10 games on tonight's NBA slate of games and some key players are out of lineups, which has put some nice value plays on the board so let's go into the action!
CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram are both ruled out for the Pelicans tonight in their matchup against the Hornets. This is a great spot for Devonte Graham, going against his former team, to go off. The Hornets are not a good defensive team and play at a fast pace. Graham has finished with 20+ fantasy points in four straight games but has a much higher ceiling than that tonight.
Yep, another point guard from the Pelicans. Jose Alvarado has played 19+ minutes off the bench in three of the last four games and in those three games he finished with 18.5, 24.75, and 20.5 fantasy points. He is just $100 above min-price and certainly should see no less than 20-minutes in tonight's matchup given the rotation.
Great price tag over on DraftKings where he is just $4,500. Kevin Huerter has gone for at least 26 fantasy points in four of the last five games which is over 5x return on his price tag tonight. He draws a great matchup against the Clippers here tonight.
The Hornets will need to play Plumlee plenty tonight as the Pelicans figure to rely pretty heavily on Jonas Valanciunas tonight with CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram off the floor. Plumlee is coming off a 15 rebound effort against the Celtics and pulled down 13 rebounds against the Spurs a few nights ago as well.
With Robert Covington out of the lineup these past two games we've seen Nicolas Batum play 27 and 33 minutes and finish with 21 and 31 fantasy points. With Covington ruled out once again tonight Batum is a sneaky play against a bad Hawks team.
KJ Martin has played 33 and 40 minutes over the last two games with Jae'sean Tate and Christian Wood out of the lineup, and tonight both are expected to sit yet again. Martin has finished with 28 and 36 fantasy points over the last two games and as long as he continues to see this increased playing time he will be a nice bargain.
