Marcus CarrUTGONZ780020.25770018.10
The Minnesota transfer is now the primary playmaker for Texas and he should be busy offensively in this high-scoring matchup vs. Gonzaga. In the season opener, Carr was the Longhorns’ lead ball-handler while running the point and put up a balanced stat line in the blowout win. We can expect much more than the 20 DK points he had vs. Houston Baptist because Texas will need his scoring and distributing in a closer game. Carr makes for an excellent cash stud at guard.
Trevor KeelsDUKECAMP650036.25790034.70
In the opener vs. Kentucky, the true freshman put on a clinic offensively with his 25 real points and 36 DK points. If Paolo Banchero wasn’t on this team, then Keels would be Duke’s alpha on offense as he plays like a fullback in a basketball jersey. Even so, he’ll likely be the 1B to Banchero all season but will be leaned on at times as a pure bucket-getter. He presents some big DFS upside against lesser opponents like Campbell, like when he put up 29 DK points last night against Army.
Boogie EllisUSCTEMP640027.5680026.00
After being more of a role player at Memphis last season, Ellis is now one of USC’s offensive catalysts following his offseason transfer. The combo guard led the Trojans’ starters in shots share in the opener while scoring 20 real points on 11 shot attempts. Expect him to be plenty involved on the offensive end in a closer game vs. Temple tonight.

Other Top Guards to Consider:

  • Hyunjung Lee -- Davidson ($8,100 FD Only)
  • Rasir Bolton -- Gonzaga ($7,100 DK / $5,700 FD)
  • Bryce Hamilton -- UNLV ($7,000 DK Only)

Andrew NembhardGONZUT600012.75550011.10
With Jalen Suggs and Joel Ayayi gone, Nembhard is expected to take on a bigger offensive role in Gonzaga’s backcourt this season. He wasn’t needed much in the opening blowout win vs. Dixie State but will be much more important in tonight’s tighter matchup vs. Texas. His price tags are a bit too cheap for what his DFS upside really is and this is a buy low opportunity for a guy that should be priced higher.
Courtney RameyUTGONZ590021.5550019.40
The Longhorns added a ton of transfer talent this offseason, headlined by Marcus Carr in the backcourt, but Ramey is still one of their better scorers. The senior led Texas in shots share in the opening blowout win and scored an efficient 14 real points on only seven shots. In a closer matchup tonight vs. Gonzaga, we can bank on Ramey being more involved on the offensive end. The way to target against the Zags in DFS is with opposing guards and all of Ramey, Carr and Andrew Jones should return value on this slate.
Ethan AndersonUSCTEMP480012.25430011.60
Anderson was a regular starter for USC two years ago and then mostly came off the bench last season after dealing with an early injury. He’s now back amongst the Trojans’ starters with Tahj Eaddy gone and he forms a nice 1-2 punch with Boogie Ellis in the backcourt. Though he only put up 12 DK points in the opener, Anderson’s minutes and offensive role were limited due to the blowout nature of the game. Expect him to log close to 30 minutes with enough ancillary stat production to return value tonight.

Other Value Guards to Consider:

  • Andrew Jones -- Texas ($5,000 DK / $5,800 FD)
  • Cedric Henderson Jr. -- Campbell ($4,800 DK / $5,200 FD)
  • Kario Oquendo -- Georgia ($4,400 DK / $4,100 FD)
  • John Newman III -- Cincinnati ($3,300 DK / $4,000 FD)

Chet HolmgrenGONZUT920052.25830047.60
Though it’s only one game and it came against Dixie State, the freshman unicorn lived up to the hype in the opener with his crazy stat line of 14 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and seven blocks for a whopping 52 DK points. While we can’t expect that type of production against a tougher opponent tonight, Holmgren will be a force on both ends of the floor and has a massive size advantage over Texas’ undersized frontcourt. It’ll be hard to avoid him in cash tonight.
Paolo BancheroDUKECAMP900034.25850033.40
Whether it’s been against a tougher opponent like Kentucky or a soft matchup like Army, the true freshman has looked every bit of the top NBA Draft prospect that he is. Banchero had 22 real points and 34 DK in the opener and then 18 real points, 12 rebounds and 38 DK last night. He’s a polished scorer and is miles ahead talent-wise against this Campbell squad tonight. Obviously there’s blowout potential here, but Banchero should do enough while he’s in there to anchor your cash lineup with Holmgren.
Isaiah MobleyUSCTEMP760034.75760032.30
With his brother Evan gone to the NBA, the elder Isaiah is now a top offensive option for USC this season. In the opener, he put up 34 DK points on 15 points and nine boards while stuffing the stat sheet all over. Even though Temple presents a tougher matchup tonight, expect Mobley to do plenty on both ends of the court as the Trojans’ best all-around player. He’s more of a GPP play due to the presence of Holmgren and Banchero on this slate.

Other Top Forwards to Consider:

  • Royce Hamm Jr. -- UNLV ($7,900 DK Only)
  • Drew Timme -- Gonzaga ($7,000 DK / $8,000 FD)
  • Sam Mennenga -- Davidson ($6,300 FD Only)

Anton WatsonGONZUT530027.75540026.10
Despite coming off the bench in the opener, Watson stuffed the stat sheet in nearly every category to return 27 DK points in only 18 minutes of action. Obviously things get tougher against Texas tonight, but this is what Watson does. He was a super-sub for the Zags down the stretch last season and was quietly one of the best defenders in the country. He’ll likely log starter-level minutes against Texas’ versatile rotation here and do enough on both ends to be a solid cash value.
Braelen BridgesUGACINCY520023.5540022.60
It remains to be seen what type of role Bridges settles in with Georgia. The big-bodied 6-foot-11 center saw some heavy usage in limited minutes off the bench for Illinois-Chicago last season, but he started at the five for UGA in their opener. In the game, he had 23 DK points in 31 minutes with his nine points, eight boards and two assists. While he’s not a top offensive option for the Bulldogs right now, he should do enough around the rim to return value with his rebounding and easy put-backs.
Grant AnticevichCALUNLV430012.5
Back for a fifth season with Cal, the power forward is a bit too cheap on the DK slate for being a regular starter who’ll likely log 30+ minutes tonight. Though he’s not a top offensive option for the Golden Bears, we know Anticevich will be out there for the majority of the game and have enough opportunity for ancillary stats - especially with the team running a tight rotation while dealing with multiple absences right now. In terms of trustworthy values at sub-5k, Anticevich is one of the safest in this range.
