2022 Player Outlook

While Matt Corral made drastic improvements to his game when Lane Kiffin came to town, it was his final season that he really refined his game. He went from throwing 14 interceptions in 10 games in 2020 to just five in 13 in 2021. Ole Miss' heavy RPO scheme subjected Corral to injuries, but he managed to play through them until the last game of the season where he suffered a high ankle sprain that kept him out of the combine. If Carolina doesn't trade for a quarterback and Darnold is....well, Darnold, again this year, Corral could see some playing time before the end of the season. If you have a deep bench, he may be worth a stash, but otherwise, leave him on waivers until he gets a chance to start.
