Jordan Mason PrizePicks NFL Pick: Lower Than 8.5 Yards - Longest Reception

With Aaron Jones sidelined on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury, Jordan Mason has emerged as the Vikings' lead running back.

Last week against the Bengals, Mason handled 60% of the offensive snaps and racked up 16 carries.

He saw zero targets. The week before versus the Falcons, he notched two catches on three targets for eight yards, while in Week 1 against the Bears, he had one reception on one target for seven yards.

Jordan Mason simply isn't a pass-catching back that's not his purpose on the roster.

Last season with the 49ers, Mason hauled in just 11 passes on 14 targets total. He had only three games with more than one catch and zero with more than two. 

Among those 11 receptions, just three exceeded 8.5 yards, including two that went for exactly nine.

Based on his track record and current role, it'd feel like a tough break if Mason snags a pass for nine or more yards this weekend against the Steelers.
