2025 Fantasy Football Week 4 IDP Report: Risers, Waiver Wire & Matchups
NFL Week 3 was one to remember for the great special teams efforts. A few top-tier fantasy football IDPs finally busted out. Notably, Kaden Elliss, Robert Spillane, and Grant Delpit were all top IDPs in fantasy football last season. In this article, we'll break down some top fantasy football Week 4 IDP risers and the best waiver wire targets. Plus, we'll discuss some of the best matchups and top injuries to know for fantasy football Week 4 IDP as you set those lineups.
2025 Fantasy Football Week 4 IDP Overview
Before we get into the fantasy football Week 4 IDP report, a quick recap of the players and matchups mentioned last week:
- Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB, Miami Dolphins: 4 solo tackles, 1 assist tackle
- Frankie Luvu, LB, Washington Commanders: 4 solo tackles, 3 assist tackles
- Harold Landry, DL/LB, New England Patriots: 4 assist tackles, 2 solo tackle, 1 forced fumble, 1 quarterback hit
Weekly Grade: B-
Each IDP earned at least 5 tackles, which is a solid baseline of points. However, only Harold Landry came through with a big play to earn a better-than-average point line. Frankie Luvu had his best game this season, but no big plays. Fitzpatrick could have done more, but ended with five total tackles. That earns a B- for not meeting expectations, but also not putting up zeros.
Fantasy Football IDP Risers Week 4
Jordan Davis, DT, Philadelphia Eagles
Davis made headlines last week with the game-winning blocked field goal and subsequent return touchdown to clinch the Eagles' victory. He's a nose tackle for Philadelphia. That implies that he lines up over the center on almost every defensive snap. He shades to either side but rarely plays outside the “A gaps” along the defensive line. Despite being double-teamed and dealing with pulling guards, he has been a productive fantasy football defensive lineman. Something most nose tackles can not do.
In leagues that require a true defensive tackle roster spot, Davis needs to be added to the roster, not the watchlist. He has recorded at least five combined tackles in every match thus far, and at least three solo tackles in every game of the season. He has three passes defended, which is tied with old man Cameron Heyward for most amongst defensive linemen. And tied sixteenth overall.
He also has a sack, a QB hit, and two tackles for losses. Keep an eye out for the 6-foot-6, 340-pound defensive nose tackle, and put him on the watchlist.
Noah Sewell, LB, Chicago Bears
Sewell is unknown to most fantasy football participants and is just beginning to make waves in the IDP community. For good reason too. He has filled in admirably for T.J. Edwards, who is dealing with a tough hamstring injury. Edwards was out Week 1, reaggravated his hamstring Week 2, and was out Week 3.
Sewell has played well in all three games. He has recorded 58 or more total snaps in every game, and has 129 total snaps in the box this season. He has logged 35 combined tackles in 2025, including 11 against the Dallas Cowboys in week three. Hamstrings are tricky, and Sewell is earning more playing time due to Edward’s injury. Keep an eye on this IDP riser going forward, and for Edwards owners, cuff him. He’s playing too good not to.
Grant Delpit, S, Cleveland Browns
The Browns are celebrating their first win of the season. That is not to say the defense hasn’t been playing well; in fact, the Browns have the No. 1 defense in the NFL. Delpit has been used as a true Swiss-Army knife for the Browns. He lines up on the defensive line (15 snaps), in the slot (36 snaps), at free safety (39 snaps), in the box (73 snaps), and on special teams (27 snaps). He has even lined up out wide (5 snaps).
He really busted out against the Green Bay Packers, including a timely interception to set up the Browns to tie the game. It was Jordan Love’s first interception of the season, and Delpit has shown the ability to make big plays. He has 18 combined tackles on the season, too.
Although a popular name in fantasy football, he could have been dropped. Take a look to see if this IDP is available, and keep an eye on this fantasy football riser.
Fantasy Football Week 4 IDP Waiver Wire Targets
Al-Quadin Muhammad, DL, Detroit Lions
After three weeks of the 2025 NFL season, an IDP gem has been found in fantasy football. Monday Night’s game was a showcase for the eight-year veteran. Al-Quadin Muhammad has mostly been a journeyman in the NFL. Although he has played 96 games, he has only started 36. And started just two games last season.
Finding the scheme that best fits with a skill set is what separates the good from the great in the NFL. Opportunity favors the bold, and picking players off the waiver wire before others is what leads to fantasy football championships. Muhammed is an example of those players. With Marcus Davenport injured, Muhammed has an opportunity to display his skills and land a multi-year contract late in his career. Playing opposite Aidan Hutchinson gives him the benefit of not being the focal point of opposing offenses. Can he continue to take advantage of it?
Do not miss out on this opportunity, as the Lions could play with a positive game script for most of their remaining games. That would allow Muhammed an opportunity to sack the quarterback in almost every game. Pick this IDP up on the fantasy football week 4 waiver wire.
Bryce Huff, DL/LB, San Francisco 49ers
Bryce Huff was mentioned in this column as a riser earlier this season. Now he finds himself as a Week 4 waiver wire addition. The San Francisco 49ers are 3-0, and possibly the most injured 3-0 team of recent memory. Last week, the 49ers lost the 2022 Defensive Player of the Year, Nick Bosa. Which will lead to more responsibility and more stats for Huff.
Although Huff has dual designation as a defensive lineman and linebacker, he plays the majority of his snaps on the defensive line. He has recorded 89 of his 93 snaps on the line, and his numbers are going to go up with Bosa out for the season. San Francisco has momentum, and still has their two most important people healthy. Christian McCaffrey and Fred Warner.
Look for Huff to be a valuable IDP for San Francisco going forward. Put a waiver or FAAB on him across most IDP fantasy football leagues.
Josh Jobe, DB, Seattle Seahawks
Josh Jobe is making a name for himself, particularly in the “Great Northwest”. The Alabama product is in his fourth season, and it is looking like a breakout year for him. The Seattle Seahawks revamped their defense this offseason, and Jobe has benefited from more playing time. He appears set for a heavy load of snaps this season.
The Seahawks only have four healthy cornerbacks on the gameday roster, and Jobe is a starter. With Riq Woolen on the opposite side, teams are going to keep passing towards Jobe. This is a great thing in IDP fantasy football leagues. He has played a total of 199 snaps, 190 of which have been defensive. His snaps have gone up each game this season, and Jobe should be on the field for all of Seattle’s defensive snaps this season.
He has 17 combined tackles, 13 of which are solo. He has deflected a pass in every game this season, and is currently tied for sixteenth most. He has one interception, and favorable matches his next three games: the Arizona Cardinals without James Conner next week; at home against the pass-happy Tampa Bay Buccaneers (one of the longest travel games in the NFL); and against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have thrown four interceptions in three games.
Put Jobe on the waiver wire, or put a small amount of FAAB on an IDP who could pop off the next three weeks.
NFL Week 4 IDP Matchups to Capitalize On
Cameron Heyward, DL, Pittsburgh Steelers
- Week 4 Matchup: Minnesota Vikings
Fantasy Alarm is not going to miss the opportunity to have a player in the first NFL game to take place in beautiful Dublin, Ireland. The truth is, this game could have been in Dublin, Texas, and Heyward would still be mentioned. He is a true wrecking force, and was snubbed out of a spot in the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade team… But he might be mentioned in the 2020 All-Decade team. Even if this is his last season.
Heyward has been a force and saved the Steelers from losing to the New England Patriots. He forced a fumble on the 0.5-yard line against Rhamondre Stevenson. The Steelers recovered it and saved a touchdown from being scored. The 36-year-old, former first-round pick has played 167 snaps this season and produced in every game.
First and foremost, he is tied with Jordan Davis for most passes defended by a defensive lineman (3). The former Ohio State Buckeye has 14 combined tackles, 1 forced fumble, 1.0 sack, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 QB hit. He’s doing it all from the interior of the defensive line too.
Look for him to have a good amount of tackles against the run-heavy Minnesota Vikings. Heyward has an opportunity to earn a sack against Carson Wentz, who likes to hold onto the ball for deep passes. Start him in “one-and-done” fantasy football leagues with confidence.
Jonathon Cooper, DL/LB, Denver Broncos
- Week 4 Matchup: Cincinnati Bengals
Jonathon Cooper finally busted on the scene earning a sack against the Los Angeles Chargers. He did earn a sack in the opening game against the Tennessee Titans, but week 3 was his most complete game. He earned 1 sack, 4 combined tackles, 1 QB hit, and 1 tackle for loss. He has a great opportunity to be a top ten IDP in week 4 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The former seventh-round pick has carved out a role for the Denver Broncos. He has started every game since 2023 and has 21 sacks over that span. Jake Browning, the starting quarterback who replaced Joe Burrow, was sacked four times last week. He has thrown five interceptions in just over 1.5 games played, and Cooper will be there to give him grief.
The Denver Broncos are looking for a dominant defensive performance, as it has been the path to their only win this season. A Monday night football game in the Mile High City, with the “Orange Crush Crowd” yelling at max capacity on third down, gives Cooper three advantages. Trust this IDP to deliver on the last game of the week, possibly giving a fantasy football manager the points needed for a comeback win.
Tyrique Stevenson, DB, Chicago Bears
- Week 4 Matchup: Las Vegas Raiders
Tyrique Stevenson is the leader of a banged-up, no-name cornerback room for the Chicago Bears. He may have just played one of the most pass-happy teams in Week 3 and earned a big-time turnover. He forced and recovered a fumble in week 3, and he is set to earn another big turnover in week 4 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Stevenson’s snap count has increased even though his special teams snaps have decreased. He didn’t play any special team snaps in week three, and has recorded 193 snaps in total. 173 of those have come at wide corner, but he also has 10 snaps in the slot (likely due to man coverage).
Stevenson has recorded 13 combined tackles, 3 passes defended (tied for 16th in the NFL), 1 tackle for loss, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery. Geno Smith, quarterback of the Raiders, has thrown four interceptions this season. Sunday’s afternoon match between Chicago and Las Vegas could be a high-volume, high-scoring, and high-passing game. All of those are in Stevenson’s favor for tackles and big plays.
Expect at least 5 tackles, a pass defended, and a big turnover from the former second-round draft pick. Play Stevenson in IDP fantasy football leagues with confidence in week 4.
