Pernell McPhee Headshot

McPhee (shoulder) was on the field for OTAs on Tuesday, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Added Yesterday 6:18 pm (EST)
McPhee is working his way back from surgery on his torn left labrum that he underwent at the beginning of the offseason. The linebacker missed seven games last season due knee and shoulder ailments but his presence on the field Tuesday is clearly a reassuring sign for the Bears defense, as they are dealing with plenty of question marks at the position to start OTAs with both Danny Trevathan (knee) and Willie Young (knee) absence from the field.
Jeremy Zuttah Headshot

Zuttah aggravated a leg injury during OTAs on Tuesday, Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group reports.

Added Yesterday 5:59 pm (EST)
Zuttah has been dealing with a soft-tissue injury that forced him to miss time during voluntary minicamp in April, per Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area. The 49ers will likely err on the side of caution when it comes to addressing their new offensive lineman's condition, making sure he's completely healthy for the beginning of the season. However, it will be something to keep an eye on throughout the summer as Zuttah aims to secure the starting center role.
David Quessenberry Headshot

Quessenberry (illness) returned to practice this week, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Added Yesterday 5:41 pm (EST)
Quessenberry rejoined his teammates after a three-year battle with cancer. While he's still not in game shape, for good reason, the offensive lineman has been making progress. Quessenberry noted, "We're in unchartered territory. But I feel great and it will be very soon where I can play." Look for more updates to come as training camp nears.
Matt Paradis Headshot

Paradis will be out until August recovering from hip surgery, Cameron Wolfe of The Denver Post reports.

Added Yesterday 5:26 pm (EST)
Paradis had two surgeries on his left hip following the 2016 season and is expected to miss the entirety of training camp while recovering. The 27-year-old center has proven to be more than durable as he has yet to miss a start for the Broncos over the past two years. Look for more updates on his status to come throughout the summer as the preseason nears.
Jordan Matthews Headshot

Matthews is still recovering from the ankle injury he suffered in late November, Zach Berman of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Added Yesterday 3:49 pm (EST)
Matthews was able to participate in OTAs on Tuesday, but he's still not quite at 100 percent. The ankle injury kept him sidelined for two of the Eagles' last five regular-season contests, so he'll look to avoid any setbacks throughout the remainder of the offseason. He's slated to be positioned primarily in the slot this year, with Alshon Jeffery and Torry Smith on the outside.
Quinten Rollins Headshot

Rollins underwent groin surgery at the end of last season, Michael Cohen of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Added Yesterday 3:35 pm (EST)
Rollins' surgery doesn't appear to have any major lasting effect on his availability at the current time. Rollins was also notably dealing with concussion-like symptoms at the end of last season's playoff run. Assuming he suffers no setbacks in either regard, Rollins should be good a full go for offseason work.
Kevin Johnson Headshot

Johnson (foot) was sidelined during Tuesday's practice, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Added Yesterday 3:15 pm (EST)
Johnson is close to a full recovery, but given how early it is in the offseason program, the Texans don't feel the need to rush him back onto the field just yet. The expectation is that Johnson will be back in action by the end of the week. Johnson figures to be an important piece of the puzzle defensively this season.
K.J. Dillon Headshot

Dillon (knee) was held out of practice Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Added Yesterday 3:07 pm (EST)
Dillon has been rehabbing from the torn ACL that he suffered last season. The team appears to be reluctant to throw him back in the fire just yet. With four months still between now and the regular season, the Texans will likely ease Dillon back into the swing of things.
