As the old saying goes, “Good teams win, great teams cover.” We are back for Week 13 with our picks against the spread! Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Hope your holiday weekend is full of good eats, good times with family, and some GREAT football games. The NFL set us up with a pretty exciting holiday slate of games all before the 1:00 PM ET kickoff on Sunday, so personally, I think we all have something to be thankful for!

Below, we will be breaking down our NFL Week 13 Picks Against The Spread while also going through the NFL Week 13 schedule. So without further ado, let's dive in!

NFL Week 13 Picks Against The Spread + NFL Week 13 Schedule Predictions

For the NFL Week 13 Schedule, we have all 32 teams playing this weekend in 16 games, including three Thanksgiving Day games and one Black Friday game. In the following section, you will find my predictions, with my NFL Week 13 Picks Against The Spread highlighted in bold. All lines are courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook:

NFL Week 13 Picks Against The Spread: Denver Broncos -6.5 (-102 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

Let me get this straight… The 9-2 Denver Broncos are only 6.5-point favorites over the 3-8 Washington Commanders? I do not get this line at all. While the Broncos have only been winning close recently, with three-point wins against the Raiders, Chiefs, and Texans in their last three games, two of those three teams are playoff contenders, and the other one is a divisional opponent, which could always lead to some wacky results. They have still been winning those games and have shown the capability for blowout wins, like their 20-point victory over the Dallas Cowboys a few weeks back. Despite some up-and-down play from their offense, their defense is elite, letting up less than 20 points in the past three weeks.

Meanwhile, since losing Jayden Daniels to injury, the Commanders have been blown out by the Chiefs, Seahawks, and Lions. They also lost by three points to a mediocre Dolphins team while overseas. If the Marcus Mariota-led Commanders teams haven't shown they can win, let alone play in close games, unless in the strangest of circumstances, why is this line 6.5? This team is old, beaten up, and outclassed in this matchup, and I am comfortable taking this like at -6.5 and would even consider playing it up to -13.5.

NFL Week 13 Picks Against The Spread: Chicago Bears +7 (-115 at DraftKings Sportsbook)

This should be one of the most anticipated games of the season. The 8-3 Chicago Bears vs. the 8-3 Philadelphia Eagles on an international stage, thanks to the Prime Video broadcast. The one thing you can say about these two teams is that they both play games close. 7/11 of the Bears' games have been decided by one score, and 9/11 of the Eagles' games have as well. Personally, I don't expect this game to be any different.

Recently, the Eagles' offense hasn't been the Super Bowl-winning unit that helped take down the Chiefs. They have been struggling to get Saquon Barkley going, the passing game hasn't clicked (just ask AJ Brown), and they have only averaged just over 15 points per game over their past three games. While their defense has been great still, especially with the reinforcements they added at the trade deadline, they do not seem like a Super Bowl-contending team right now, even at eight wins.

The same can be said about the Bears. On defense, while they are top of the league in turnovers, third-down defense, and fourth-down defense, they are a bottom-half unit overall and have had countless injuries. Their offense has also had splash plays and exciting weeks, but hasn't maintained consistency week-to-week. That being said, the one reason I think the Bears can keep this game closer than the seven-point spread we have been given is Dennis Allen and the defensive reinforcements the Bears have coming back.

Last week, the Bears beat the Pittsburgh Steelers without their top four linebackers entering the season and without their top five corners entering the season. Yet, they once again were able to force turnovers and out-effort the Steelers. Now, they are expected to return Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon from IR. Two of the best players for the Bears are now returning, who should be able to help turn this defense around. Without these two, and once again sending out a skeleton crew at linebacker, I don't think the Bears would stand a chance. Now? The Bears should once again be able to play a close game and maybe even come out with an upset.
