Welcome to the weekly wide receiver/cornerback breakdown! We will review each of the outside matchups, as well as my 10 favorite matchups in the slot. Then, below the charts in this article, I break down my elite, affordable, and bargain. It is the final week of the regular season, and this should be mostly a DFS show now. Don’t worry, we have you covered in all formats if this is your championship week. This article is critical for daily players and season long, as this will help you gain a competitive advantage when setting your lineups. Follow me on Twitter (@fightingchance) as well!

Left Wide Receivers vs. Right Cornerbacks
Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Christian KirkARISidney JonesSEA

He has been the one to take the most advantage of DeAndre Hopkins injury as he has nine or more targets in three straight weeks and has 75+ yards in three of the last four games. He had just two catches for 25 yards in the first game against Seattle, but Kirk has a larger role now, and the Seahawks secondary is falling apart down the stretch. If you are somehow still playing a seasonal league I like Kirk and can see him as a GPP option as he likely won't get much usage, but he is far from an elite choice.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Olamide ZaccheausATLMarshon LattimoreNO

He had two catches on Sunday for the third straight weeks, but was good for just eight yards. I'm not sure I would suggest Zaccheaus if he was playing a college team this week, but certainly not looking to use him against a tough Saints secondary in any sort of fantasy formats.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Marquise BrownBALJoe HadenPIT

Hollywood has been more like a small town boy in the last stretch as he hadsn't topped 55 yards or scored a touchdown since Week 9 after finishing with just 28 yards on Sunday. He did have five catches for 55 yards against the Steelers in Week 13, but the Ravens passing game hasn't been great this week and Lamar Jackson being out isn't helping. With one week left to go and it being mostly just a DFS week I would find another option with a higher ceiling than Brown.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Stefon DiggsBUFBryce HallNYJ

The conditions that Buffalo has been playing in have not been good, and Josh Allen just never got on track against the lowly Falcons and Diggs finished with five catches for 59 yards. The Bills offense has been inconsistent and suddenly are running the ball really well. However, this is the Jets defense who have been a beating post for most of the season. Diggs had his best game of the year against New York in Week 10 with eight catches for 162 yards and a touchdown and while those numbers are hard to predict again, I am willing to look past Diggs disappointment last week and use him again in Week 18.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
D.J. MooreCARJamel DeanTB

He's still leading the team in targets by a good margin, but the Panthers offense has just been awful over the past couple of months and it has taken Moore far off the DFS radar. The Bucs secondary has been beatable in the second half of the season, but they won't be by this offense. Moore finished with just 29 yards on three catches and despite a lot of volume he just isn't worth it. If you happen to be in a seasonal championship you can run him out there and hope for the best, but we can't put Moore in our final week daily lineups.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Darnell MooneyCHIPatrick PetersonMIN

He had seven catches for 69 yards and a touchdown last week on 13 targets and he is the only receiver that you can consider on this roster. The problem is you never know if the Bears are going to show up as an offense. The Vikings secondary played pretty poorly against the Packers on Sunday night and he had five catches for 63 yards against Minnesota three weeks ago. Mooney remains an option because his DFS salary never seems to match his talent level, but he is more of a guy that to fill a roster at a cheaper option and not someone that you need to force into your DFS builds.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Tee HigginsCINDenzel WardCLE

After smashing in Week 16, Higgins let rookie Ja'Marr Chase have the fun in Week 17, but still finished with 62 yards on three catches against the Chiefs. Kansas City isn't a bad defense, so it isn't a surprise that he didn't absolutely crush it. He had six catches for 78 yards back in Week 9 against these Browns, and they haven't exactly been a stellar defense this season. Ward has had a fine season with just a 71.4 quarterback rating against for the season, but with no Joe Burrow and the chance that Higgins doesn't play a full game, I would certainly look in another direction for the season finale.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Donovan Peoples-JonesCLEChidobe AwuzieCIN

The guy has some skills, but he is a deep threat on a team that wants to run the ball a lot with a quarterback with a bum shoulder. Whether Mayfield plays or not is irrelevant, because Case Keenum doesn't have a strong arm either. DPJ had three catches for 76 yards, but only had five targets. He did have a long touchdown the first time they played the Bengals, but that was two months ago, and the Browns offense has seriously gotten worse since then. He could have a decent game, but this offense isn't scoring many points, so you almost have to hope for a big play and this isn't the team I want to be hoping for that from. I like his prospects for next season, but I'm not using him this week.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Amari CooperDALDarius SlayPHI

He scored for the second straight week and third time in four weeks, but Cooper had just three catches for 18 yards. The Cowboys offense hasn't been great lately outside of that game against Washingotn, and the Eagles are a pretty strong secondary. Cooper had just three catches for 26 yards against them in Week 4, and has topped 55 yardsjust once since the beginning of November. Michael Gallup being out helps him a little, but I still would go with CeeDee Lamb over Cooper if I am building a DFS lineup and want exposure to part of this team.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Courtland SuttonDENCharvarious WardKC

Even with Tim Patrick and Jerry Jeudy out, Sutton managed just three catches for 60 yards against a Denver defense that was ravaged by Covid and injuries. He hasn't scoreed since Week 6 and hasn't topped 50 receiving yards since Week 7. The Chiefs secondary was torched by the Bengals last week, but this Denver offense couldn't hold Cincinnati's jock. Sutton will finish the season where he has been most of the season, off the fantasy radar.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Josh ReynoldsDETJaire AlexanderGB

He missed last week due to Covid, and the week before he had just two catches for 36 yards, but Reynolds has made a nice impact since coming to the Lions. I mean he hasn't had huge games as the accolades have gone to Amon-Ra St. Brown. If you are still in your season long championship I could see throwing Reynolds into a flex spot against a Green Bay team with nothing to play for, but I won't be thinking about him in my DFS prep work.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Davante AdamsGBIfeatu MelifonwuDET

He had over 100 yards and a touchdown for the fifth time in six games on Sunday night against the Vikings. In fact, he has eight touchdowns in the last six weeks. However, the Packers have clinched the number one seed in the NFC playoffs and don't have anything to play for here. I would be surprised if Adams played the full game and with that as a factor you can't use this guy in the season's final week even though he has been one of the best in the league all season.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Brandin CooksHOUJanoris JenkinsTEN

He had another strong game with 66 yards on seven catches and a touchdown against the 49ers in Week 17, and Cooks is finishing the season strong. He does have a fairly easy matchup to finish the year in Tennessee, but they are fighting for the top seed in the AFC and he had just two catches for 18 yards against the in Week 11. However, that was with TyRod Taylor at quarterback, and the Texans haven't been horrific of late. Janoris Jenkins has allowed over 500 yards against him this season and I really like Cooks against a Titans team with a suspect secondary and the Texans looking to play spoiler to finish the season.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Michael PittmanINDTyson CampbellJAX

Pittman was decent but not great game as he had six catches for 47 yards against the Raiders. He hasn't scored since Week 9, but also has topped 75 yards just once since Week 8. He had five catches for 71 yards in Week 10 against these Jaguars, but Jacksonville's defense has been absolutely awful lately as they just got a 50 burger dropped on them by the Patriots last week. I know a bunch of that was on the ground, but Mac Jones had a strong game too. I like Pittman as a underused DFS option for the season's final week against perhaps the worst defense in football coming down the stretch.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Laquon TreadwellJAXXavier RhodesIND

He had his best game of the season with six catches for 87 yards in Week 17 against the Patriots. He has now topped 50 receiving yards in every game since Week 12, and continues to be a low priced option that gives you 12-15 fantasy points each and every week. Trevor Lawrence has been shockingly awful this season, but Treadwell still continues to get it done. The Colts have plenty to play for in the season's finale, but I still like Treadwell if you are in a fantasy championship and a lower priced DFS option.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Mecole HardmanKCKyle FullerDEN

He did have 53 yards in Week 17, but he had just one target the whole game so that tells you how involved he was in the offense. Hardman scored just once all season and that was the week that Travis Kelce was out of the lineup. He had just one catch for 12 yards in Week 13 against these Broncos and I don't see any reason why he is a bigger part of the attack in the season's final week. Hardman has no fantasy value as we say goodbye to the 2021 fantasy football regular season.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Odell BeckhamLAREmmanuel MoseleySF

He did have a touchdown, but Beckham had just 39 yards on five targets against a very depleted Ravens secondary in Week 17. The Rams offense has sputtered to the finish line and although Beckham has scored in five of the last six weeks, his production hasn't been huge. He has topped 40 yards just twice in the last six weeks. He had just two catches for 18 yards the first time against San Francisco, but he also hadn't been on the team long at that point. Beckham is far too volatile and inconsistent to ride your Week 18 lineups on him even though the Niners secondary isn't great by any stretch.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Mike WilliamsLACCasey HaywardLV

It wasn't his best game, but Williams did have a touchdown where he laid completely out to make the catch and finished with 63 yards on four targets. He has scored just twice since Week 5 and has turned very boom or bust after a strong start to the season. He had just one catch for 11 yards in Week 4 against these Raiders, and Casey Hayward has been a top ten corner in the league all season long. He has allowed just 56% of passes to be caught and one touchdown all season long. He does have six or more targets in six straight weeks before last Sunday but he has been a little too inconsistent for me to count on in the final week of the regular season in DFS contests.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Zay JonesLVMichael DavisLAC

He continued his strong play with eight catches for 120 yards in Week 17 against the Colts. You might not know the name, but Jones has been good over the past three weeks with six or more catches in all three games and five or more in five of the last six games. He still hasn't scored a touchdown, but he has been the most targeted receiver on the team. The Raiders are still fighting for that final playoff spot and will hope to get Darren Waller back for this game. If the tight end is able to return it will be him and Hunter Renfrow that will dominate targets. If Waller misses the final game of the season I like Jones again to get at least eight targets and get you 12-14 fantasy points in PPR formats.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
DeVante ParkerMIAJ.C. JacksonNE

After no targets in Week 16, Parker had 13 against the Titans, but it was good for just four catches and 46 yards in a blowout loss. The Miami passing game is hit or miss and more often than not misses in a big way. He has scored just twice all season and the Patriots secondary wasn't great last week, but they were so far ahead they weren't putting forth a full effort. New England allows less than 200 passing yards per game and I still trust Jaylen Waddles more than Parker. I would not put him in any fantasy starting lineups for the final week of the year.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Justin JeffersonMINJaylon JohnsonCHI

He was on a nice streak before it was brought to a halt with Sean Mannion at quarterback when Jefferson had six catches for 58 yards against the Packers. We are going to throw that game right out and go on the fact that Kirk Cousins will be back for the season finale. The Vikings have nothing to play for, but Jefferson will still want to have a great end to the season. He had four catches for 47 yards and a touchdown on ten targets against the Bears three weeks ago, and with Adam Thielen out, Jefferson will be even more of the focal point of the pass game. The Bears have allowed under 200 pass yards per game this season, but also 28 pass touchdowns in 16 games. Jefferson will be a top notch option for your Week 18 DFS lineups.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Kendrick BourneNEXavien HowardMIA

In an absolute blowout of the Jags, Bourne had five catches for 76 yards and two carries for 17 more yards. The Dolphins have been beaten on the ground a bunch this season, including last week against the Titans, and the Patriots are running all over everyone. Bourne could be an option if you are in a season long championship as a flex option, but I can't trust him as a DFS option for the season finale as New England is more likely to attack the defense on the ground more than through the air.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Marquez CallawayNOFabian MoreauATL

He had six catches on ten targets for 97 yards against the Panthers and it was the second time in three weeks he topped 95 yards. Callaway hasn't scored in six weeks, and the Saints passing game is pretty pathetic. He had three catches for 25 yards and a touchdown the first game against the Falcons, and the Saints need a win to try to grab that last playoff spot. I like Callaway as a dart throw in DFS contests as Moreau has allowed six touchdowns against him this season and if you are in your fantasy football championship he is worthy of a flex spot.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Kenny GolladayNYGKendall FullerWFT

It is almost comical how bad the Giants offense is, and with basically every decent option out due to Covid or injuries, Golladay failed to even record a target in their Week 17 game against the Bears. In fact, Mike Glennon completed just four passes. The Washington secondary isn't great by any stretch, but there is no chance that you can trust any New York Giants player in any fantasy format in the season finale.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Elijah MooreNYJLevi WallaceBUF

He was close to playing last week, but this will be his first game action since Week 13 and he had just three catches for 44 yards back in Week 10 against the Bills. Moore has a ton of talent, but how much can we count on him when he hasn't played in over a month and a matchup against one of the toughest secondaries in football in Buffalo. The Jets have absolutely nothing to play for outside of pride. Buffalo is still fighting for the top seed in the AFC and I just can't put Moore into a DFS lineup with so much uncertainty and a less than ideal opponent.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
DeVonta SmithPHITrevon DiggsDAL

It was another game where the Eagles didn't throw it a ton and Smith finished with three catches for 54 yards. He ahs topped 50 yards just once in the last five weeks and has scored just once in the last six games. The Eagles are in the playoffs and can't improve their seeding in this final week and won't push their players more than they have to. Sure, they would like to beat the Cowboys, but I won't put too much stock in their passing game and Smith is only a desperation play if your season long league goes until Week 18.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Diontae JohnsonPITJimmy SmithBAL

The volume continued, but the yards per target was pathetic as he had eight catches on 15 targets for just 31 yards. Thankfully, Diontae found the end zone again to give him a solid 17 fantasy points in PPR leagues. Ben Roethlisberger is going to be playing his final game this Sunday, and while I'm sure he would like to go out with a bang, the arm strength and mobility is all shot. The good news for Johnson is that he gets a huge target share so he is likely to be successful again. The Ravens secondary is still banged up, but they did a good job with the Rams last week. I still like Johnson if this is your championship or even in DFS as he probably won't be rostered much and he will still get a ton of volume against a team he had eight catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns against in Week 13.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
D.K. MetcalfSEAByron MurphyARZ

In one of his best games of the season, Metcalf had six catches for 63 yards and three touchdowns. That is now four touchdowns in the last two weeks after going six weeks previous without a score. The whole Seahawks offense has kind of been maddening this season as they have been so up and down and have been very hard to predict from week to week. Metcalf now has a dozen touchdowns on the year, but had eight at the team's Week 8 bye. The Cardinals should have some of their injury and Covid riddled secondary back this week, and even down a few guys they played decently against Dallas. This very well could be Russell Wilson's last game for the Seahawks and you'd think he wants to end on a positive note. Metcalf is a guy to play if this is your seasonal championship, but a risky option for DFS contests.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Deebo SamuelSFJalen RamseyLAR

It looked iffy for a while if Samuel would have any sort of impact as Trey Lance struggled mightily in the first half. However, the kid found his groove a little more down the stretch and that saved Deebo's day with a 45 yard touchdown. He finished the game with three catches for 63 yards and seven runs for 19 more. He has been one of the best stories of the fantasy football season, and there's no reason to think that he won't put a bow on it with a solid game against the Rams with the 49ers needing a win to make the playoffs. He had five catches for 97 yards and a touchdown through the air and five carries for 36 yards and another score on the ground the first time they played Los Angeles. Deebo is a guy who seems to impose his will on the defense and he will be a fantastic option in all fantasy formats for the season finale.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Mike EvansTBStephon GilmoreCAR

Surprisingly, he was able to get on the field last week, and even caught a touchdown with his four catches and 47 yards. With Chris Godwin out with injury, and Antonio Brown banished from the team, Evans will be the top dog this week. With the Packers already clinching home field throughout the playoffs and Tampa being banged up all over the place, their quarterback being 70 years old, and Carolina being a completely awful team, don't be surprised to see guys sit on the sidelines for much of the second half if not more. Given the state of the Panthers defense, Evans could have enough of a fantasy impact in limited time to still be worth playing if you are finishing out the season, and while you normally don't want to play a guy in DFS that might not play the whole game, Evans seems like a virtual lock to score at least one touchdown in this one.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
A.J. BrownTENDesmond KingHOU

A week after owning the 49ers, Brown made almost no impact as he finished with two catches on just five targets for 41 yards in a massacre of Miami. It wasn't really that Brown wasn't a factor, the Titans just didn't throw much in a game where the Dolphins had no answer for anything, but particularly the run game. Brown is dealing with a bit of a calf injury, but I don't think that was a factor in his letdown in production. The Titans are trying to secure the number one seed in the AFC, and should come out very motivated against the lowly Texans. Brown had just five catches for 48 yards against them in Week 11 but he also left that one early with an injury. Houston's secondary isn't awful, but you can definitely throw on them, and the Titans are going to come out wanting to throw the ball and get on the board early. I really like Brown in all fantasy formats in the season's final week.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Terry McLaurinWFTJames BradberryNYG

I had completely written him off this season after the month of December, but McLaurin actually had a decent game in Week 17 with seven catches for 61 yards against a pretty tough Eagles secondary. He will enter the season's final week on a team with nothing to play for but pride, but gets one of the easier matchups going right now in the Giants who have completely given up. I kind of get it when you know your offense can't move the ball, and the defense is on the field way too much. This might be a bit of a contrarian pick, but I have been targeting players against New York for a few weeks now and it has worked out. The Washington offense has been very unpredictable and bad more often than not, but I have more confidence they will play harder than the Giants will and McLaurin could be a good DFS tournament play as a guy who won't be played by many.

Right Wide Receivers vs. Left Cornerbacks
Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
A.J. GreenARZD.J. ReedSEA

He hasn't had a ton of catches this season, but Green has made the most of the ones that he has. He had another three catches on Sunday, but they were good for 74 yards against the Cowboys. However, he hasn't had a touchdown since Week 6 and there are games that he disappears. He had four catches for 78 yards the first game against the Seahawks and if you are still finishing out your fantasy championship he could be your flex, but his upside is not enough to work him into a DFS lineup unless you need a pretty cheap play that can possibly get you ten fantasy points against a pretty shaky Seahawks secondary.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Christian BlakeATLPaulson AdeboNO

The Falcons season has been a complete mess, and their offense has been utterly unwatchable most of the season outside of Cordarrelle Patterson's breakout and Kyle Pitts second half. I'll even give you some weeks of Russell Gage in there. Blake hasn't been fantasy relevant all season long and he won't be in the last game either against a tough Saints defense that needs a win to try to make the playoffs.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Rashod BatemanBALCameron SuttonPIT

It has been a fine second half for the rookie and he had a nice game against the Rams with seven catches for 58 yards and I will be fairly high on him going into 2022. However, he has just one touchdown all season, and hie production is very volatile. Case in point, he had no catches on just one target in the first game against the Steelers. Now, Pittsburgh is really going in the tank to finish the year, but I would still be very hard pressed to want to force Bateman into a DFS lineup on the season's final week.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Gabriel DavisBUFJavelin GuidryNYJ

It was tough to expect a good game from him when Josh Allen was just off on the day and the conditions weren't very good. However, he still finished with three catches for 40 yards in a game that Emmanuel Sanders didn't play. The Bills come into the finale needing a win to secure a division title, and they get the cupcake matchups of all cupcake matchups against the Jets. He had three catches for 105 yards against them in Week 10, and even if Sanders returns, Davis has leapfrogged him in priority in targets. He remains a low cost DFS option and on a highly motivated team against one of the worst defenses in football I like him as a dart throw for the Week 18 slate.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Robby AndersonCARCarlton DavisTB

Anderson did have two catches on Sunday, but those were his only two targets and he finished with ten yards. He is one of the players I am most excited not to have to write about this season anymore. It was a really bad season for him and the Panthers offense in general and Anderson was one of the bigger disappointments. We will have to see how the quarterback situation shakes out in Carolina before we give any thought to his fantasy value next year, but he will finish this season far from the fantasy radar.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Allen RobinsonCHICameron DantzlerMIN

I just called Robby Anderson one of the season's biggest disappointments and Allen Robinson said hold my beer. He did have four catches for 35 yards in Week 17 against the Giants and sadly that wasn't a horrible game for him this season. The quarterback play wasn't great this season, but it is no excuse for the hot turd Robinson put up in 2021. He will finish the season with one last disappointment and you should not consider him in any fantasy format. I am fascinated to see what his ADP will look like in 2022 and what team he ends up on.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Ja'Marr ChaseCINGreedy WilliamsCLE

When this kid blows up, he really blows up! Chase finished Sunday with 11 catches for 266 yards and three touchdowns as his record setting rookie season continued. He and Joe Burrow are just dominating fantasy playoffs and likely won you your league if you had him on your team. The Bengals clinched the division last week, and have opted to rest Burrow some after he tweaked a knee injury against the Chiefs. I also wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Chase doesn't see the field much in the second half. He has had a fantastic rookie season and will be on the DFS radar come playoff time, but in the season's final week you can not bother with him.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Jarvis LandryCLEEli AppleCIN

I know Landry is the slot receiver, but this is the last week of the season, and no one is considering Rashard Higgins in fantasy. Hell, no one should be considering Landry either, but at least the guy is involved in the offense. He had ten targets for the third time in four games, but he caught just four of them for 43 yards. The Browns possession receiver has topped 50 yards just twice since Week 8 and has one touchdown all season long. In this anemic offense with Case Keenum at quarterback, you want to completely look the other way in fantasy and not use any Browns in Week 18.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Cedrick WilsonDALSteven NelsonPHI

He played quite well once Michael Gallup went down as Wilson finished with six catches for 35 yards and a touchdown. He showed some flashes earlier in the season when Gallup was out as well, and is an intriguing option in the season's final week. The Eagles have clinched their playoff spot, and although they have been a pretty decent secondary, they might not be overly motivated. Wilson is definitely an option if this is your fantasy championship and I like him as a dart throw in DFS games as well as Dallas could opt to rest their two top receivers later in the game.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Tim PatrickDENMike HughesKC

He missed last week due to Covid, but will be back out there for the season finale. He has only topped 40 receiving yards once since Week 9 and only has one touchdown over that span as well. The quarterback situation has been a mess, and the Denver offense has been borderline on pathetic all season long. The Chiefs still have aspirations as the AFC's top seed and I can't see them blowing this game against Denver. Patrick had just one catch for nine yards against them the first time, and while I expect him to top that number in Week 18, he still is not close to the fantasy radar.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Kalif RaymondDETKevin KingGB

He also missed last week due to Covid, but it wouldn't have mattered. He hasn't had a game that was impactful from a fantasy perspective since Week 7, and he had just two catches for 18 yards in the first game against the Packers. Green Bay might not play all of their starters, but Raymond still isn't someone you should consider at all for fantasy in Week 18.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Marquez Valdes-ScantlingGBWill HarrisDET

He had just one catch for five yards on Sunday night against the Vikings in his usual boom or bust fashion. He does get an easy matchup against the Lions, but Jordan Love will be at quarterback and I assume the Packers will be playing at half speed this week given that they clinched home field already. With Davante Adams likely leaving the field early, Valdes-Scantling could be in for a bit more volume than usual, but even against the crappy Lions I don't feel nearly confident enough in him to use him in any fantasy lineups this weekend.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Nico CollinsHOUKristian FultonTEN

The rookie has shown some flashes this season, and I think his stock will improve next season because of it, but he hasn't done enough consistently to be a fantasy factor in 2021. The Houston passing game has also been very inconsistent outside of Brandin Cooks, as none of the other guys have really stepped up. He had just one catch for nine yards back in Week 11 against the Titans, and Collins should not be someone worth considering on Sunday.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
T.Y. HiltonINDShaquill GriffinJAX

He had one catch for 45 yards and a touchdown, but the throw was just a heave by Carson Wentz and was tipped in the air so it is hard to give him too much credit for this. He does have a touchdown in each of the last two weeks, but this season has been a disaster. The Jags defense is absolutely awful, but Hilton had one catch for five yards against them last time. Hilton has been a bum this season and even in this matchup you can't use him in any format.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Marvin JonesJAXIsaiah RodgersIND

He had just two catches for 46 yards against the Patriots, and this is in a game where they were getting absolutely crushed. The whole team has been bad, but Trevor Lawrence has really brought the offense down. After having 70+ yards in two of the last three weeks, this was more of what the rest of 2021 has been for Jones. The Colts secondary isn't good, but there is no chance that you can give Jones any consideration in any fantasy contest, and I am glad that this painful season is over for the Jaguars passing game.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Byron PringleKCPatrick SurtainDEN

With Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill both back on the field, it should be no surprise that Pringle didn't make much of an impact with his three catches and 35 yards against the Bengals. This is the same story it has been all season that unless the team has several injuries you can't count on any of the other receivers. That trend will continue in the final week of the regular season and you can avoid Pringle against a pretty decent Denver secondary.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Van JeffersonLARJosh NormanSF

In an odd game for the Rams offense where they couldn't take advantage of a bare bones Ravens secondary, Jefferson had four catches for 63 yards and most of that came on one catch. The Rams passing game seems to have lost it's efficiency over the past month, and Jefferson has just nine catches in the last four weeks. He had just three catches for 54 yards in Week 10 against the 49ers, and I expect similar production from him this week. He is not someone that I would be considering using in my fantasy lineups for Week 18.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Josh PalmerLACBrandon FacysonLV

The rookie has given us a glimpse of what he is capable of this season, but he is down far enough on the depth chart that he doesn't get to consistently show his abilities. He had three catches for just 16 yards against Denver last week and will be in a win or go home game Sunday night against the Raiders. He has been getting more targets of late, but it hasn't been turning into more production. He should have a bigger role with the team in 2022, but for this last week of the year he is nothing more than a deep dart throw for that Sunday night DFS showdown slate if you want to hope he might score a touchdown.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
DeSean JacksonLVIsaiah RodgersIND

Like most of the season, Jackson had almost no impact on the game as he had just one catch for five yards against the Colts. The Raiders passing game just isn't very dynamic, and Zay Jones has really stepped up as the go-to outside receiver. Jackson isn't anywhere near fantasy relevant for the final game of the NFL regular season.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Mack HollinsMIAJalen MillsNE

The Dolphins pass game hasn't been exciting all season, but it has really stunk out loud over the past few weeks. Hollins is just not very good, and isn't used very often. Against a tough Patriots secondary in a game they need to win for a chance at the division, Hollins shouldn't even be close to in your thoughts.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
K.J. OsbornMINKindle VildorCHI

Considering Sean Mannion was at quarterback, Osborn wasn't horrible with three catches for 50 yards and a touchdown in Week 17. He did most of it in the fourth quarter, so it was close to a disaster. Kirk Cousins will be back this week, which should really help. He had just three catches for 21 yards against the Bears in Week 15, but with Adam Thielen out that should open up more opportunities for Osborn. His DFS salary is still very reasonable and although neither team has anything to play for, I do like that this game is at home in the dome. He isn't a guy that I am super excited to force into all of my lineups but he certainly will be an option in builds where you are looking for a lower salaried guy who could give you pretty decent production and a real chance at a touchdown.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Kristian WilkersonNEByron JonesMIA

With Nelson Agholor out and N'Keal Harry a healthy scratch, it was Wilkerson who had a strong game with four catches for 42 yards and two touchdowns against the Jags. This was a game against a team that has absolutely quit and wasn't that talented to begin with. The Dolphins don't have playoff hopes but their pass defense isn't terrible. If you really want to chase last week's points with Wilkerson, be my guest, but I am going to target guys with more of a track record or guys on offenses that pass more in the last week of the season and not this fluke.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Deonte HartyNOA.J. TerrellATL

In his first game back from a suspenion, Harty caught both of his passes for 26 yards in a game against the Panthers. This offense just really doesn't provide a lot of fantasy juice, and right now all of the squeeze in the passing game goes to Marquez Callaway. The Saints need a win to try to get in the playoffs, but they are going to do it mostly on the ground, and only ask Taysom Hill to do so much. I can't trust this guy in any fantasy format in Week 18.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Darius SlaytonNYGDaryl RobertsWFT

The entire receiving room practically missed last week's game due to Covid, but how much does it really matter right now? Mike Glennon is completely awful, and even if Jake Fromm steps in, how much better is he? New York is really just playing out the year, and even using the word playing might be a stretch. They are really the worst team in football right now and you can't trust any of their players in any sort of fantasy game.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Braxton BerriosNYJDane JacksonBUF

Perhaps no one is playing harder on a losing team than Braxton Berrios. He had eight catches for 65 yards and two carries for 12 yards with a touchdown on the ground and one through the air. I think the good story of the last few weeks comes to a screeching halt this week as the Jets will face a Bills team that needs a win to secure the division title, not to mention the weather in Buffalo isn't usually known for being great in January. If the Jets are down several receivers again due to injury or Covid he could have an impact, but I am going to look in another direction from Berrios this week.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Greg WardPHIAnthony BrownDAL

He had two catches for 35 yards on Sunday, which isn't inspiring, but he is the next best outside receiver from DeVonta Smith with Quez Watkins in the slot. The Eagles just continue to not throw a ton and Smith and tight end Dallas Goedert eat up most of the targets. Those are the only two guys you can remotely trust, and even they aren't sure things. Ward is not someone to look to when setting your Week 18 lineups.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Chase ClaypoolPITKevon SeymourBAL

I hate to say it, but he is a victim of his circumstance. Claypool is a very nice deep ball threat, but the Steelers offense, and Ben Roethlisberger's arm, isn't capable of letting him produce. He had a very healthy nine targets on Monday night, but they were good for just three catches and 17 yards. It is the third straight game that Claypool has had under 50 yards and has just seven catches in the last three weeks combined. He had just two for 52 against the Ravens in Week 13 and he hasn't scored since Week 5. Assuming the Steelers bring in some sort of capable quarterback next year, Claypool will get his fantasy value back, but he isn't someone you can consider using in the season finale on Sunday.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Brandon AiyukSFDarious WilliamsLAR

He had four catches for 94 yards on Sunday and it seems that Trey Lance has a nice little connection with Aiyuk as he looked his way several times when he was in trouble. Almost half his yards came on one catch, but Aiyuk was certainly a part of the game plan and will need to be again this week. He really only has one bad game in the last four, and considering how he started the season, this is great production from Aiyuk's part. He won't be a part of my DFS rosters as he has had too rocky of a season for me to count on now, but if Week 18 happens to be your fantasy championship I would still feel comfortable with him in my starting lineups.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Tyler LockettSEAMarco WilsonARZ

He has a touchdown in three of the last four weeks, but it has been two pretty down games in a row for Lockett as he had just three catches for 24 yards against the Lions. THE LIONS! What a let down! I feel like we are due one more big "Lockett" type game, and the Cardinals secondary might be just how we get it. He had four catches for 115 yards against them in Week 11, and Dak Prescott threw for three touchdowns against them last week. Lockett tends to score touchdowns in bunches and with this potentially being the last game that sees Russell Wilson throwing him the ball, Lockett should go out with at least 75 yards and a score against the Cardinals.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Cyril GraysonTBC.J. HendersonCAR

With Tampa's receivers either being injured or doing a strip tease on the sidelines, the Bucs have needed someone to step up. While Tyler Johnson was more involved in Week 17, it has been Grayson who has been the main producer. After an 81 yard game in Week 16 against Carolina he had another 81 yards with a touchdown last week against the lowly Jets on eight targets. I think there is no doubt who the go to receiver after Mike Evans and Rob Gronkowksi is right now. With Tampa not able to secure home field, they don't have a hell of a lot to play for this week. Bruce Arians came out and said they wouldn't rest anyone this week, but with the number of receivers and running backs they have injured, I don't expect the big names to play the whole game, maybe outside of Brady. Grayson could be a great sneaky DFS play at a low salary who could give unexpected production.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Julio JonesTENTerrance MitchellHOU

He missed last week due to Covid, but he has just 26 catches the entire season which for him spans nine games. That is fewer than three catches a game, he averaged just under 42 yards per game and hasn't scored a touchdown all season long. Sure, this is a pretty easy matchup against the Texans, but if you are thinking of trusting Julio Jones at this point, well then I can't help you. Glad to be done talking about this guy for the year and here's to more hamstring injuries in 2022. May his ADP stay high so others pick this schlub and leave productive players for me!

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Cam SimsWFTAdoree JacksonNYG

The Washington passing game isn't really that impactful, and after Terry McLaurin they really spread the ball around to a lot of different players. Sims had four catches for 48 yards against Philadelphia and that was his second game over 40 yards in the last four weeks. That also means he had two games under 40 yards. Yes, this is me giving a long winded explanation to why even against the awful Giants that Sims is not worth any sort of fantasy consideration in Week 18.

Now, here are my 10 favorite matchups in the slot in Week 18.

Slot Wide Receivers vs. Slot Cornerbacks
Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Cooper KuppLARK'Wuan WilliamsSF

With his 95 yards in Week 17 against the Ravens, Kupp hasn't had fewer than 95 yards in a game since Week 5 when he had 92 yards. Let that sink in! If that isn't consistency I don't know what is. He also has five touchdowns in the last five weeks. Williams is a pretty solid slot corner, but Kupp had 11 catches for 122 yards against the Niners in Week 10 and he is a no brainer in any fantasy contest again this week.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
CeeDee LambDALJosiah ScottPHI

He has certainly quieted down in the last month and a half as Lamb had another underwhelming game with just three catches for 51 yards against the Cardinals. He's only scored two touchdowns after the team's Week 7 bye and both of those came in the same game against the Falcons. he had just three catches for 66 yards against the Eagles in Week 3, and their secondary doesn't give up a ton of yards. If this is your fantasy championship fire him up, but Lamb has played his way out of DFS consideration for me.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Keenan AllenLACAmik RobertsonLV

The catches and yards won't thrill you as he had just four grabs for 44 yards, but Allen did score and kept his fantasy managers happy. They now go to a win or go home matchup against the Raiders on Sunday night. Vegas has allowed 26 passing touchdowns this season, although I think Patrick Mahomes is responsible for about 20 of those. Allen had seven catches against them in Week 4, but it was good for only 36 yards and he didn't score. He still is the most targeted receiver on the team, and he works very well getting open in the red zone. I absolutely love Allen if it happens to be your fantasy championship and he will be a stellar choice for your DFS Showdown slate Sunday night.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Tyreek HillKCKyle FullerDEN

He had six catches for 40 yards against the Bengals and although he was back to his normal target share, this is two straight disappointing games for Hill. Is he still feeling ill effects from his time on the Covid list? Did the late bye impact him and make it hard for him to get back on track? He is still one of the most talented receivers in football and can literally take any reception the distance. He had just two catches for 22 yards in Week 13 against these Broncos, so there isn't a huge precedent for him to be wildly successful against them. He isn't someone that I think is a slam dunk to put in your DFS lineups, but Hill is always in consideration with his big play ability and his huge target share on the team.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Jaylen WaddleMIAJustin BethelNE

He had his biggest disappointment in quite a while as he had just three catches for 47 yards against the Titans in a game where the entire offense just couldn't get going. It was his fewest catches since Week 5 and his fewest yards since Week 8. He had four catches for 61 yards in the season opener against the Patriots with a touchdown, but Waddle's role has grown to be the biggest and most reliable part of this offense. The Pats usual slot corner is on the Covid list and Waddle can take advantage of the matchup. I am willing to look past his bad performance last week and go back to him in DFS for the final week.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Amon-Ra St. BrownDETChandon SullivanGB

His torturing of NFL defenses continued last week with eight catches for 111 yards and a touchdown agains the Seahawks. He now has eight catches in five straight weeks and 70+ yards in the same time frame and has scored in four of those games. Sullivan has allowed 12 yards per catch this season and has been lit up a few times this season. The Packers have nothing to play for this week and St. Brown is looking to finish his season with a bang. Fire him up in all fantasy formats for the season's final week.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Hunter RenfrowLVChris HarrisLAC

After a couple down games, Renfrow bounced back nicely with seven catches for 76 yards and a score against the Colts. Indianapolis was not able to contain Renfrow like the last two teams were. This is a win or go home game for the Raiders on Sunday night, and while the Raiders might get Darren Waller back he likely won't get his full complement of targets. Renfrow will be a nice, safe option for the Sunday night showdown slate as Derek Carr is certainly going to look to the guy with the best hands an awful lot in a game that they have to win.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Jakobi MeyersNEJustin ColemanMIA

In one of the best games of his career, Meyers caught all eight of his targets for 73 yards and another touchdown. That game couldn't have been easier for the Pats as the Jaguars have certainly given up on the end of the season. The Dolphins are also out of it, but their coach, Brian Flores, doesn't allow quit. Coleman allows nearly 70% of passes his way to be caught, and we will see how much the Patriots throw as they do rely on the run an awful lot. Meyers has had eight or more targets in the last four games (not counting that game against Buffalo where they threw three times), so there is a solid chance that Meyers has a good game. He had six catches against the Dolphins in the season opener, but even with all of this good news, I still have a hard time with using Meyers too much in any DFS contest.

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Tyler BoydCINM.J. StewartCLE

He has scored in three straight games as the Bengals have been absolutely crushing it through the air of late. Boyd still is only hanging around five to seven targets per game, so he is still third on the team as far as priority is concern, but right now that is still good enough to be fantasy relevant. The Browns are not exactly a strong secondary and even without Joe Burrow Boyd could do well. Stewart has allowed over 80% of passes his way to be caught in the last month and there's no reason to think that Boyd can't do it one more time. The Bengals will rest players, but I still think Boyd plays most of the game but isn't worth a DFS play

Wide ReceiverTeamCornerbackTeam
Russell GageATLChauncey Gardner-JohnsonNO

The Falcons offense is absolutely awful and the Saints are a pretty strong secondary that needs to win, but the slot in the last week is tough. I thought about Cole Beasley but his production has been down and Jamison Crowder can't stay on the field. Jerry Jeudy is a maybe but can you really trust him for your fantasy championship or DFS dollars? With Kyle Pitts compromised or out, who the hell are the Falcons going to throw to? Gage has a chance of being a good game and if the rookie Pitts is going to be out, then Gage becomes a DFS option even against a tough Saints team.

And finally, my favorite DFS plays of the week at different salary levels

Elite

Cooper Kupp vs. Emmanuel Moseley

You might be disappointed I am ending the year with chalk, but this guy has just been incredible all season long and has basically been worth the salary almost every week. He torched the Niners big time the first time they played, Moseley is in his first game back in a while from injury, and the Niners secondary is really bad if the defensive line can’t get pressure on Matthew Stafford. I shouldn’t have to put much of an explanation here to tell you that Kupp is a top notch option.

Justin Jefferson vs. Jaylon Johnson

Even without Kirk Cousins he wasn’t a total bust last week, and he will get Captain Kirk back this Sunday. He did only have four catches against them three weeks ago, but he did have a touchdown, and now Adam Thielen is out. Jefferson gets what I love the most, which is volume, as he has had 72 targets in the last five weeks. The Bears have absolutely nothing to play for and this one is in the friendly indoor confines of Minnesota. The Vikings are out of the playoffs, but Jefferson should finish his sensational second season with another monster day.

Stefon Diggs vs. Bryce Hall

He is six catches away from 100 and one touchdown away from ten and I expect Diggs to reach both milestones this week. The Bills still have to win to clinch the division title and the Jets have been planning their postseason vacations since about Week 4. New York has been one of the worst secondaries in football all season long (just look how many times Jets fan Howard Bender has put their opponents in the DFS Playbook), and I can’t see them being highly motivated in the season finale. Diggs had eight catches for 162 yards and a touchdown against them in Week 10, and while that might be a bit much I am expecting a very big day from Diggs.

Affordable

Amon-Ra St. Brown vs. Chandon Sullivan

I was a little worried about him last week with Tim Boyle at quarterback, but he went and had his best game of the season. The Lions certainly want to finish the season with a W and you know St. Brown wants to end this streak of good games with some fireworks in the last week. He has had 11+ targets in five straight and there’s no reason for that not to continue. The Packers have home field locked up, so they have no motivation to try hard in this game. It is in Detroit, so we don’t have to worry about weather, and I like St. Brown to give us a thrill one last time this season.

Jaylen Waddle vs Justin Bethel

I know his stat line stunk last week, and I know they are going against a motivated Patriots team, but I still like Waddle to have one last big game. New England is down a couple of cornerbacks over the past few weeks, so Bethel isn’t exactly the guy they’ve been using in the slot all year. Waddle also has my favorite trait, which is volume, as he is the most targeted receiver on this team by a mile. We have to have a short memory with last week’s performance and take a look at this game only. New England also has solid outside corners which should leave more opportunity to throw to Waddle and while his yards per catch isn’t an impressive stat, in PPR formats he almost has a floor of 15 points and if he finds the end zone you are cashing that lineup.

Brandin Cooks vs. Janoris Jenkins

He has three touchdowns in the last two weeks, three straight games with seven catches and ten targets or more and has 269 yards in those three games. The Titans are motivated to win as it would lock up home field, but that doesn’t mean that their below average defense is going to shut anyone down. Tennessee could also very likely blow Houston out, which would mean lots of garbage time for Davis Mills to chuck the ball around. Whatever the scenario, the Texans don’t have another receiver that is even close to Cooks’ class, and he is easily going to be the most targeted receiver. The Titans have been beatable with the pass all season long and Cooks should finish this tumultuous but ultimately successful season with 15-20 fantasy points.

Bargain Bin

Marquez Callaway vs. Fabian Moreau

You have to be looking for teams motivated to win in the final week of the season and the Saints need a victory and a 49ers loss to squeak into the playoffs. Callaway is very boom or bust, but he has had two games over 95 yards with six catches in the last three and the game he didn’t reach that plateau was because Ian Book was at quarterback. The Falcons secondary has been a doormat all season, and Moreau has allowed six touchdowns on his own. Callaway didn’t have a big game the first time they played the Falcons, but he did score, and I am expecting the Saints to come out playing inspired football and look to get their best receiver the ball eight to ten times. There’s a little risk here, but I really like the upside.
