Both DraftKings and FanDuel have made this main slate six games beginning at 6 pm EST, but Yahoo! Fantasy has cut it to four games starting at 7 pm EST. Let’s dive into our favorite values of the day for each site's main slate!
All Sites
Jock Landale, SAS
With the Spurs down Dejounte Murray, Derrick White and Jakob Poeltl, we should see Landale slide into the starting lineup on Sunday. The last time we saw Poeltl sit, Landale started and played 25 minutes, notching a double-double. He’s taken over as the primary backup, so again, should see him start. With those three out, Landale averages 1.11 FP/min. Solid value across the board.
Devin Vassell, SAS
The Spurs are down a LOT of key pieces, aka their KEY pieces. No Murray, White or Poeltl. Vassell has been scoring the ball well recently, notching 11+ actual points in four straight games. The shot attempts and the confidence to shoot as he’s attempted 10+ shots in 13 straight games. Vassell is going to have free reign to operate for the Spurs today and he’s one of many options this team will lean on.
Tre Jones, SAS
There have been four instances in which Jones has topped 23 minutes this year and in three of them, he’s put up at least 24 DKP in three of them. He’s drawn two starts and averaged 27.5 minutes in those games as well. Jones is minimum salary on DraftKings and Yahoo! and only 4.1K on FanDuel. He should be a core piece to our builds today as long as he’s starting.
DraftKings
Grayson Allen, MIL ($4,000)
In the game following Allen’s one-game suspension, he played 30 minutes and put up 32.35 DKP. The minutes are the very important part because he out paced both Pat Connaughton and Donte DiVincenzo. With George Hill doubtful, it’s likely DDV plays the backup point-guard role, paving the way for another 30 for Allen here. We know he’s a sharpshooter as he is shooting 39% from three this year. Denver has been a poor defensive unit recently as they rank 23rd in DRtg over the past two weeks.
Maxi Kleber, DAL ($3,700)
The Mavericks front court is much thinner than it was at the start of Saturday’s game as Kristaps Porzingis was injured and ultimately ruled out for the entire second half. He’s also been ruled out for Sunday too, which puts Kleber in the limelight. He double-doubled in just 23 minutes on Saturday without Porzingis and Hardaway healthy, he has a chance to repeat those numbers again on Sunday. He has recently settled into a 23-27 minute role, but he could easily approach 30 today.
FanDuel
Jalen Brunson, DAL ($5,600)
As Mavericks’ players continue to fall, Brunson has been left standing and continues to put out quality performance after quality performance. He’s put up 27+ FDP in three straight games and has topped 40 FDP over that span as well. With Kristaps Porzingis and Tim Hardaway Jr. out, Brunson becomes the de facto number two option, otherwise known as Luka Doncic’s sidekick. With those two off the floor, Brunson has a 24.6% USG and averages .97 FP/min.
Yahoo! Fantasy
Donte DiVincenzo, MIL ($10)
Since returning to action back on January 10th, DiVincenzo’s minutes have ticked up. In each of the last three games, he’s topped 24 minutes in each and with George Hill unlikely to play, there will be plenty to go around for DDV here. He’ll likely slot in as the backup point and shooting-guards. He has had at least one steal in seven of his last eight games, has had three assists in five of seven and has had multiple rebounds in all but one game he’s played in thus far. If and when the scoring comes around, he could break the slate at this salary. With Denver being a bottom-10 defense over the last two weeks, that time could be today.
