With the Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Commanders wrapping up Week Two of the NFL preseason tonight, we are creeping ever closer to the kickoff of the NFL regular season. That being said, as we creep closer, plenty more NFL news and NFL rumors emerge. With so many unanswered questions across several different teams, let's dive into the NFL News & Rumors This Week!

Top NFL News & Rumors This Week: Joe Flacco, Trade Rumors, & More

Today's top NFL News and Rumors feature the Browns announcing their Week One starting quarterback, trade rumors surrounding several players around the league, and much more!

Joe Flacco Named Browns Week One Starting QB

In one of the more publicized position battles of the NFL offseason, the Cleveland Browns have finally named a starting quarterback ahead of their Week One matchup against the division rival Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Flacco. The 40-year-old veteran beat out rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders, along with Kenny Pickett, for the starting job. While QB1 has been decided, there are still plenty of questions as to how the rest of the depth chart will shake out behind him.

Cincinnati Bengals Shopping Trey Hendrickson

After a holdout that has lasted the entire offseason, one of the biggest NFL Rumors of the day is that the Cincinnati Bengals are finally showing some willingness to move on from their superstar pass rusher, Trey Hendrickson. Hendrickson has been looking for a new contract as he saw fellow AFC North pass rushers T.J. Watt and Myles Garrett get new deals paying them upwards of $40 million per year. Since the Bengals have not been able to find a number that works for Hendrickson, they are now reportedly hearing out offers from inquiring teams, asking for a 2026 first-round pick and a young defensive player.

With reports claiming that the Green Bay Packers made an offer for fellow pass rusher (and holdout) Micah Parsons, they could also be a potential destination for Hendrickson.

Veterans Sign: Xavien Howard, Matt Judon

With so many injuries and roster moves happening throughout the preseason, it is no surprise that some formerly productive veterans are finding new teams. This includes former Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard, who is joining the Indianapolis Colts on a one-year deal, and former Patriots and Falcons pass rusher Matt Judon, who visited with the Miami Dolphins today and is expected to sign a deal.

Former Bills and Jaguars wide receiver Gabe Davis is also visiting with the Pittsburgh Steelers

Fantasy Football News & Rumors

We are currently in peak fantasy football draft season, which means it is essential to keep up with all the latest news and rumors that could shake up your fantasy football targets and fades! Check out our latest Fantasy Football News & Rumors below, including a potential Brian Robinson trade, injury updates, and more!

Brian Robinson Potential Trade - New Sleeper RB

Reports came out yesterday that the Washington Commanders are looking to move on from fourth-year running back Brian Robinson With it now being announced that Robinson will not suit up for the Commanders' preseason matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals tonight, the question is no longer “if” Robinson will be traded, but “when.” Brian Robinson is currently going as RB29 in fantasy football drafts, but we could see his ADP greatly fluctuate depending on where he lands.

The new target from the Commanders' backfield that seems to be the apple of everyone's eye in the fantasy community is rookie running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt, who is currently RB73. He has been impressing throughout the Commanders' training camp and likely played a big role in the team's willingness to trade Robinson. His ADP will likely skyrocket once Robinson is moved, along with Austin Ekeler (RB46), so draft them while you can!

Quinshon Judkins Still Without Contract

While prosecutors have made the decision not to pursue charges against rookie running back Quinshon Judkins in regards to an alleged domestic violence incident, the NFL's investigation is still ongoing. This has led to the Cleveland Browns and Judkins being unable to agree on a contract. The Browns are unlikely to get Judkins signed until after the NFL concludes its investigation.

With so many questions surrounding Judkins, his RB32 ADP is likely going to plummet, while people may choose to target fellow Browns running backs Jerome Ford (RB49) and Dylan Sampson (RB55).
