NHL Stanley Cup Final Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 6/17

Hello and welcome, everyone, to the Stanley Cup Final on this Tuesday, June 17th, 2025, betting edition! Wagering on the Cup games is always bittersweet as it’s the pinnacle of the sport, but it means the season is coming to an end, and what a great year it was for me betting on hockey.Â
Game 5 was a big win for the Panthers on the road as they are now on the cusp of winning the Stanley Cup yet again! Lifting the trophy at home would be so much sweeter, too, but I think the Oilers fight like they never have tonight, and we will witness an incredible game. Below is my favorite wager for this game, so enjoy watching it and let’s win!

Panthers vs. Oilers Predictions, Game 6
The Stanley Cup will be in the building tonight in Florida as the Panthers will look to go back-to-back as the Champions of the NHL here in Game 6! Can they finish the job, or will Connor McDavid stave off elimination? Let’s dig into my favorite wager in what could be the final game of the NHL season!
The Panthers and Oilers, for all the stats on the surface, have played a tight series by the analytics, but one thing that is true is that the Panthers' power play is destroying the Oilers' penalty kill, and that’s made things lopsided. If the Oilers can play at even strength, they’ve got a shot, as their expected goals numbers have mirrored or even surpassed the Panthers in some games of the series.Â
Then there’s the goaltenders tonight, where Sergei Bobrovsky has certainly been more consistent, he’s hardly been a brick wall, allowing 16 goals over 5 games in the series, but still, he has had the upper hand over Stuart Skinner and Calvin Pickard, who was garbage in Game 5. The Oilers will again turn to Skinner tonight, and for what it's worth in Games 5-7 over the past 2 years, he is 14-1 with a GAA of 1.56 and a SV% of .937. That run also includes 3 shutouts, so I think we get a determined Skinner in the cage tonight.Â
When this series began, I said it would go to 7 games, and I still feel that way. The hostile environment in Florida will be tough to play against, but McDavid is the best in the world, and it's in moments like this that the great ones take center stage. Oilers on the Money Line tonight with no hesitation! Â
Pick: Oilers Money Line (+135 on Caesars)
