Just as a reminder to everyone, we are providing additional NHL coverage this season, but we will not be providing content for slates that are less than 3 games and on Sundays. I know I’ve said this before, but I know it’s something that can slip by, so I just want to make sure that everyone is aware of the game plan this season.

Keep in mind, you can always follow me on Twitter @kle18, Brett on Twitter @TheRealTAL, and the newest member of the Fantasy Alarm NHL Team, Chris Wassel on Twitter @ChrisWasselDFS. We all try to be accessible to all subscribers throughout the season, and I will even be willing to answer PMs via the Fantasy Alarm Forums when time permits.

As for tonight, we have a big 11-game slate tonight with only the Flyers and Flames playing their second game in as many nights. A lot of good matchups that we’re going to exploit, so Playbook PRO subscribers, be sure to read all of the breakdowns in the playbook to get the best read on a certain player. But with that said, I take value inconsideration when I’m making plays. For instance, I am not recommending Evgeni Malkin tonight. Do I think that Pavel Zacha is a better player than Evgeni Malkin? No. Do I think that Pavel Zacha will score more Fantasy Points than Evgeni Malkin tonight? No. Do I think Pavel Zacha will have more Fantasy Points per dollar spent than Malkin? Yes, I do. With 11 games to work with, there are some very good options that I won’t mention in the Playbook.

Additionally, as you may have noticed, I am providing more and more game stacks for PRO subscribers this season. Our new system allows for multiple lines to be stacked in a particular game, so please be aware of it (no, you can’t stack an entire team, each site has it’s maximums).

The stacks are absolutely recommended for GPP lineups. If you are playing a 50/50, double up, or head-to-head matchup, I generally do not recommend playing more than two players from a line on bigger slates, but will usually be willing to add more players on shorter slates. The variance in NHL is huge, and people just don’t seem to understand that. The most obvious recent example of this variance is from Saturday night when our first 6 goal O/U game between Columbus/Dallas ended up being a terrible DFS game, and all of the big players stunk it up.
