Welcome to the NFL Divisional Round DFS Playbook!
The 2022 NFL playoffs are in full-swing and the road to Super Bowl 57 got a little bit shorter this week. We had a strong showing of DFS winners from last week's action, so, of course, we're even more pumped up for the Divisional Round this week. All four games look like they're going to be both competitive and spectacular – yes, even the Kansas City Chiefs vs Jacksonville Jaguars game -- and when you've got games this good, it makes the DFS contests that much more exciting. Competitive games tend to lead to more scoring and we know how exciting it can get when you see teams start trading haymakers like a couple of heavyweight prizefighters. That's not to say we're taking the over in each game, but with all teams likely to be putting up some decent points, building winning DFS lineups becomes a lot more fun.
Now, keep in mind, with just four games for the weekend, we are going to be playing GPP tournaments only. Cash game pay-lines are going to be too high with so much player overlap, so while we always preach about playing cash games to cover potential GPP losses, this is more about having some fun and shooting for the stars. Don't go crazy and blow the bankroll you built up over the course of the season, but stuck to the tournaments and have a good time. Don't expect to hit the nuts, but build wisely and don't feel compelled to throw a whole bunch of darts. In my experience, at this time of year, I build my lineups with a cash game mentality – high-floor, zero-fat – but play them in single-entry GPP tournaments. Yes, I'll splash a lineup into the Milly Maker, but that's just a shot in the dark for funsies.
In addition to the DFS Playbook, I will also be posting a DFS Dart Board for the Saturday-only slate as well as one for Sunday, I will also have GPP examples for the full four-game slate as well as examples for Saturday and Sunday-only contests. Also, keep in mind that this Playbook lists pricing for the full four-game slate. Pricing will be different once we start looking at just the Saturday or Sunday-only slate.
And as always, be sure to check out the NFL Divisional Round Weekly Match-Up Report and dive into all of our NFL tools, including our daily fantasy football projections, NFL DFS Ownership Projections, Lineup Generator/DFS Optimizer and, of course, our DFS Compare tool.
Good luck to everyone and I'll see you all in the money this weekend!
