Top Guards

| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG | |
| AJ Green | UNI | VER | 8600 | 37.42 | |||
| Green has been a stud for Northern Iowa for a few years now and is one of the best pure scorers at the mid-major level. In the opener, he inexplicably shot 1-for-14 from the field and 0-for-7 from three-point range - but we should expect Green to bounce back from that ugly performance because of his proven track record. The dud outing was likely because it was his first game back from last year’s hip surgery. On DK, he’s a solid cash or GPP play. | |||||||
| Eric Ayala | UMD | GW | 8100 | 26.48 | 6500 | 27.60 | |
| Maryland’s backcourt duo of Ayala and Fatts Russell are both in play tonight in an easy matchup against George Washington. If we’re comparing prices for similar production, Ayala gets the slight bump - especially as the cheaper option on DK. For a guard, the senior rebounds very well as he grabbed eight boards in the season opener and 10 in the preseason exhibition. That safer floor is clutch in cash when you add in everything else he does offensively. | |||||||
| Aljami Durham | PROV | SCH | 7200 | 20.38 | 5900 | 23.10 | |
| After transferring over from Indiana this summer, Durham is clearly ready to step right into the void left by David Duke in Providence’s offense. He scored 18 points in the opener, led the team in offensive usage rate and was aggressive enough around the rim en route to 12 free throw attempts. This could be a nightly occurrence for a guy who showed scoring flashes in recent seasons competing in the Big Ten. He’s a better bargain on FanDuel but a great play overall on both sites. | |||||||
Other Top Guards to Consider:
Fatts Russell -- Maryland ($8,900 DK / $6,000 FD)
A.J. Reeves -- Providence ($7,800 DK / $5,300 FD)
Ben Shungu -- Vermont ($6,000 DK Only)

| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG | |
| Jared Bynum | PROV | SCH | 5500 | 15.31 | 4700 | 18.39 | |
| Bynum is still too cheap considering he’s the starting point guard for Providence. In the opener, the junior had eight points, four assists, two boards and two steals to return enough DFS value if you played him on that slate. Expect him to put up stats in every category to be a safe cash value as long as the sites continue to price him this cheap. | |||||||
| Hakim Hart | UMD | GW | 4400 | 16.26 | 4800 | 18.70 | |
| Another starter priced in the 5k range or cheaper? Yep, that’s what we have in Hart here. The lengthy guard only scored two real points in the season opener but had six rebounds, three assists and three steals to return plenty of DFS value. Expect a similar stat line tonight as one of the glue guys in Maryland’s rotation who isn’t asked to do a ton offensively as long as he does the little things ancillary stat-wise. | |||||||
| Alex Watson | SCH | PROV | 3800 | 15.61 | 5200 | 24.30 | |
| The Sacred Heart players shouldn’t go overlooked on this slate because they’ll be playing in the highest total of the night, despite being underdogs. Watson is priced appropriately on FD but he’s way too cheap on DK for being a starting guard. In the opener, the senior had 16 points, five assists and four rebounds while going 4-for-6 from three-point range. He won’t have to do much to return value at sub-4k on DK. | |||||||
Other Value Guards to Consider:
Luther Muhammad -- Arizona State ($5,600 DK / $5,300 FD)
Robin Duncan -- Vermont ($4,800 DK Only)
Zyon Pullin -- UC Riverside ($3,800 DK / $4,900 FD)
Top Forwards

| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG | |
| Nate Watson | PROV | SCH | 8400 | 28.47 | 7800 | 38.20 | |
| Watson was dominant in the Friars’ season opener with 22 points, six rebounds, four blocks and 38 FD points. He presents a big mismatch against mid-major programs and that’ll continue against Sacred Heart’s smaller frontcourt without anyone to slow him down in the paint. Expect Watson to be popular in cash on this short slate with one of the best floor/ceiling combos. | |||||||
| Qudus Wahab | UMD | GW | 7900 | 26.62 | 7000 | 30.20 | |
| Just like Watson, the Terps’ center is another guy who should have his way on both ends against smaller mid-major frontcourts. Wahab had 17 points, six rebounds, two blocks and 30 FD points in only 17 points vs. Quinnipiac on Tuesday and could post a similar stat line or better vs. GW tonight. He’s more of a GPP play, though, because of the similar price to Watson. | |||||||
| Kimani Lawrence | ASU | UCR | 6300 | 17.49 | 6100 | 37.00 | |
| In case you missed it, Lawrence went off on Tuesday with a 19-point double-double and 37 FD points. The fifth-year senior has shown flashes throughout his career at ASU but has been a bit inconsistent game-to-game. The talent is there, though, and he can easily dominate UC Riverside like he did against Portland last game - despite Marcus Bagley’s presence on the wing and in the paint. He could be popular with people rather going Lawrence over Bagley for a bit cheaper on both sites. | |||||||
Other Top Forwards to Consider:
Donta Scott -- Maryland ($7,600 DK / $5,200 FD)
Noah Horchler -- Providence ($7,400 DK / $6,300 FD)
Marcus Bagley -- Arizona State ($7,000 DK / $6,400 FD)
Ryan Davis -- Vermont ($6,400 DK Only)

| Ricky Lindo Jr. | GW | UMD | 4900 | 32.46 | 5600 | 42.80 | |
| Revenge game! The former Maryland transfer will be playing back in his old stadium for the first time in a couple seasons and does so as one of GW’s better players. After missing most of last year, he was arguably the team’s best all-around player over the final seven games. Then in Tuesday’s opener, he began the year with 17 points, nine rebounds, six blocks and three steals for a whopping 42 FD points. Even half that production would be a value at these prices. | |||||||
| Alonzo Gaffney | ASU | UCR | 5000 | 0 | 5300 | 26.10 | |
| We’ll have to monitor Arizona State’s COVID situation, but Gaffney could be a solid value if he gets the start again. The former Ohio State transfer started the opener with Jalen Graham out due to COVID protocols and he put up 15 real points and 26 FD points with more playing time than originally expected. Unfortunately this is the late game, but Gaffney is a nice salary-saver if he’s starting. | |||||||
| Isaiah Powell | VER | UNI | 3400 | 17.03 | |||
| On the DK slate, much of Vermont’s rotation is affordable and we can bank on the starters playing more in what should be a one-possession game throughout. Powell, specifically, is way too cheap at sub-4k. The senior was a regular starter last season and is expected to man the power forward spot again this year. He scored 19 points in an exhibition already and will surely be logging enough minutes to return value with ancillary stats - no matter what he does scoring-wise. | |||||||

Ricky Lindo Jr. -- George Washington ($4,900)
