TOP GUARDS

Alonzo Verge (Nebraska) Opp CRE ($7.7K DK/7.5K FD)

Arizona State transfer has had a dynamic start to the season. With a 37% usage rate he is averaging 18 shots a game to go along with a 19.5 scoring average. That’s not all since Verge has been a peripheral monster- he collected 13 rebounds in Nebraska’s first game and is an elite passer. One of the highest ceilings on the slate makes Verge a play in all formats tonight.

Trevor Keels (Duke) Opp GWB ($6.7K DK/7.3K FD)

One of the best freshmen in the country is second on the team in usage (24%) and minutes (33.7) plus leads the Blue Devils with five 3-point attempts per game. He is averaging 28.9 DKFP and should see that total rise tonight as he becomes even more of a factor with fellow freshman Paolo Banchero possibly out after getting arrested last night.

Jaden Ivey (Purdue) Opp WRIGH ($7.4K DK/7.4 FD)

Ivey is an explosive shooting guard and if he gets a clear lane to the hoop or an opening in transition, he will jam it home. He is coming off career highs of 27 points and eight rebounds against Indiana State where he also added a team-high four assists and two steals. This is a guy that gets a ton of minutes and will continue to stuff the stat sheet tonight against Wright State.

Bryce McGowens (Nebraska) Opp CRE ($6.0K DK/$7.7K FD)

54 points from the freshman in his first two games and may be a sneak play tonight against Creighton with all the attention going to Verge on the court. McGowens just picked up the first Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors as he set a school record for most points in a freshman debut with 25 against Western Illinois and led the conference with 27.0 points on the week.

Other Top Guards to Consider:

  • Alex O’Connell (Creighton) $6.2K DK/6.9 FD
  • Alex Barcello (BYU) $8.0K DK
  • Caleb Love (UNC) $8.3K DK
  • Kadary Richmond (SH) $6.8K DK/6.6 FD
  • Marus Sasser (HOU) $7.2K DK/8.4 FD
  • DeVante Jones (MICH) $9.6K DK/6.4K FD

TOP VALUE GUARDS

Ryan Nembhard (Creighton) Opp @NEB ($4.2K DK/5.4K FD)

The heralded freshman averaged 13 points, 6.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 55% in Creighton’s first two games of the season. He was the first Bluejay in more than 40 years averaging 36.5 minutes per game with a 31.7 DKFP average and is only $4.2K on DK? Lock him in as top guard value.

RJ Davis (North Carolina) Opp @COFC ($5.5K DK)

Second-year shooting guard Davis figures to be a difference maker this year for the Tar Heels and after a clunker of an opening game he exploded with a career night against Brown. He led UNC in scoring with 26 points going 9-for-17 from the field and 6-for-9 from three- with a couple of those threes down the stretch were game changers. Solid price of $5,500 tonight.

Tim Finke (Wright State) Opp @PUR ($4.9K DK/5.6 FD)

Redshirt sophomore Finke is an aggressive rebounder and is averaging nearly a double-double after pulling down a game high 11 rebounds against Marshall on Friday night. He is averaging over 30 minutes a game with a 29.9 DKFP average and comes in as a decent value tonight against Purdue.

Other Value Guards to Consider:

  • Dimitrius Underwood (COFC) $4.2K DK
  • Yuri Collins (STL) $4.7K DK/7.4K FD
  • Lance Terry (GWB) $4.6K DK/5.2K FD
  • Isaiah Thompson (PUR) $3.6K /4.6K FD
  • Trey Alexander (CRE) $3.1K DK/3.5K FD
  • Earl Timberlake (MEM) $3.6K DK/5.7K FD

TOP FORWARDS

Wendell Moore (Duke) Opp GWB ($8.2K DK/$7.9K FD

Moore stole the show last Friday with a triple-double against Army. He was everywhere and ended the night with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for what was only the 10th triple double in Duke history. He’s off to a hot start after a disappointing sophomore campaign because he is putting his two strengths to work for him – playmaking ability and a knack for scoring from anywhere. With Paolo Banchero doubtful to play tonight Moore gets a little up and is the top overall forward on the slate.

Brady Manek (North Carolina) Opp @COFC ($6.6K FD)

The Tar Heels have the highest implied total of the night and Manek give you a nice affordable piece of the team at only $6,600. Hubert Davis calls Manek “the best shooting big in the country” and Manek is still looking to find his stroke. If he puts it together tonight- along with his 30+ minutes and team leading 27% usage we could see a huge fantasy game from the Oklahoma transfer.

John Meeks (College of Charleston) Opp UNC ($6.5K DK)

Charleston is led by Meeks, an offensively versatile transfer from Bucknell who is always a matchup problem. He is the team leader in usage (23%) and is the only player scoring double digit points while averaging 34.6 DKFP a game. Sneaky play in a high pace game that is looking at a game total of 162.5 points.

Ryan Hawkins (Creighton) Opp @NEB ($6.5K DK/5.8K FF)

Northwest Missouri State transfer is a big presence in the paint and is averaging 13.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists a game. Nebraska will be forced to play a physical game to keep Hawkins in check and he may have the Huskers worn out by the ending buzzer walking away with a double-double tonight.

Other Top Forwards to Consider:

  • Armando Bacot (UNC) $8.7K DK (Bacot or Wendell Moore should be Forward anchors to lineups)
  • Grant Basile (WRIGH) $7.0K DL/7.5 FD
  • Hunter Dickinson (Michigan) $8.9K DK/7.5 FD
  • Quincy Guerrier (ORE) $7.4K DK
  • Jayden Gardner (UV) $7.9K DK/7.1 FD
  • Dawson Garcia (UNC) $7.8K DK

TOP FORWARD VALUES

Emoni Bates (Memphis) Opp STL ($5.0K DK/$7.2K FD)

Bates is a complete stud. The 5-Star freshman that is leading the team in scoring and second in fantasy points per game. $5,000 on DK is a steal for the talent, team total and matchup. Don’t over think this one- lock Bates in as the top value on the slate.

Jalen Duran (MEM) Opp STL ($5.5K DK/7.6K FD)

Another 5-Star freshman that should be a matchup problem tonight as he takes his 6’11” frame against St. Louis. He has taken 13 shots on the season and has only missed three plus has dominated the inside with 16 rebounds and eight blocks. He’s the teams second leading scorer behind Bates but is averaging five more fantasy points a game (31.5 DKFP) due to his peripheral numbers.

Zach Edey (Purdue) Opp WRIGH ($5.3K DK/7.8K FD)

Edey is off to an awesome start with 38 points, 19 rebounds and four blocked shots in 38 minutes of play over the first two games. It’s going to be a fast-paced game, but you can’t ignore the numbers – best point per dollar player on the slate so far this season.

Other Forward Values to Consider:

  • Dimitrius Underwood G/F (COFC) $4.2K DK
  • Caleb Furst (PUR) $3.8K DK/5.2K FD Top DK Value Punt
