Welcome to the DFS Playbook for Week 1.

It's been quite the ride this week, hasn't it? The Thursday night game was just as we expected it to be -- sloppy, penalty-ridden and low-scoring. This is what happens when you don't have your starters tune-up with at least one full preseason game. We had almost as many penalties than we did points and I expect a number of players to struggle Sunday as well. Some of the match-ups stand out more than others, but there are still plenty of unknowns. Either way, we have to plow through and do everything we can to find the best possible players to use. Hopefully you've read through the Watch List and its updates as well as all the positional coaches and added tools such as the WR/CB match-up article. You should also be looking through the work in the Fantasy Alarm Draft Guide. This is where it can help you in-season as well as in drafts. The Coaching Systems piece should be bookmarked for reference as well as a number of others to help guide you.

In the meantime, I've been hard at work all week sifting through the data, the match-up histories and, of course, the weather. We got off to a great start last season and I expect us to do even better this year. So buckle up and start reading.
