Josh Allen Underdog NFL Pick: Higher than 29.5 Passing Attempts

So, Allen has only attempted more than 29.5 pass attempts once this season and that was on opening night during the Bills incredible comeback win over the Baltimore Ravens in which he threw the ball 46 times.

Since then he has attempted 22, 28 and 25 pass attempts in wins over the Jets, Dolphins and Saints. 

So, you must be wondering then why we like the over today? The simple answer is that I think this game between the Bills and Patriots is going to be a far more competitive matchup than those other contests.

The Patriots under Mike Vrable are coming off their best win of the season, scoring 42 points against the Carolina Panthers. The Bills defense hasn't really been all too special and if this game saw the line open at 10.5 and  is now down to 7.5 with the game total sitting at 48.5.

If Vegas is thinking the Patriots can keep this within a touchdown and the total near 50 points then we should get Allen throwing the football quite a bit here this evening.

 

 

Stefon Diggs Underdog NFL Pick: Higher than 48.5 Receiving Yards

It's been a slow start for Diggs in New England but last week against the Panthers the team moved him into the slot and he feasted on the Panthers, catching six of seven targets for 101 yards. 

In the Josh McDaniels offense we know that slot receivers and tight ends tend to be quite productive and at Diggs current age he is no longer really the outside receiver he once was but instead hes a guy with elite hands that can still get open in short spaces due to his elite route running.

This should set him up perfectly to be a focal point of the Patriots offense tonight where we need to see him finish with at least 49 yards which is something he's done in two of the four games this season.
