Patrick Mahomes NFL Week 5 Sleeper Picks: More than 1.5 Passing Touchdowns

We were all over the 1.5 passing touchdowns for Mahomes last week against the Ravens, and he delivered in a big way, throwing four touchdown passes.

This week, I’m expecting much of the same as the Chiefs' run game struggles to get going and will now face a decent Jacksonville run defense.

With Xavier Worthy back, the Chiefs' offense just adds another dynamic element to their passing offense, which makes it even more difficult to defend.

I’m banking on Mahomes to throw at least another two touchdown passes tonight in this matchup.

 

 

 

Brenton Strange NFL Week 5 Sleeper Picks: More than 35.5 Receiving Yards

The Chiefs have actually been pretty good against the tight end position this season, but all defensive numbers against tight ends need to be taken into perspective of the matchups, as not all teams feature the tight end in their passing attack. 

This brings me to Brenton Strange, the 2023 second-round pick, who has 19 catches on 23 targets over the first four games of the season and has finished with more than 35.5 yards in three of those four games.

Over the last two weeks, he’s been targeted 14 times, catching 12 passes for 106 yards.

He is quickly looking like a go-to target for Trevor Lawrence, and that’s good enough for me in this matchup tonight.
