor” game is about 30 DK points – like last game when he only scored 5 points but still returned 30 DK due to his overall production. Filipowski is expensive, but he owns arguably the best floor/ceiling DFS combo on the slate tonight. | ||||
| Julian Reese | UMD | ALC | 9700 | 36.17 |
| Julian Reese is now at a season-high price after going off for 24 points, 15 rebounds, and 48 DK last game vs Penn State. The Terps’ big man has been a stud lately with 48+ DK in three of the last four games while averaging 18.8 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 44 DK in this recent five-game stretch. Reese tends to dominate against undersized and weaker frontcourts, which he’ll face tonight vs Alcorn State. He’s an upside GPP play at this elevated salary. | ||||
| DJ Burns Jr. | NCST | TN-MA | 7400 | 24.88 |
| In this fast-paced, high-scoring matchup, DJ Burns brings in plenty of GPP upside at his best. The NC State big man can easily put up 30+ DK points when he’s dominating inside offensively. Burns does carry risk because of his potential foul trouble, which hinders his cash floor. The GPP ceiling is there, though, and he’s shown it in some of NC State’s high-total games already this year. He’s risky for cash but can smash the slate in GPP lineups. | ||||
| Jonas Aidoo | TENN | GSU | 7000 | 25.89 |
| First off, rostering any Tennessee players (especially the starters) is very risky tonight with the Vols favored by 30+ points. Even so, Jonas Aidoo offers some GPP upside at his best. The big man has gone off for 30+ DK in three of the last four games and should have success against a bottom-tier team like Georgia Southern. In the season opener against a team on the same caliber, Aidoo had 27 DK but only played 18 minutes in a blowout win. Temper expectations because of the blowout risk, but don’t cross him off because it’s a very tasty matchup. | ||||
| Jacob Crews | TN-MA | NCST | 6500 | 34.15 |
| Though UT Martin is a sizable underdog tonight at NC State, there are still some viable plays on that side of this high-scoring, uptempo matchup. Jacob Crews should not be ignored here as he’s averaging 16.7 PPG, 9.0 RPG, and 34 DK this season in a higher-usage role for UT Martin. The power forward has at least 32 DK in eight of 10 games this year with heavy shot volume and plenty of rebounding. People may look past him because he’s playing for a big dog, but this price tag is cheap compared to his proven production so far. | ||||
| Yvan Ouedraogo | CALBA | ORE | 6400 | 25.25 |
| If you want contrarian GPP exposure to the late-night tip, then Yvan Ouedraogo is your guy. The big man has the upside to post a double-double and 30+ DK at his best. Though a road matchup at Oregon is a tough one, Ouedraogo might have the upper-hand here. Oregon’s frontcourt depth and talent has taken a hit with N’Faly Dante and Nate Bittle both out, and Ouedraogo could easily pop off if he’s assertive in the paint on both ends. | ||||
CBB DFS Value Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Issa Muhammad | TN-MA | NCST | 5500 | 28.22 |
| If you want cheap exposure to the highest total of the slate, Issa Muhammad is a decent value to consider in all formats. The UT Martin big man is averaging 11.2 PPG, 8.9 RPG, and 28 DK this season and that production would make him underpriced in the mid-5k price range here. The tougher matchup vs NC State should temper our expectations, but Muhammad can exceed value in GPPs if he stays out of foul trouble vs DJ Burns. Even against Miss St earlier this year, he had 22 DK in the tougher road spot. | ||||
| Ismael Massoud | GU | COP | 5500 | 29.67 |
| After being sidelined to begin the season, Ismael Massoud is now back and a big part of Georgetown’s lineup. The Kansas St transfer has logged 30+ minutes in all three games played and he just joined the starting lineup last game. Massoud has put up 22, 42, and 24 DK in his three games so far while averaging 10.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 4.0 blocks/steals per game. He’s a top value in all formats at this mid-5k salary and should be priced higher moving forward. | ||||
| Joshua Ola-Joseph | MINN | IUP | 5200 | 16.48 |
| Dawson Garcia and Pharrel Payne are both likely out tonight, so Joshua Ola-Joseph will continue playing a bigger role in Minnesota’s frontcourt. He’s scored 15 and 17 points with 25 and 24 DK, respectively, in the past two games with his teammates sidelined. Ola-Joseph was previously a GPP value without a defined role in the Gophers’ offense. With Garcia and Payne out, though, he’s entered cash value territory – especially in this easy home matchup. | ||||
| Mohamed Diarra | NCST | TN-MA | 5200 | 16.53 |
| Mohamed Diarra has some major boom-or-bust GPP potential tonight in this high-scoring, fast-paced matchup. The NC State big man recently moved to the bench, but he’s now in a high-usage role as a reserve. In the past two games, Diarra has 34 and 19 DK despite not starting. His playing time has fluctuated a ton this year, but he’s shown the 30+ DK upside when he’s dominating the paint on both ends. Diarra is impossible to trust in cash, but the GPP ceiling would smash his low-5k price. | ||||
| Parker Fox | MINN | IUP | 4100 | 9.6 |
| We broke down Joshua Ola-Joseph as the safer Minnesota value above, but Parker Fox is a GPP dart worth considering with Dawson Garcia and Pharrel Payne both likely out tonight. Fox stepped into a season-high 23 minutes last game with those guys sidelined. In the expanded playing time, the senior big put up 22 DK with 6 points, 7 rebounds, and decent ancillary stats. He’s a risky value, but Fox should see more time at center with his teammates out. | ||||
| Tobe Awaka | TENN | GSU | 3900 | 10.78 |
| While most of Tennessee’s top players are risky in this blowout win, Tobe Awaka is one backup who could benefit from the game script. The reserve center recently had 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 21 DK in a double-digit win vs George Mason and he had 22 DK in an earlier-season big win vs Wofford. It’s a risky GPP value dart because Awaka only plays 15-20 minutes at most – but that playing time could be on the higher end with Tennessee winning by a lot in the second half. | ||||
