It's been a very good start to the 2016 NFL regular season. Yes, we had that FanDuel lineup nightmare in week one in which three players couldn't overcome an eight point gap but other than that we are right where we expect to be. This week is shaping up to be a tough one though. There are so many injuries from last week that we have to contend with and few of the teams have done us any favors in illustrating exactly what their plans are without those players. So, it is going to take a lot of risk to put together winning lineups this week which is something we are not at all afraid of here.

The Monday night game is going to be the highest scoring of the week but the majority of big money tournaments are now ignoring Monday night's which complicate matters even more. The games that will be most invested in this week include the Chargers/Colts, Lions/Packers and even the Steelers/Eagles. Some will think that they are being sneaky by going with Ravens/Jaguars also but that won't be fooling anybody this week. As we march further into the season I really like to take some chances with teams and players that are coming off a disappointing week. The ownership is usually much lower than normal and you get a deflated price on them as well. Players that fit this mold this week include Eli Manning, Todd Gurley, Randall Cobb and Dwayne Allen.

Also, as we continue on into the season you will begin to notice me using more and more statistics and analytics in referencing the players to use each week. You'll see terms such as DVOA (defensive value over average), PFF rush/pass (Pro Football Focus) and POP (pace of play). I'll try and keep these abbreviations updated as I roll them out each week but in case you have any questions you can always post a note in our forums or tweet me @Jeff_Mans).
